Wow! This is how we treat our former players…one that helped the Raiders restore its glory. This organization has become a joke…all because of Senile Al and his puppets. What a waste!

Herrera’s and Davis’ arrogance and complete detachment from reality is really sad to see. The good old days are definitely gone.

It’s hard to know what goes on behind the scenes on either side but it is very sad to see a former Raiders player (who played extremely well although for a short time) be ostracized and preventing a QB from getting help. Especially when that QB needs all the help he can get.

Mr Al Davis was the Maverick of the NFL, intelligent , wist, and schrewed.
Pride did rise up, but the desire to win was always paramount.
Now he has looked not only old but, fragile, weak, & paranoid as he seems to be withering away;
We have Herrera equating Mr. Rich Gannon with terrorists from 9/11 and other nonsense, telling Al what he wants to hear as the Raider Nation collapses upon itself;
therefore Herrera must be Grima Wormtongue!

Herrera’s response to gannon’s offer to help the J. Russell is in disaccord with true professionalism as a spoke person of the Raiders. Herrera, he was not contesting the value of staff the Raiders have now. He was soley trying to offer his expertize.Many Raider players and fans express gratitude for his contributions as a Raiders. please, use restrait when addressing a former Raider MVP.These types of incongruities do not seem to heed the Raiders motto commitment to excellents.

Classic raiders, backing DuhMarcus, congratulations on the past 7 years big Al….the worst 7 years on record in the history of the nfl….oh yea, the lions, yes the lions were ONE game worse than the so called committed to excellence Al Davis and the Oakland Raiders……complete embarassment at every turn, how sad…..

What John Herrera and Al both missed was that they just did Rich Gannon a big fat favor. If they wanted to end the story, they would have quietly given him a call back and said, “thanks, we are actively working on the situation, if our plans don’t work out, we’ll take you up on the offer.”

In business this is known as the polite blow-off.

Instead what John and Al did was give Rich what he craves and needs most: PUBLICITY.

I’m traveling on the east coast and the talk show hosts on the FAN here are talking about it. No doubt this will make Rich a more sought after NFL personality.
