I’ve always appreciated the fact that Davis was not a Bidwell type, only interested in profit.

It’s just that his time has passed, simple as that.

I don’t have a problem with him as Owner. Just General Manager.

Actually, as Owner he’s been unable to secure a new stadium for decades. Alienated every municipality on the West Coast.

And quite frankly, he never did it all by himself when the Raiders were great. Ron Wolf, John Madden.

I was in the bay area last weds on business…Saw the billboard, it was and is a work of art…..

Speaks volumes as to the plight of this once great franchise…..

My favorite team, and the best NFL team ever the 76′ raiders…… But those days are long gone,
Mr. Davis needs to hire a GM and step aside….

Look at who you take information from jon kingdon…
He should hve ben fired during the draft when we took
DHB… Acually he should have been fired for the last several years of draft picks… worst personnel dept in the NFL worst GM, worst Head coach zero OCO…..

Do you remember that “fire that burns brightest is the fire to win” speech he made? I love that he isn’t a bill biwell who never cared about winning but making money. But if that fire is real then EVERYONE has to take a look at what has been going on. Six coaches, all those qbs, coordinators, free agents, drafts. THis is all on Al and no objective observer could argue.

The usual Al Davis off-season Dog n’ Pony show will not fly this time. Hiring another Head Coach off the scrap heap, and a flashy FA signing, etc. Is no longer credible. Been doing that for the last 7 years to no avail.

The line has been crossed, the billboards are up, the ads are out, and the tickets are still in the office.

I completely agree. That is why making cable makes sense on one hand, but in the bigger picture, AL has to do something bigger than that to right this thing.

This is something new for Al Davis, the fans are not having it anymore. He’s being openly questioned. They had the lowest attendance in the league this year. Only the home opener sold out, barely. 7 straight blackouts.
AND, look for the Opener to be blackout next year, UNLESS CREDIBLE change is perceived by the fans. Period. I think even he has to acknowledge that.
