Condo added to Pro Bowl roster
By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Tuesday, January 19th, 2010 at 4:39 pm in Oakland Raiders.
Long-snapper Jon Condo was added to the AFC Pro Bowl roster, the Raiders announced.
Condo joins cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha and punter Shane Lechler on the AFC roster. Lechler believes Condo to be the best snapper he’s ever had, noting the velocity of the ball coming back to him makes it much more difficult for opponents to go for a block.
In his third year since taking over for Adam Treu, Condo has been nearly perfect on his snaps with the added bonus that he has been a valued member of coverage units as well after getting rid of the ball.

NFL’s All Time Worst 5 General Managers.
————————–
#4
Wow, a one-time genius is now stuck in the past. When an owner/general manager continues to use the phrase “commitment to excellence” over and over again to describe a team that has a record of 29-83 since 2003, 7 consecutive seasons of 11 loses or more, and 4 coaches in 6 years, you know he’s living in the past. The once proud franchise took a page out of Daniel Snyder’s business handbook on Football management. At one time, this franchise had the greatest winning percentage in all of professional sports, was a perennial playoff team and contender year after year. Somewhere along the way, Al Davis went completely insane, hired and fired coaches over and over again, and displayed a complete lack of understanding not typical of someone in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Known as a ‘maverick’, he’s certainly that as he’s ignored the conventional wisdom of hiring good people and leaving them alone. Instead, he’s known to interfere in play calling, chasing over the hill free agents, and drafting complete duds like Jamarcus Russell whose 3 year quarterback rating is an abysmal 65.2%.

All Govt can do is take our money and piss it away. Thats why after your “boy” spent 800 billion we didnt gain we actually lost jobs.

KK, I think Davis’s slavish devotion to doing things “the Raider way” has cost us dearly. In combat you must be able to adapt and flow in order to succeed. Davis hasn’t.
He is right, his system can work, but its inflexibility and selection of athletes over football players has cost us dearly.
Davis picks physical specimens and then wonders why they don’t bust azz and go over the hill for football. Then he blames the coaches for not motivating them.
Have to say though, Daivs HAS to take all responsibilty for Oaklands failures doesn’t he?
Can’t have it both ways and say he blames the coaches when he’s soley responsible for hiring them in the first place.
Expecting coaches to motivate athletes instead of football players seems a mistep indeed…granting them the lee way to shirk is another fatal flaw.

Davis’s system hasn’t really worked since 1989 when Free Agency started.

Maybe family deaths contributed to Russell’s apparent lack of focus, maybe not. Like Jerry has said, if Russell stays and shows up at camp fat and throwing balls into the turf, he’ll likely be cut regardless of the $31 mill guaranteed.

June 18, 2009|By Victoria Colliver, Chronicle Staff Writer
California voters think the nation’s health care system needs to be fundamentally changed or completely rebuilt, but they don’t necessarily embrace the major reforms proposed in Washington, a new Field Poll shows.
A robust majority – 71 percent – of registered voters said they wanted the system changed or rebuilt. That sentiment was shared across political parties, with 82 percent of Democrats, 73 percent of non-partisans and 55 percent of Republicans supporting a major overhaul.

Mike Waufle is a heckuva a football coach and it would be a good addition (to whoevers coaching staff) if he were to takeover as D-Line coach!
I think overall, Waufle is a better D-Line coach than Dwayne Board.

Majority of Americans are upset about the president.
As evidenced by a 45% approval rating this past month of President Barack Obama.
Interesting note, 44% of voters would rather have Bush than Obama.
Bush was a piece of turd.

I wonder where those skewed poll #’s are being taken from? Must be somewhere will stupid, uneducated fools live! LOL

Oh yeah Kell
When it comes to the Raiders, we see eye to eye. Al Davis would rather prove a stupid point than win a game. He’s incompetent and out dated. Can’t run a team in the modern free agent era.
But politics, There’s a reason why I’m libertarian.
When people were screaming for McCain, I was screaming for Ron Paul.

As bad as the media portrayed BUSH to be. 0bama socialism is being rejected and kicked in the teeth!
January 19th, 2010 at 6:32 pm
You’re the joke lady.
Bush broke the economy.
Mired us in Iraq and Afghanistan
Helped poison our food supply and everything else I already stated.
Erroded our privacy
Wrecked our freedom
Pissed off most of the world
Got in bed with communist China
et al. on and on…
Weak arguments compared to Obamy’s so called crimes.
“transparency”?
LMAO! Yep, thats what the Repubs were…
Keep thinking I’m some sort of Liberal democrat moron. I’m an American who hates what our Gov has done to the country I used to ove, but don’t recognize now.

Hey….maybe Brown will be the next President of the US huh? How about that for a genius idea?
Moron….mistabrown.

American citizens are too stupid to ever govern themselves. That is why they leave it to the duplicitous like Nixon, Daddy Bush and Clinton, or the moronic like Dubya and Reagan to run things.
Obamarama, like Carter, is not dumb enough nor conniving enough to do it the way the spineless Congress and ignorant masses can abide with.
Wave that flag. Wave it wide and high.

Obama’s problem is between kowtowing to the friggin’ Chinese government, attempting to please the world stage with his otherness and bending over for the corporately-owned Right wingers he has become nothing but a caricature. The man may have had some good beliefs at some moment but he sold out.

Good for Condo. It’s one of those unheralded positions in football where no one even notices you until you screw up. I don’t recall Condo ever screwing up a snap. Think about it: 0 punts blocked; Janikowski only missed 3 tries all season and none were due to a bad snap. Condo was perfect at his craft.
