If Russell is THE weak link, why do we need to upgrade the Oline, WRs, and OC?

Why not just plug Grads in and keep everyone else? I mean, we were a hands down playoff team if not for Russell, right?

Look, there are holes on this team with or without Russell. Fact of the matter is Russell is part of the problem. Not THE problem but PART of the problem.

The fact that a journeyman outcast outplayed him by so much that they looked like a completely different team says all you need to know. But if you want more, throw in the fact that both his teammates and coaches have publicly implied that he’s not giving it his all. There are players so disgusted that they are leaking info to media members. He even threw his teammates under the bus to the media and went as far as saying that he played well when he, in fact, stunk up the joint. Said he didn’t understand why he was being benched and that the team was making plays for Bruce, minimizing the effort from his fellow QB that he admittedly leans on for help.

The kid needs his head examined, plain and simple. Either he has issues in his medulla oblongata or he is one lazy ass that simply doesn’t give a sh1t. Take your pick.

teams have won in the nfl with subpar qb’s and how did they do it? pound the ball and stellar d. now, jr has talent but can you tap it…in my opinion no. why because he is not qualified to be a nfl qb simply because he can make every throw, you have to know how to use it and be able to make quick reads etc..
just because he gave a great pro day performance doesn’t mean you can do it in a game situation.

It is FACT that there is no salary cap for the 2010 season. IF they somehow manage to instate a new CBA in the next few months a salary cap may be included. Where I sit today there is NO salary cap, and anyone close to the situation will tell you the Raiders have a better chance at winning the Super Bowl next year then a CBA being in place in time for 2010 season.

Yeah, I sit around all day and pray to my Al Davis doll.

There’s a difference between respecting the man and worshiping him.

I fully acknowledge his horrible handling of his beloved team over the past 7 years.

I also have the capacity in my brain to realize that it’s starting to improve and that it will get turned around again.

Go look at storied teams like the Celtics throughout their history and you’ll find that they’ve had prolonged periods of times in which they’ve really sucked.

But, they eventually turned it around, without the ship being blown up or the owner needing to die.

You don’t get that?

Too bad for you.

the fact that teams can come in and be worst to first jhill, tells me there is very little difference in nfl talent. it’s how you use it.

i know jamarcus will qb the raiders because al can’t swollow his pride or can’t let go of his investment or both. it’s not like anything we say here will sway him, it’s for entertainment purposes.

you constantly defend russell, i assumed you like him. maybe your just a davis apologist.
