LMN,
I’m guessing Cable told Jackson that if he’s retained he’ll be working with Gradkowski, Frye & Losman.
What would Hue Jackson see in Russell that nobody else in the world does ???
also, if i’m Hue Jackson i’m telling Cable to fix the O-Line pronto!

well yeah, atleast we still can pull a fish or two in
January 26th, 2010 at 7:12 am
Ray Rice is everything I hoped McFadden would be, while Flacco is everything we all hoped JaMarcus would be.
January 26th, 2010 at 7:14 am
I hope we use our first round pick in a lineman like the Ravens did with Ben Grubbs (2007) and Michael Oher (2009)
January 26th, 2010 at 7:15 am
5th?
January 26th, 2010 at 7:16 am
El Tato…we need that line to fixed pronto! I hope we can find a story like Oher this year!

I would be happy to trade Russell and Darren for Flacco and Ray Rice.
January 26th, 2010 at 7:19 am
give the Ravens for Flacco what the Bears gave for Cutler!
two 1st rounders & Russell.
January 26th, 2010 at 7:20 am
So we get Waufle back and Hue Jackson to be OC…
When is Free Agency?
January 26th, 2010 at 7:21 am
Hope we have the same success with the OL the Ravens had:
LT Jared Gaither (Supplemental Draft 2007)
LG Ben Grubbs (Frist Round 2007)
RG Marshall Yanda (Third Round 2007)
RT Michael Oher (First Round 2009)
C Jason Brown (St. Louis Rams)- He was a Ravens 4th rounder in 2005, he just signed the biggest free agent contract last season for a Center, started 3 years in Baltimore.
January 26th, 2010 at 7:21 am
Wait a minute…I heard we have a bunch of pics this year…like 3 3rds and 3 4ths or something like that? Can that be confirmed?
January 26th, 2010 at 7:21 am
Smart move by the Raiders!
Hue has proven his ability to coach both quarterbacks and wide recievers in the NFL.
Plus he has worked with Coach Cable in college. Hopefully he can get the silver and black back on track offensively!
Raider Nation!

S&B Defense thought we should draft WR Johnny Knox in the 7th Round last year. the Bears snagged him in Round 5 and he outplayed both DHB & Murphy!
S&B Defense for GM. good eye for talent
January 26th, 2010 at 7:29 am
Ok so the NEW cable watch starts on week 1.
January 26th, 2010 at 7:29 am
trade Russell for WR Johnnie Morant!
January 26th, 2010 at 7:31 am
Jonnie Morant? Where did he go?
Anyways, thanks Tato, 4eva and Vegas for confirming the draft…
January 26th, 2010 at 7:31 am
You mean someone would rather work in Oakland than with the Bears?
I thought nobody would come here unless no other option was available.
Isn’t that what everyone keeps saying?
I guess some people were just WRONG!
January 26th, 2010 at 7:31 am
El Tato: Hue Jackson had no say on Baltimore’s OL as QB Coach, but I sure hope he has some say on Oakland’s OL as Offensive Coordinator!

Good move Al.
Offense is out of Cable’s hands, and we get to see this defense year 2 under Marshall.
Next order of business is to upgrade the Oline!
January 26th, 2010 at 7:39 am
Good morning to all me friends in here,..just awesome to start my day with you people,…thank you for that.
January 26th, 2010 at 7:41 am

Jerry reporting on twitter…
Hue Jackson fallout? My understanding is that QB coach Paul Hackett did not accompany Raiders coaches to Mobile.
January 26th, 2010 at 7:49 am
75,..stop doing that, if they want to see Jerrys tweets, let them follow him like we do.
January 26th, 2010 at 7:50 am

January 26th, 2010 at 7:55 am
lol yah its you man
January 26th, 2010 at 7:56 am
So Hackett is getting scape-goated for Russell’s failures??
Another brainaic move from Al
January 26th, 2010 at 7:57 am
F*ck Kackett…let him return to either KC or the Niners.
January 26th, 2010 at 7:58 am
Ha and they said we couldn’t get any real coaches .
January 26th, 2010 at 7:59 am
However, keeping Cable and hiring a real OC to call the plays is what most of us wanted, from the beginning.
So today is great day to be a Raider fan isn’t it!!!
January 26th, 2010 at 8:00 am
Hue Jackson is great.
He performed very well at the Oscars!
January 26th, 2010 at 8:00 am
Thank You Very Much 408!!!!
January 26th, 2010 at 8:02 am
Cmon Vegas,
Bayou was in here telling us about the Russell/Hackett beef in what, the pre season?
Obviously Cable isn’t mad at the guy who got him a chance to coach in the NFL.
January 26th, 2010 at 8:06 am
So I guess Satele will be back at C with Cable coming back.
Pears and Carlisle will probably be backups with Langston taking over and RG. I wonder if Barnes is going to get another shot at OT?
January 26th, 2010 at 8:10 am
Report: Hue Jackson takes Oakland OC job
We got Wolverine to coach the offense?
And someone named Mike Waufle to coach the defensive line, huh?
Report: Mrs. Butterworth to coach special teams, the Hamburglar will be defensive backs coach and the Incredible Hulk inked as linebackers coach.
January 26th, 2010 at 8:16 am
Good job Al. Now stop relaying plays via the sideline phone and maybe the Raiders will have a little magic on offense this year.
January 26th, 2010 at 8:16 am
Hue Jackson fallout? My understanding is that QB coach Paul Hackett did not accompany Raiders coaches to Mobile.
***
so we pitch one of the best QB coaches in the game in favor of the worst starting QB in the league?
typical Raider move. way to go Al!
here comes another 5-11 season. woohoo!
January 26th, 2010 at 8:18 am
Soon we’ll even know who our head coach is,,,cool!
January 26th, 2010 at 8:18 am
4eva..
its nothin brethren…
January 26th, 2010 at 8:19 am
the Bears have interest in Paul Hackett.
he won’t be unemployed for 2 weeks.
what about Ted Tollner? does that mean he’s been demoted to QB Coach or did he get axed too ???
January 26th, 2010 at 8:20 am
Hugh Jackman as new OC is awful news for all us Jamarcus haters.
January 26th, 2010 at 8:21 am
I love Top 10 draft picks!
yippee!
January 26th, 2010 at 8:21 am
However he was awesome in Happy Feet.
January 26th, 2010 at 8:22 am
Is there confirmation Hackett was let go? Just because he isnt at the Sr bowl doesnt mean he is fired… just means we arent drafting a QB
January 26th, 2010 at 8:23 am
Fire Cable Now!!
Promote Hue to HC!!!
January 26th, 2010 at 8:23 am
I need to ask Jerry Mac a question during his live chat.
do teams ever carry an Offensive Coordinator AND Passing Game Coordinator ???
My guess is “no” …
January 26th, 2010 at 8:25 am
Just because he isnt at the Sr bowl doesnt mean he is fired… just means we arent drafting a QB
***
Tim Tebow has been training with Usain Bolt. He’ll run a 4.3 forty and get drafted by Al anyways
January 26th, 2010 at 8:28 am
Jackson seems like a guy who’s had pretty good success. Don’t know much about him but it seems like a good hire.
I hope now he can talk Al into acquiring Troy Smith from the Ravens to compete with Gradkowski and whoever else (Frye, Losman, JaMarcus, Southwick) for the starting job.
January 26th, 2010 at 8:30 am
whats up O?
that would be funny if Al scheduled a press conference and named Hue Jackson Head Coach after all the media reports of him being named Offensive Coordinator.
I’d rather have:
HC Jackson
OC Tollner
QB Hackett
than
HC Cable
OC Jackson
QB ???
January 26th, 2010 at 8:35 am
Bummer, this better mean Jackson gets to CALL the plays, decided who gets to play, and have major input on the offensive line lol.
The only reason Cable is still coach is the pending lockout.
January 26th, 2010 at 8:36 am
1987-2000 Jackson was a college coach.
2001-2009 Jackson was an NFL coach.
Jackson began his coaching career in 1987 at his alma mater, the University of the Pacific. After three years there, he moved on to Cal State Fullerton (1990-91), Arizona State (’92-95) and California (’96). At Cal, he was Offensive Coordinator and helped lead the Golden Bears to an Aloha Bowl berth.
His last college post was as Offensive Coordinator for the University of Southern California from 1997-2000. Jackson’s duties in his last three years at USC included the recruiting and early development of Bengals QB Carson Palmer, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft. Palmer came to USC in 1998. Jackson also helped recruit Matt Leinart before he left USC.
***
Is Matt Leinart a free agent?
January 26th, 2010 at 8:37 am
RR,
I like That!
Jackson as the HC, Tollner as OC, and I’m ok with Hackett as QB coach. I’m not sold on hackett!
January 26th, 2010 at 8:38 am
Hue Jackson played QB at UOP in Stockton.
January 26th, 2010 at 8:40 am
I also don’t want to see Bruce playing QB for us.
I’m going to get a lot of heat for this, but I still think JR can be salvaged, and he should start next season if he improves his work ethic.
January 26th, 2010 at 8:40 am
LOL @ People gloating because Hue Jackson “chose” the RAIDERS over the Bears….
Let’s be REALISTIC people…..
Did Gibril Wilson “choose” the “Raiders” over a championship quality team?? Or did he choose 38 million??
Did Javon Walker “choose” to play for the “RAIDERS” over a handful of other suitors (more talented ones) or did he choose 50+ million??
It is much more likely that Hue got an offer he couldn’t refuse… Trust me, he probably would have preferred to mentor Jay Cutler over a lost cause like Jamarcus Russell..
there are some very stupid posters on here LOL
January 26th, 2010 at 8:41 am
Paul Hackett was at USC with Hue Jackson from 1998-2000.
He might have a good relationship with Hue?
January 26th, 2010 at 8:43 am
new post!
January 26th, 2010 at 8:49 am
Raider O ,,
you’re only thinking what most people are thinking but wont say because its easier to call him dumb names like JaMeatball,,JaFatass & all that other stupid sh*t. Lets just hope he grows up in the next few months and earn back the respect he lost this year.
