Brown misses first HOF cut
By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer

Tim Brown was among five of the 15 modern era players who failed to survive the first cut as selectors put together the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2010.
Also missing out was wide receiver Cris Carter, San Diego Chargers and Arizona Cardinals coach Don Coryell, running back Roger Craig and defensive end Charles Haley.
The 10 candidates will be whittled to five, with those five needing 80 percent, or at least 36 of the 44 votes on a yes-no basis.
The surviving modern era candidates are center Dermontti Dawson, defensive end Richard Dent, guard Russ Grimm, linebacker Rickey Jackson, defensive tackle Cortez Kennedy, defensive tackle John Randle, wide receiver Andre Reed, tight end Shannon Sharpe, and the two slam-dunk candidates, wide receiver Jerry Rice and running back Emmitt Smith.
More to come . . .

Not entirely unexpected and with Cris Carter not getting in for the second straight year, Timmy is not a lock for next year either.

Charles Haley should be there in place of Cortez Kennedy. Cortez Kennedy? Come on man!

You know, I think VegasRaider brought this up: pick a GM from another organization and let’s compare that guys picks over the last three years to what Davis has done over the last 3 years.

You’re being ridiculous
A Little Perspective.
The 80yr old GM produced this:
09′ 5-11
08′ 5-11
07′ 4-12
06′ 2-14
05′ 4-12
04′ 5-11
03′ 4-12
7 Straight Double-Digit Losing Seasons. (NFL Record)
Al Davis:
Lowest attendance in the NFL.
2nd least valuable franchise in NFL.
In the last 7 years:
5 Head Coaches,
8 Starting QB’s.
1 General Manager, Al Davis
Since Free Agency:
6 winning seasons in the last 20.
3 winning seasons in the last 15.
Do you really believe scapegoating YET ANOTHER Head Coach is going to solve this mess?

apparently they are plenty of people who regard CCarter first and foremost an an undeserving a$$hole.
good for those who push him aside.

KoolKell,
whining about something isn’t a solution either.
