ESPN: Pendergast will coach Raiders DBs

By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Saturday, February 6th, 2010 at 5:23 pm in Oakland Raiders.

ESPN is reporting that deposed Kansas City defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast will coach the Raiders’ defensive backs in 2010.

Pendergast could either replace incumbent secondary coach Lionel Washington, who is still under contract, or join Washington on staff. Willie Brown, who assists in the secondary and is in charge of “squad development,” told Comcast SportsNet he was retiring.

Al Davis is committed to getting JaDavis right. I think Hue Jackson was brought in to get JaDavis ready to play. I think Al Davis made JaDavis go to Arizona…which is why he left for a bender in Vegas before having to get to work….

Connect the dots….Cable has been effectively demoted..not even given a public vote of confidence although he will stay as head coach.

    Hackett/Tollner status in limbo

Hue Jackson, mentor to QBs, RBs and WRs hired to rebuild JaDavis

    JaDavis in Arizona

JP Losman brought in at the end of last year

To me that points to Gradkowski being behind the 8-ball…..

JaDavis started last year and was 30lbs overweight and didn’t know the playbook…..He PROBABLY won’t be overweight this time and will probably put at least 2 days a week into the playbook…..He will show to most of theOTAs……so regardless of his performance on the field…I believe Al Davis is going to play him the 1st 5 or 6 gms minimum

  • HairyBush

Jhill, I have to agree, I like Grads fire & passion but don’t see him holding up.

  • Dude

If Gradkowski is seen as even a small threat to Dough Boy, Davis will send him packing. Kind of like how Garcia was convieniently jettisoned last year. Davis in all his wisdom dismissed Gradkowski and Frye as non-threats to his chosen one which is why they were kept.

    =======================================================
LOL….I thought you were just in it to go to all the games with friends….sounds like you have an axe to grind against Al Davis. You do realize he is making all the decisions…including the decision to play JaDavis!

    LOL

  • HairyBush

Garcia was let go because he did not wasnt to be here FYI

  • Norco Bob

    Exactly

  • VanHeathen

except the “Chosen One” is a steaming pile of CRAP!

  • Norco Bob

I have no axe to grind with davis,…but youre wrong hes still in love with russell,…he hates that POS now,..and Russell is done,..period,…has lost team, and coaching staff,..and now the owner,…hes done,…will be allowed to compete in Napa, but will easily come in dead last of all qb`s,…and released.

  • Dude

The most shocking part of the morning posts……SnB hasnt droned on about how great Mike Bush is. Stunning!

I would rather be wrong anyday about Jamarcus and see him step up so we can get back to where we belong in the NFL. If I were a betting man I would say the odds of Jamarcus proving me wrong are around 1 in 10.

    Well said Hairy
10 to one odds are probaly right

  • Einstein

Dorco Bob is The Real Madden Gayder as a troll. It’s obvious.

  • Dude

    Bush,

Garcia was let go cuz he didnt want to be here?? Oh, ok. You believe that I gots a bridge to sell ya.

  • Norco Bob

whats obvious eistein is youre clueless….how come all you losers think Im always someone else,..einstein,..youre a dork.

  • VanHeathen

I’d like to be wrong about JR too,
but after 3 years, he’s gotten worse,
in almost every facet of the Job…
I’m tired of waiting , watching my team get humiliated every Sunday…

  • Einstein

Garcia was let go because he is old and isn’t any good anymore. Had nothing to do with Al Davis and JaFatazz Russel you moron.

  • Norco Bob

garcia wasnt let go, he asked ot be released,..thats no secret….and I dont blame him,…no legit qb should sit beind russell.

  • Einstein

Suk it Dorco Boob. You are a fukin tool.

  • Norco Bob

nanheathen, if youre tired of it, stop watching.

  • Norco Bob

ok einstein,..thats so terrible, coming from you,..as if anyone gives a f*ck what you say.

  • Norco Bob

I will be ok in a minute,..meds about to kick in,..hang in there.

  • Einstein

Do us a favor Dorco Boob, take the whole bottle and enjoy a dirt nap.

  • Dude

    Einstein,

STFU. You know nothing and are nothing. Period. End of story.

  • Norco Bob

ok,..meds kicked in,..I love you all now. :)

  • Plunketthead

    lol Einstein

It would not suprise me in the least. Whoever has the Norc troll is not running it very well.
He gets too many things messed up.
Might as well change it to flip flop bob

    No offense meant Norc
    just sayin

  • Norco Bob

Im the only Norco Bob…period….go ahead and test me.

  • jhill

    Garcia was jettisoned?

He came up with a lame calf injury, and then quit. He was the worst QB we had in the preseason BY FAR.

It his HILARIOUS that his name keeps coming up.

  • HairyBush

Dude, It’s not opinion it’s fact. Once Garcia found out it truly was Jamarcus’s job and there would be no open competition he asked to be released. Check your facts-I did

When Garcia first came to Oakland he figured he could win the job, even though they were clear in telling him he would be the backup-just sayin

  • jhill

Why was Garcia even signed in the first place then, lol?!?!?

Your theory is he played so well and was shining so bright that he presented a challenge to JaFukdus?

    LMFAO!

  • HairyBush

Jhill, I a agree once again, why are we talking about a washed up crybaby?

  • Norco Bob

Cable said publicly that garcia asked to be released…lol…thats the truth if you homos cant handle it,..everyone knows russell sucks,..I applaud garcia for leaving,..russell sucks, period….I knew that before we drafted him.

  • HairyBush

Even our beloved Jerry said Garcia stunk it up in camp, and was not really bonding with other players. He was on the wrong side of the bay.

  • Norco Bob

Garcia has been to pro bowls, won playoff games,…hes better then russell in his sleep.

  • Norco Bob

Come this august, when russell is released,..not one nfl team will pick him up.

  • jhill

Too bad he wasn’t better than Grads or Frye.

  • http://www.ralphlicciardi.com/images/ibew.gif r8eray

Norco, I hope you got some inside scoop on that?

  • Norco Bob

Inside scoop?…dont need any,…its clear to all,..he wont make it out of Napa.

  • http://www.ralphlicciardi.com/images/ibew.gif r8eray

‘I wish..I wish with all my heart!!’

  • HairyBush

I think it’s time to start a little pregame boozin before the game. I think I’ll get really drunk and pretend the Saints are wearing silver & black.

  • HairyBush

Good luck to everyone who put $ on the game-Mr.Sam Adams is calling my name!

He also played 5 years in Canada and then sat behind Steve Young for a few years who by that time had perfected Walsh’s system that they ran for 20 years. Not quite the same as here.

  • Seymour Bush

And let’s reiterate what we learned from last night:

It’s true. If someone has to come in here every day and rant and rave about someone they have never met, they are owned by that person. Completely totally owned. Kinda like the way that oakglen guy owns wack-o-chet and mistabrOwn.

    (To Wack-o-chet)

STFU moron, your are the resident whipping boy of this blog with ZERO credibility. So just keep your nonsense to your self dik sucker.

    Well said.

  • jhill

Any chance Andy Walter has a bit more humility now and is willing to come in and compete for a backup spot?

  • jhill

What about Tui for the #3 QB?

  • HairyBush

Maybe we can Donald Hollas out of retirement?

  • SnB offense defense specialteams

    Jhill,

Its all about JaDavis Russell turning it around. Al Davis is fully committed to JaDavis. Walter will come back for sure. Especially if there are no other offers. He better humble himself or get a desk job.

Here’s another question. Which player on the field today will be a Raider start 2010?

  • armond

yeah walter must love how professional the pats were when they released his azz!! some people have brought up signing marshal yanda from the ravens. i hope hue jackson can get in his ear cuz that could be a good pickup. we definately need a wr coach in the worst way.

  • Seymour Bush

Actually, I heard Todd Marinovich is getting out of jail soon. He doesn’t have a lot of tread on him. Maybe he should come back here and try again like Shell II.
