He was taking up 2 & sometimes 3 blockers. That meant someone else was open to make the play. He would have played next to Kelly if he’d been picked. Football is a team game and if a player can draw multiple coverage then someone else has a better opportunity to make he key play. It’s not always the guy getting the sack that’s making he play. Someone had to create an environment for he other guy to shine. Still say Ellis would have provided us more bang for the buck had he been picked. Given he wasn’t we’ll have top root for DMAC. Why draft a RB in the Top 5 when you’re already a Top 10 rushing team?

We had Jordan, Fargas, Rhodes, Echemandu and Bush at the time … the last thing we needed was another RB

but now that McFadden is a Raider I root for him and wish him the best
