Morrison gets original round tender

Raiders linebacker Kirk Morrison received an original round tender Wednesday, which would give him a $2.521 million salary and give the Raiders a third-round pick in return should he get a multi-year offer with another team, according to a source close to Morrison.
According to NFLPA figures, Morrison made $2,295 million in salary last season. With five accrued seasons, Morrison would receive $1,226 million or 110 percent of his previous year’s salary, whichever is greater.
Morrison has led the Raiders in tackles for the past four years and is a five-year starter.

Norco, for the umpteenth time, the authorities can do whatever they like. My role as a citizen is to just report it. That’s all I can do. If I see it again, I’ll report it again. If they do nothing, they do nothing. I’m not going to stop reporting it, though. And, despite what Richochet said, I wasn’t laughed at. I was actually thanked.

Then when I proved to you that only two starters on that team remained from Dungy’s tenure, you flip flopped and tried to change the subject to their schedule strength. Routt will remain a Raider at $3.268 million _ not bad for a nickel back. He earned $620,000 in 2009 in the last year of his original contract.

Whoever tendered Routt at the highest tender is a freakin moron. I think we know who’s responsible for that one. The guy freakin sucks. He should be our 4th or 5th corner at best. This really shows how much AD values corners, even when they’re not that good. I’d rather have Fabian Washington. I’d rather have Chris Carr. I’d rather line Thomas Howard over a WR than put Routt on him. I wouldn’t even tender Routt. I’d let him test the market. I would tender Howard as a 2nd rounder and Morrison as a 3rd rounder.

I said, if you call 9-7 winners even tho they lost to a Detroit team that would go 0 fer the next year, lost three of their last four, and got smacked down at home in a playoff game to the NY giants. And all of that is in a division that did not have ONE OTHER TEAM with a winning record. That’s what I said. And their best players were STILL from Dungy. That’s what I said. You claim 9-7 losing 3 of their last four, and getting rolled in the first round is a winner. I don’t.

Hank Fraley (Center) for the Browns got released today. He might be worth a look to compete with Satele. Hes 32 so he may or may not have a lot left in the tank but he could give us about 3 years I figure.

I just paid the ticket portion. The group I’m in doesn’t get offered the parking pass until June. And there was no discount on tickets like I had been hearing. Same as last year. I alos park in lot A.

Seymour Bush, 9 wins and a division title is winning. Yes, the strength of a team’s schedule does play a role in their record. But their job is to win, and if they win, they did their job. The same rules applied to them in 2007 that applied to every other team. They didn’t change some rule mid season that allowed them to get into the playoffs. I like the uncapped season rules. It really makes things interesting. The fact that the Broncos tendered Orton as at a 1st round tender is interesting because if a team is desperate for a QB, they have the opportunity to make a big enough offer to him and to steal him away. This stuff just makes the NFL more fun.

Nnamdi did seem over rated last year. Got thrown at more it seemed and got beat a few times. Revis seems to be the best right now but Nnamdi’s not far behind. He’s still one of the best in what has become a passing League.
Routt on the other hand has done nothing but get burned in his limited time on the field.
The guy has shown over and over he simply isn’t rising to the occasion.
To pay a nickle that kind of scratch (If its true) seems out of line for what he gives.

As far as Morrison and Howard go, all you have to do is WATCH THE TAPE!!! Look at the big runs opposing teams had and in almost ALL of them, you see both these jokers tied up by a blocker or simply in the wrong gap. They both suck. Raiders keep them as starters and you can bet your bippy the Raiders end up as one of the worst teams against the run in 2010….as usual!!!
