Hey, a new face . . . kind of

Defensive lineman Chris Cooper, who has played for San Francisco, Dallas and Seattle and Arizona since leaving the Raiders following the 2003 season, signed as a free agent Tuesday, according to Raiders.com.

An end in his first go-round with Oakland, where he was nicknamed “Baby Howie” because he bore a physical resemblance to Hall of Famer Howie Long and wore No. 75, Cooper was identified as a tackle on the Raiders transaction page.

The Raiders are thin at tackle after cutting Gerard Warren, with only Tommy Kelly, Desmond Bryant and William Joseph on the roster.

Cooper is the first Raiders player to sign who wasn’t with the club last year.

Linebacker Kamerion Wimbley was acquired by trade from Cleveland.

    Jesus H Christ!!!

We resign retread after retread. Year after Year. And we suck season after season.

No wonder no high profile free agent wants to come here.

Al Davis is pure stupid no matter what the best move is for the team, no doubt he will make the bumbest move ever known to man and leave us all scratching our heads in disbelief. So to all life long Raider fans as you already know things will never change. And if you think the draft will be better it won’t,at least as long as Al is making the picks. “RAIDERS FOR LIFE”

As the above poster mentioned it is wishful thinking, but that’s who I want.

I fear Al will pick whichever player would pi$$ the most people off.
