Morrison signs tender
By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer

Kirk Morrison broke the news on his Twitter account:
“Just walked into the facility and signed my tender with the Raiders. I’m excited to see what 2010 season holds.”
By signing his tender, Morrison is by no means locked in as a Raider in 2010, however.
Fact is, he can’t be traded unless the tender is signed, and the money _ Morrison’s figure based on a percentage increase from 2009 is $2.521 million _ is not guaranteed.
Having Morrison signed makes him eligible to be traded as the Raiders enter the draft.

I’ll take him at SAM

I’d like to take a tackle at 8 but I think our offseason moves, if you can call it that, mean we’re going in another direction. Don’t see a DT or McClain. My thoughts are Spoon!
Would like to see Alex Carrington or Austen Lane in the draft.

I’m So Excited I Just Bipartisaned in My Pants!

Scott and Kirk would make a GREAT SAM,imo Nnamdi!!!! Great depth, imo, prolly the best tandem of SAM in the league if you think about it
April 14th, 2010 at 6:56 pm
I also think we need a new captain in the middle of this defense, I hope we draft Brandon Spikes I have feeling he will be the better player between Mcclain and him. Mcclain had a huge help from Mt Cody. Cody was unstoppable and all Mcclain had to do was tackle, Spikes was the heart n soul of that defense. Spikes doesn’t have raider speed true that, but he does have game speed, he played 4-3 n tackled well. This guy is going to be one of the top rookies MLB the game ever seen if he lands with a good team.

Soo ….we still need the elusive MLB????

kirk morrison is playing like betty white
April 14th, 2010 at 7:03 pm
Cuz Spikes had NOOOOOOOO help at Florida. LOL!!!
April 14th, 2010 at 7:04 pm
True Fat Kidd, but it seems he has been used in the middle for pursuit, not to attack.Take the pressure of the MLB spot away and we just might have a pro-bowl SAM.Kirk needs 2 attack at all times 2B effictive, imo

Have a beautiful evening Nation!

They need to add a OT or DT for sure, since don’t have many on the Roster now.
I think I’d like McClain too, but, they cannot go into the season with the OT’s and DT’s they have on the current Roster.

News, observations and reader questions about the Oakland Raiders

Raiders eyeing Sheppard, Haden to replace Johnson?
With teams staying away from Nnamdi Asomugha’s side of the field, fellow cornerback Chris Johnson has taken more than his fair share of abuse. But have the Raiders become so disenchanted with Johnson they are looking to upgrade on that side of the field? CJ
Not only has Florida’s Joe Haden claimed this week that the Raiders are one of four teams that have him on their respective radar heading into the draft, NFL.com listed the Raiders as a potential landing spot for free agent Lito Sheppard, who was visiting Detroit. Sheppard, 29, and released by the Jets on March 4, has 19 career interceptions since

I’d rather a sharp stick in the eye. But, you never know with Davis.
April 14th, 2010 at 8:17 pm
I don’t say a lot…mainly listen. However, right now a banana peel would have a better chance at making a tackle. I like Morrison, but it’s time to move on. Spikes would be great if only for his size alone.
This draft is so deep that it makes me shake my head as Im writing this cuz of Al. Can someone find Raider Nation a Leprechaun.
April 14th, 2010 at 8:25 pm
The whole situation with Joe Haden saying he has been meeting with the Raiders makes so much sense. Al Davis covets cover corners more than anything. Haden is the best cover corner in the draft. Pairing him with Nmandi gives Al memories of Lester Hayes and Mike Haynes. This is more important to Al than a LT. It certainly is not the number one priority, but I can see Al making this pick. In the grand scale, it is not a pick that is half bad. He will try to get OL help in the 2nd and third. Oh, this will be the help he gives the DLine, more time to get to the QB because the WRs will be covered…

pass rush makes Conres better, not the other way around though.
