Look for us to grab a RB tomorrow, Cable said yesterday he wants to address the lines and RB in the draft.

So far I really like the picks, hopefully we can get a guard who can step in and start next year, along with a starting FB. My God, most of the posts today are positive, I have NEVER seen that on here before.

Chris In NY,
Why the steep drop for Campbell? I watched the link you posted, and was impressed. I thought he looked like a player. Agile, mobile and hostile, as they say.

Do you think teams are scared that he could be "artificially enhanced"? Maybe the 2nd coming of Tony Mandarich? I believe it was Dakota who posted a picture of him in his Underarmour and said "Tell me this guy isn't on PED's."

Raiders4eve Says:
Chargers wasted most of their picks when they traded up in the first round for a running back.

I think Mathews will be a solid RB for the chargers. The Sproles/Mathews tandem could be very elusive.

Veldheer

http://www.raidernationstation.com/draftermath

"On the limited game tape that is available of him, Veldheer looks awfully impressive really exploding into defenders and using leverage to his advantage. At 6’8”, 312lbs. he has the physique of an NFL starting tackle and the athleticism of a tight end. His fluidity of movement is effortless and he really has no difficulty staying between defenders and his quarterback on the edge."

Lamarr Houston, 2009 Season

ll-Big Twelve Conference first-team selection by The NFL Draft Report and the San Antonio Express-News, adding second-team honors from the league’s coaches, Dallas Morning News, Fort Worth Star-Telegram and Associated Press…Was named the team’s Most Productive Performer in five contests…Member of UT’s Athletic Director’s Honor Roll…Added Academic All-Big Twelve honors…Bulked up to 300 pounds during the off-season, pacing a squad that led the nation in rush defense (72.36 ypg), ranked third in total defense (251.93 ypg) and second in sacks generated (3.14 pg)…Recorded 60 tackles (40 solos) with seven sacks for minus 49 yards, 17.0 stops for losses of 69 yards (tied for sixth in the league) and 10 pressures…Deflected four passes and had two fumble recoveries…On 60 running plays directed at him, Houston held those ball carriers to 24 yards (0.40 ypc), two first downs and no touchdowns, as he killed eight scoring drives with one fourth-down and seven third-down stops…In addition to his seventeen tackles for loss, he stopped runners at the line of scrimmage for no gain ten times…Made six of his stops inside the red zone, including two on goal-line stands.

------------------

That's especially impressive when you consider Suh and McCoy were in the conference.

I didn't look at Houston that closely but I saw some Texas games this year and was always impressed by the dominance of its d-line and front 7 -- of which Houston was a major part.

Looking ahead at Veldheer. he is suppose to be a 1-2 year project for LEFT TACKLE. Think about that. LT is the #1 spot. He could play RT or RG as he develops. Most RGs in this league aren't good enough to ever go to LT. When KC took Asomoah it was bad news but mr V only has to be decent as a rookie to be an upgrade over Carlisle. He's a good pick.

MLB, DT, OL down

Center, G-T, PR/KR, QB, FB to go.

He said before the draft they wanted people who contribute right away.

Tonight He also said "it is about high charector guys, chipping away at the past seven years and doing a good job of it."

Thats why DHB went before the diva last year.
