    your right 4eva, no question….

Great Draft Mr.Davis, now will you please cut JaMarcus Russell and sign both Alan Faneca and Flozell Adams please??!!!

  • Thankx E!

if the Raiders cannot develop talent, how do you explain guys like nmandi, miller,or branch ???? fuk you dumbasses.

The Raiders play a role in the nuclear explosion that was JaDavis.

The environment where a QB can come into camp overweight, not know the playbook, misses passes, struggle for weeks AND STILL BE GIVEN THE STARTING JOB….is the owners fault for not deferring to the coaches

Not getting JaDavis in camp on time and basically throwing away the 1st year is the owners fault

2 head coaches, 3 or 4 OCs, 2 QB coaches and a sketchy offensive line is the front office

And throwing a bunch of rookie receivers, that were EXTREMELY raw is the front office as well.

Not to take anything away from the total indifference of JaDavis and his slothfullness.

Quite simply, Al Davis was one of the worst drafters of the last few years! Fortunately he redeemed himself the last couple of days.

  • Raider E

we just have had some bad luck, and DHB is gonna be the new James Jett. I personally loved thst dude.

  • Try Some Reality

Good point 4eva. Not entirely on the team. I don’t think anybody could put any less effort into their trade than Russell did. You have to try hard to be that lazy, aloof, and unprepared. He’s an embarrassment both to himself and to his family. What kind of values did they teach (or not teach) this kid? I hear all the young guy with money thing but come on. When we get a rookie cap, they should name it the Russell Cap. No, seriously, they should.

  • This is from Yahoo sports, Raiders 3rd best draft:

Oakland Raiders: And we’re not even grading on a curve! Giving up Kirk Morrison(notes) for a Ziploc bag and a couple of Kit Kat bars was a bad move, but it was totally mitigated by getting Jason Campbell(notes) for a fourth-round pick … in 2012! And instead of grabbing athletic freaks with limited football skills, Oakland addressed needs in their interior run defense, and took the projects later on. This is the kind of draft that could make the Raiders an upset special, if not a competitive team, in the short term. All we want to know is, who locked Al Davis in a closet?

  • Try Some Reality

Wow, compliments from the Yahoos at Yahoo. That’s a first.

I know you didnt address me, but evryone was high on Russell. Probably even you, I know I was stoked, me and my celly were lol….

round QB in the next 2 years. Look out for Ryan Mallet
    coming out next year.
Nope! J. Campbell is a long-term solution QB.

    Mark my words.

We won’t be thinking QB for another 8 to 10 years

    Screw JaDavis

  • SnB offense defense specialteams

JaDavis was slothful, indifferent, lazy, skipped meetings, didn’t master the playbook, and a whole host of sins.

Forget that garbage. Its one thing if a guy just struggles on the field but tries…this jackazz just sat around…and enjoyed the money.

Al should cut him with immediate effect.

We have a long-term QB in Jason Campbell.

    I believe it!

Some interesting guys the Raiders could bring in for camp on offense:
    LeGarrette Blount, RB Oregon
    Seyi Ajirotutu, WR Fresno State
    Danario Alexander, WR Missouri
    Verran Tucker, WR California
    Stephen Williams, WR Toledo
    Brandon Carter, OG Texas Tech
    Mike Tepper, OT California
    Jeff Byers, C Southern Cal
    Alex Parsons, OG Southern Cal

They seem to be set on defense. It will be interesting to see what Cable referring to regarding changes on the DL.

Bruce Campbell tore that pectoral muscle…and everyone realized, damn, this kid is an injury risk.

    Let’s get us a QB!

  • Raider E

Did you like the pick at the time? be truthful….

  • SnB offense defense specialteams

Campbell is a nice pick in the 4th

  • Try Some Reality

Snb – All highly ranked QBs – as Russell was, even by some of the experts – tend to go to bad teams. Very rare that you go to an ideal situation. With that said, Russell was a complete joke. No leadership, terrible work ethic, no responsibility. Clearly outplayed by journeymen Gradkowski and Frye.

  • fat kidd

j russell headed to WWF looking for stage name?

  • Raider E

I love the fact that we got the Cambells in Round 4. We will win a playoff game this coming season. archive that little ricky 🙂

Exactly. They were scared sh1tless at the thought of playing Russell again.

  • Well SnB….

if you just spent 60 mil on a new toy,a toy that all the experts said was one of the best things sinse sliced bread, the sky is the limit….wouldnt you wanna give it just a little more time if it wasnt working correctly?

And while we’re at it….everyone goes through rough periods in anything they set out 2 do.Big Al missed a little for the last few years but as I said B4

out of 50 years in the nfl….Big Al has kicked the shizzzitt out of everybody 8)

    Jameatloaf’s next career choices:

Open a bait shop in Mobile, Alabama

    Field sales rep for Robitussin

Greeter at Wal-Mart (swing shift only)

Buy a Burger King franchise, set up a “lunch with Jamarcus” table in the back for customers to take a photo with the biggest bust in NFL history. (And by biggest bust I mean man-boobage as well.)

  • SnB offense defense specialteams

Jerry Jones on the phone with Dez Bryant:

Dez, we “fixin” to turn this card in and draft you

  • They threw out “blackballed” on Jamarcus.

When Jamarcus gets released, you will see the difference in Cable. Within two weeks he might look 5 years younger.

  • SnB offense defense specialteams

I give Al Davis a tremendous amount of credit for realizing the mistake that was and correcting it.

That is the definition of true leadership.

A true leader also listens to counsel…..clearly he was listening to “somebody” the last couple of days…

  • djohnnyg

Will Russell even have a chance to compete for the job? I wanted to give him 3 games as a final shot. I didn’t even care if we lost all 3, just a final chance to see if Russell would “bring it” when he knows his whole career is at stake.

I can’t help but think that if he goes to New England or something, he’d listen to Belichek, lose weight, study, etc. etc. and then become the greatest QB ever. This is my nightmare.

  • Russell’s WWF name: King Bling

  • SnB offense defense specialteams

I saw that too. Said that JaDavis got coaches fired and his laziness is well known.

Go on back to Mobile, Alabama and try to be a good role model to the kids down there and make something of your life then rolling craps in Las Vegas

  • He read this board SnB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    it was us lol

Jerry most likely says it too. LOL!

  • Gerard Warren signed by the Pats, lol

  • djohnnyg

We’ll probably find out Al died two weeks ago and they wanted to keep it a secret until after the draft.

As far as players saying they talked with “Mr. Davis” it was actually an Al Davis impersonator.

  • RaiderRon

I for one am SHOCKED!!! I mean its just stunning for Raiderfan to be lauding a Raider draft and throwing the word playoffs out there like its not insane. LOL! Gotta love Raiderfan.

They signed Terdell Sands, traded for Doug Gabriel, Randy Moss and Derrick Burgess…..

Gerard Warren might actually help them as a part time 5-tech. He is a penetrator that takes plays off….plus they won’t be paying him $5M

  • Mistabr0wn

    Exactly right!
He has slightly better weapons in Oakland than he did In Washington and they are young and will get better.

Addition by subtraction! We have a good backup in B Grad.

Why a FB wasnt drafted I have no idea but you will see a undrafted FB signed in the next couple days.

Jason Campbell is the type of QB that can succeed here. A heady veteran that is looking for AND DESERVES a 2nd chance.

    This is the Raider way.

  • Djohnnyg….dont worry Bro,that could never happen….

1st #2 would have to learn how to throw a touch pass

2nd he would have 2 study AND learn a play-book

3rd he would have to exercise

4th he would have to care

Cheer up Djohnng,it was only a nightmare

  • djohnnyg

Al Davis faked his own death and is currently on a remote island sipping margarita’s with Hitler and Jim Morrison.

  • Mistabr0wn

I hope you cry yourself to sleep tonight. Russell is a GONNER!

    The end.

  • kseven

How many more games would we have won the last few years if we’d had anything close to a competent QB? Jason Campbell is more than enough to get us to the playoffs.

Seymour and the other vets must be thrilled with this turn of events. At least on paper the Raider should have a formidable defense, and the offense is vastly improved by Russell’s departure.

  • turner42

Too many haters, and too many ignorants posting here; Kafka, Flozell “trip” Adams, are you people serious? This was a great draft class, Campbell is a great pick up, if you can’t be optimistic about the team now, you’ll never be, put down the crack pipes and go root for another team.

  • SnB offense defense specialteams

Its strange. The pundits are loving the Raiders day today….as they should.

The tide is turning around here.

You will see a spirited camp and start to see and hear the right things without the “North Korea like Media Spin”

Tom Cable’s best role is not X’s and O’s….its managing Al Davis and setting the culture in the lockerroom.

If Cable, and Al Davis, leave the X’s and O’s to Marshall and Jackson…and whoever the Special…ooops there’s a gap…anyway, if Cable and DAvis leave the X’s and O’s to Marshall and Jackson, this team is playoff contenders THIS YEAR

  • Man that just sounds soo complete and final Mista!!!!

    A few observations:

    1. How long before Jerry changes the avatar for this
page since Morrison was traded to the Jags?

    2. I wish we had drafted a center. I really was not
impressed with Satele last year. Whatever happened
to Otto, Dalby, Mosebar, Robbins, ????

    3. Check out McFadden’s date of birth with Spiller’s
date of birth. They were born in the same year and
not far apart. So we have a HB with two years
experience while the Bills are getting this “great
back” who only has college experience. So don’t
give up on D-Mac yet. I also wonder who started
    the trade D-Mac rumors.
