Jeremy Ware, a cornerback from Michigan State, is the Raiders seventh-round draft pick, No. 215 overall.
Ware is a 5-foot-10, 180-pound cornerback who was honorable mention All-Big Ten.

Yes, I can, as a matter of fact. Those players weren’t that good. Just because Al throws a bunch of money at a lousy player means I’m supposed to believe he’s trying to win a Super Bowl? The only glimpse I’ve seen of Al Davis seriously trying to win a Super Bowl in the past 20 years is when he let Gruden bring Gannon, Rice, and Garner in. Also before the 2002 season when he went all in with the defense, R. Woodson, Romo, Sam Adams. THAT was Al trying to win a super Bowl. And that was it. Just about a 4 year span in the last 20 years. …Maybe ‘93, too. From the ‘94 to the Gruden era, and from the Super Bowl loss to today? Nada. Just nothing. I do not believe Al Davis is trying go win a Super Bowl.

Cable has been SO CONSISTENT in trying to tell all of us he wants strong character guys. Blount is not going to be one of those guys.

Incredible draft by the Silver and Black. Shored the run D with a stud “prototype” MLB, ditched Morrison, added Houston on the D line added depth and promising projects on the O line, snagged a Qb to challenge (or simply start) added a speedy return man and proved all the H/W/S analysts wrong.

Like I said, all the hub-bub over the 3rd string QB was ridiculous. Same coach and owner that had him 3rd string are STILL here.

I have to say that Vegas makes a good point about Jason Campbell.

Campbell was forced to play in a system that wasn’t suited for him last year-a WCO.As someone pointed out-Bob Marley I believe-he is a pocket passer with some mobility.Our system is much more suited to his skills.Plus,he works.Pretty novel idea for your starting QB.

Hope that’s true about Campbell, and I hope we lose all facets of the WCO we had last year. Paul Hackett and Cable are WCO guys, and they tried to mix in those principals with Tollners vertical game. Personally, I thought it was a MESS.
I’ll be perfectly happy with a run first, run second, run third team with Jason Campbell at the helm. Mix in some play action, sreens to the RBs, and just shorter overall routes. And PUH-LEEZE give me some misdirection plays and a reverse or 2 to DHB!

campbell can be our starter for 2-3 years. he’s decent, maybe better, hard to tell from washington. he’s a huge upgrade obvioulsy. AD has missed in the first round for years, but after that round he hasn’t missed much. clearly he hit it this time. i think marshall had a LOT of input on our first 2 picks. must be,
