Cable: Raiders, Seymour working on deal

Coach Tom Cable said at the conclusion of his press briefing the club is working on a longterm deal with defensive end Richard Seymour.

Seymour wasn’t at the minicamp practice, having not signed his exclusive franchise tag.

More to come . . .

Hey Jerry. Did Russell “lay in” any touch passes like you tweeted about another QB. His lack of touch has been an on-going problem. “Throwing lazers” doesn’t equate to accurate over-the-shoulder passes.

The raider players dont have the morale to beging another losing season, losing from day one.

They dont got the cojones to comeback from a 2-5 start with J Rusell.

    Think about it.

If Russell gives us a better chance of winning than Cambpell does out of camp, do you want Campbell starting to allow him to learn the offense?

Have you been watching this team the last SEVEN years??? When the hell did “they” EVER have the cojones to come back from a 2-5 start?? LMFAO!

  • Coach on Wheels

Campbell will know the offense out of camp. NFL QBs who work hard are used to learning an offense in camp.

thats what we’re still hearing from JaBlubber lovers and this is his 4th season with the club.

    ——————————————————

I missed the updates about him still learning the playbook and his WRs this, his 4th, year in the league.

    Any links ???

    Exactly!

How about just letting the best QB on the field play?

    WHOEVER that is?

Will our #1 and #2 qb’s out of camp both be black, former 1st round picks that haven’t lived up to expectations, in the land of 2nd chancers?

Seymour the KC game was a perfect example of people who don’t know football getting excited over nothing.

All game JR failed to run a NFL offense against a NFL defense.
At the end the Raiders run their version of LSU’s shotgun spread offense against a prevent defense. Russell ran the Spread he knows against the stupidist defense in the NFL. Wow he’s brilliant.

    =========================

This is valid but Russell’s led many 4th quarter comebacks in college as well.

  • Nnamdi21

After all this time and hate, I still got Russell’s back.

  • Coach on Wheels

jhill – The problem is “best QB” is graded on a curve with salary, draft position and al’s ego mixed in. In 2008 Super Bowl QB Kerry Collins led the Titans to a 13-3 record. In 2009 he got benched faster than never-did-anything Russell.
How many seasons have we wasted on Jeff George, Jay Schreoder and other cannon arm QBs?
Russell can’t lead, period. This isn’t a video game. Guys won’t play for him.

If Im the raider defense, no way im feeling good thinking J Rusell is competing for the QB job…

I dont hate J Rusell, its just that he aint the prototype NFL QB…
