As for the jerseys, as far as I know, QBs wear red jerseys in practice at every level of play above high school. It’s used universally for all teams, that way no one gets confused when they’re on a new team and forgets which color means stop. Red means stop. Offensive players (other than QB) will wear either the home or away colors, while the defense wears the opposite. Red is QB color for practices, though… I’ve never heard, seen, or been on a team that didn’t follow that rule.

Actually was reading it this morning in the paper about coach yelling at players “BLACK MEANS DO NOT TOUCH”..which in this case was D line coach yelling at a Niner player.
