Raiders take week off from OTAs

By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010 at 8:33 am in Oakland Raiders.

No organized team activities this week for the Raiders. They go Tuesday through Thursday next week and the week after, with limited media availability each Wednesday.

In the mean time, columnist Gary Peterson, the man who made “lethargy addiction” are reportable medical condition, has this take on the grievance procedure between Al Davis and JaMarcus Russell.

Wonder how the season ticket sales are going?
Was driving up 880 on Saturday, and didn’t see any billboards pushing for ticket sales.
Not a big tv watcher that’s not on DVR..anyone see any Raider commercials?

    Just saw that…

    Geez…
First I school him on the Niners, so his reply for every slam was “you’re a Niner fan. Go away” which, in his diminutive mind means he believes the comment erases his embarrassment for not backing his words…

And now, after repeated exposing his cross postings, with all his past/current handles?
    Replies: “You’re a cross poster”??

I don’t think Oakdork understands how this works, lol.

When you’re 5, and someone calls you a brat, sure..you call him one back..but at some point replying BACK with what someone said to you pretty much indicates weakness and white flag waving.

Well…I’m not going to be the one to tell him

I’ll string him along a bit

    ==================

Funny thing is he sees NOTHING WRONG WITH GETTING IT ON WITH HIS COUSIN.

That’s whack…from Jeffy in a little tight culotte, to lusting at Thanksgiving over numerous cousins?

    Dude has issues..big time.

  • DMAC

My main concern right now is the RG position, not our DT’s. W/ Bruce struggling and Carlisle as our other option, it’s pretty scary. Who else could fill in??
    Barnes?
    Loper?
    ????

  • DMAC

Raiders signed CB Joe Porter, formerly of the Browns.

Porter ran a 4.28 (Raider speed) at Rutgers’ 2007 Pro Day, but he’ll be a major long shot for a roster spot. He’s behind Nnamdi Asomugha, Chris Johnson, Stanford Routt, and promising rookie Walter McFadden on the depth chart.

can you imagine Aunt Sue leaning over him to scoop some mashed potatoes and seeing him staring at her cleavage?

or his cousin Sally swimming frantically trying to get out of the pool when she notices him yanking it watching her do hand stands underwater?

    what a creep. haha

cousin Sabrina has already vowed never to play Twister with him again!

  • RaiderRockstar

DMAC: Campbell is NOT ready and Carlisle sucks

so unless Barnes or Loper step up and seize the job, we’re in trouble.

I seriously doubt Rodd or Parsons are even considered “competition”

I don’t see anything wrong with having Langston Walker man the RG job if Jared Veldheer can handle the RT job this season. I think Mario Henderson will be much improved this season (for some reason)

Campbell “struggling” at RG is a stretch. Just because it hasn’t been easy doesn’t mean he won’t be ready some training camp. Not to hard to block someone. Not like he has to learn routes.

The ability to handle team’s Nost Tackle will allow the running game to have legit shots at being consistent

    YEAH TELL EM ZACH!

Q: It appears to an observer that the offense feels like you guys are more on the same page. More snappier, less thinking, more reacting.

Miller: I would say, definitely. We have an up-tempo offense, and out here, as you see, how we are [practicing] rapid-fire type plays. You know, we’re having some success in OTAs.

Q: Under Hue Jackson, new offensive coordinator, what difference has that made?

Miller: You know, he is just bringing a whole different attitude. He is all about being aggressive as an offense, and making sure we score points, make big plays. He knows we have the talent, we just have to be able to put it together.

Q: What is the balance between the talent you have, the X’s and O’s, and then attitude?

Miller: It’s a fine mix. You have got to have all three, and you have to got have them all in the right proportion. We are working on all three, and just working on executing, and being an explosive offense. As you can see out here, I think we are really coming together.

Q: It appears as that QB Jason Campbell has really come up to speed pretty quickly.

Miller: Oh yeah, Jason’s been learning quickly. He is picking up more and more every day. You can see that, between this week and the previous weeks. We’ve got to keep improving. Keep having fun out there, because practice has been fun.
