No joint Raiders-49ers practices

By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Monday, June 7th, 2010 at 1:30 pm in Oakland Raiders.

Forty-Niners coach Mike Singletary told the media at the 49ers organized team activity session Monday there will be no joint practices with the Raiders.

“I just think that this year, we’ll stay among ourselves,” Singletary said, according to the Twitter account of Santa Rosa Press-Democrat beat writer Phil Barber.

A rumored joint practice set-up with the Dallas was rejected by Dallas last week.

Last season’s 49ers-Raiders practices were forgettable ones for the Raiders.

The most significant thing was the loss of wide receiver Chaz Schilens, who broke the fifth metatarsal on his left foot, missed the first half of the season and had a second surgery in the offseason. Schilens isn’t expected to take the field until training camp.

There was also a practice session during which the Raiders offense was brutalized by the 49ers defense, exposing the Oakland passing game and JaMarcus Russell with an embarrassing string of sacks and turnovers.

I don’t understand how men & women working for wages, could vote against Organized Labor, because Limbaugh’s Corp buddy’s say so.

Organized labor is an outdated concept

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama says his talks with Gulf fishermen and oil spill experts are not an academic exercise. They’re “so I know whose a$$ to kick.”

One target for the presidential foot: Tony Hayward, the embattled chief executive of BP.

Obama was asked by Matt Lauer of NBC’s “Today” about Hayward’s past comments that “I want my life back,” that the Gulf was “a big ocean” and that “the environmental impact of this disaster is likely to be very, very modest.”

“He wouldn’t be working for me after any of those statements,” Obama said, according to excerpts released by NBC.

Undrafted free agent wide receiver Damola Adeniji signed with the Oakland Raiders on Tuesday.

Adeniji was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers three weeks ago after signing a free-agent deal after the NFL draft.

Adeniji, 6-foot-3 and 213 pounds, played for Oregon State. He caught 57 passes for 807 yards and five touchdowns in 2009 for the Beavers, including eight for 106 and one touchdown against Brigham Young in the Maaco Bowl Las Vegas.

Organized labor needs a solid industry to latch on to, and since Well Street decimated that, unions are now obsolete, too. No point in being a member when there’s no work. Wall Street’s approach to labor unions was basically like a doctor curing someone’s disease by shooting them in the head.

Ha ha. Like lockstep. Look at the republicans come in with those poll numbers. Did you guys all get them from the same site? Let me guess, you just woke up this morning and wondered what the polls were on Obama’s approval? Or…was it the top story on your right wing propaganda sites?

Yeh, and that republican congress did wonders with the economy after Clinton left office. The bottom line is that Clinton was builder who believed in an expanding middle class and knew how to get it done. He prioritized that over Wall Street, and the results showed in his second term. The same will happen in Obama’s second term, as much as economic prosperity for ALL Americans makes you cringe, MB.

MB, Wall Street would have replaced all of those jobs anyway and you would have championed the “effeciency”. But because their lost due to a catastrophe that happened to have occurred when Obama was president, you pretend to care. That’s the thing with conservatives. The only time there’s compassion is where there’s a political adversary to take down. It’s just like when cops pretend to care about an innocent bystander shot in the hood, when they’re arguing for more funding in his name. Before he got shot, all they did was pull him over and throw him on the pavement.

A line from Mike Savage. Have you ever, ever expressed a political thought of your own, MB? Every single thing you’ve ever said is either a foxnews headline or a title of a book written by a right winger. I don’t think you’ve ever expressed an original thought in your life.

I hope the officials let these two teams play tonight. Game 2 was marred by a constant parade to the free throw line. I’m not blaming the refs for the lakers loss. They went to the line soooo many times. But Kobe was forced to sit during a lot of the 4th because of some really ticky tack calls. Let ‘em play.

    RMR,
It’s going to kill me, but this is the 2nd time I’m going to agree with you today. About right wing propoganda, that is. They have Fox News on in the breakroom where I work. All day long, that is one of the lead stories. Obama’s falling poll numbers. Morning break, Lunch, afternoon break. Blah, Blah Blah. Obama’s approval rating hits a new low @ 45%.

Funny, but I don’t remember that being the lead every hour when W.’s ratings were at a Nixon-like 24%. Hell no. Then it was all images of soaring eagles and tanks rumbling through the desert.
    Fair and balanced my ass.

  • buckeyeraider

What a play by Kobe. Great hustle.

Van Gundy’s comments about Kobe a few minutes ago, about a teams best player and true leader not being the most liked by his teammates. Because they bristle and push their temmates, made me think of Rich Gannon. Him hiding the billiard balls when he first arrived in Oakland.

Buckeye, I think it has to do with the fact that a Judge has ruled that a college has to release the transcrips of a person who happens to be the president of this country, applying as a resident of Jakara, Indo. in 1981, and applied for no resident relief. Upon getting here, with no money in his pockets, within one month, had paid round the world tickets back to Indo. There is a lot that is about to come out on all networks, let them explain why they have let this do on so long! 1.6 TRILLION DOLLARS LATER! Yep in one year!
