Raiders sign WR

Beat writer Steve Corkran filed the following brief for Wednesday’s papers: Undrafted free agent wide receiver Damola Adeniji signed with the Raiders on Tuesday.
Adeniji, 6-foot-3 and 213 pounds, played for Oregon State. He caught 57 passes for 807 yards and five touchdowns in 2009 for the Beavers, including eight for 106 and one touchdown against Brigham Young in the Maaco Bowl Las Vegas.

We’ll get a look at Adeniji during Wednesday’s open practice at the club’s organized team activity.

While taking a routine vandalism report at an elementary school, I was interrupted by a little girl about 6 years old. Looking up and down at my uniform, she asked, ‘Are you a cop? Yes,’ I answered and continued writing the report. My mother said if I ever needed help I should ask the police. Is that right?’ ‘Yes, that’s right,’ I told her. ‘Well, then,’ she said as she extended her foot toward me, ‘would you please tie my shoe?’

It was the end of the day when I parked my police van in front of the station. As I gathered my equipment, my K-9 partner, Jake, was barking, and I saw a little boy staring in at me. ‘Is that a dog you got back there?’ he asked. ‘It sure is,’ I replied. Puzzled, the boy looked at me and then towards the back of the van. Finally he said, ‘What’d he do?’

    Good Morning.

Our WRs are young, and they don’t have much exp.
    Our OL is not great.
Our QB is learning a new system.

Should we worry about our passing game?
    No… We have Action Jackson!!

Jhill: I thought Kobe Bryant was only held under 30 points because of foul trouble and lack of minutes on the floor in Game 2?

Game 3 he was on the court the most of ANY PLAYER (44 minutes) and went 10/29 and 1/7 from 3 point land. 29 points (held under 30 – again)

he was contained for the 2nd game in a row.

    ——————————————————-

Did you really write a post about Kobe being held under 30 when the guy got 29? 1 point?!?!?!?!?!

Cmon man! Are you that desperate for a win, lol!

Kobe needs to shoot better damn it!

  • jhill

    Kobe who ???

    ——————————————————

I will say that I was saying during the game that Kobe is going to shoot us out of it again in the 4th qtr. Trying to be THE reason the Lakers win the title is just what the Lakers are looking for. Defering to Pau and Fisher in the 4th qtr was HUGE!

Stop trying to be better than Michael, stop trying to be the greatest Laker ever, and stop trying to be finals MVP!

  • jhill

is just what the Lakers are looking for.

    —————————————————–

what the Celtics are looking for.

  • jhill

For all the talk of Boston’s defense, it was the Lakers defense that won that game for them. I keep saying that 100 pts is the number the Celtics are going to have to get to to win games. To hold the Lakers to 91 pts and still lose is a credit to the Lakers D.

  • CJ Legend 34

    Sweet!!!!

We don’t need TO now, I think we found our possession WR that we needed so badly. I think we got the next Marques Colston.

This team is starting to look more and more like the Saints every single day!!!!!

  • jhill

No more of Nick Miller the DB Killer?

I guess some of those Wes Welker comments thrown around in here were just a tad premature.

    ——————————————————-

    Hold on now ….

Where does it say that he was released?

  • RaiderRockstar

I think we got the next Marques Colston.

    JHill, Dakota…
I think game 4 is going to be huge…Kobe really ahsn’t been a factor this series. Artest, Fish in games 1, 3 respectively. Who’s it going to be in game 4? Gasol, Bynum and odom are doing what they need to do…Kobe has to be Kobe, but not be superstar!

  • RaiderRon

Trying to tell the best player in the NBA how to play in the Finals is a SURE sign of intelligence. I mean its not like Kobe has ever won a title or anything…….LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    A short spelling lesson:

The last four letters in “American” = I Can
The last four letters in “Republican” = I Can
The last four letters in “Democrats”= Rats

RR – Adeniji of course, LOL!!! : )

To win this series the Lakers need to win another game in Boston. For whatever reason Boston plays better on the road this playoff…

  • RaiderRon

Kobe hasnt been a factor??? The stupididty on this site never ceases to amaze.

  • hwnrdr

    Ummm…Ron, he really hasn’t!

  • hwnrdr

…and I said he really hasn’t. Its not like the 2 victories were because of Kobe…

Sounds like Bynum is pussing out of game 4. I can’t wait to trade him for Bosh or Lebron this offseason.

  • RaiderRon

HES AVG 27 PTS A GAME!!!! WTF are you talking about? Not to mention the fact that hes playing great defense and facilitating. In the 2 victories he had 30 and 29 respectively. Unreal…..

  • hwnrdr

He might…Haha…I heard that rumor a while back…Lebron to LA? Game over!

—”Beat writer Danny O’Neil speculates that free agent FB Justin Griffith won’t be back with the Seahawks. Leon Washington is wearing Griffith’s No. 33 jersey, a sign that the Seahakws have moved on. We haven’t heard about Griffith getting any nibbles on the open market as he Enters his age-30 season”—

we should give hima look, he must be better than any of the Fb’s we have..

  • hwnrdr

WOW…defensive people these days. LOL…Other people stepped up. Funny how some critisize on an internet blog…never was here to pick arguments with anyone, Ron! You have your points, and evryone else has theirs…Never once did I call anyone stupid for their opinions whether right or wrong!

    LMN,

I certainly like Griffith better than Lawton, but I would like to see an actual blocking FB instead. Griffith is more of a finesse pass catching FB. Get me another ONeal or Ritchie please!!!!

  • RaiderRon

I called you stupid, dont care what you call me. You made a completely rediculous comment and to make such a comment means you must be stupid. If Kobe wasnt playing in this series the Celtics would be up 3-0. Period.

  • RaiderRon

The position of FB is sooooooo far down the list of needs on this club its almost comical to talk about.

  • hwnrdr

    OK…whatevers…squash! Its just my opinion…
And I agree with you…FB position is of less of a need for the Raiders!

  • RaiderRon

FB is lower than punter and kicker in the list of important positions on every team in the NFL.

    +++++++++

Hmmm, really? You don’t believe having a good blocking FB is an important element to our run game? If so, then is our run game not important?

The Tecmo Bowl idea of running McFadden and Bush out there at the same time is a joke. That might work if we had a dominating o-line, but our o-line is bottom of the barrel at this point. We need a blocking FB to run the ball.

  • jhill

We need to run the single back set with Bush and 2 TE’s.

Bush and McFadden in the backfield together = McFadden motioning to the slot.

  • http://media-2.web.britannica.com/eb-media/63/60563-004-52A399D4.jpg Dakota

The only chance this team has to succeed is by running the damned football and taking pressure off of the QB, weak ass WRs and the porous run D.

  • jhill

Now if we somehow has a bruising FB on the team, yeah let’s run more I formation stuff. But I don’t see a FB on the market who warrants being on the field for us.

Go 3 WRs or 2 TE’s instead with a single back.

  • RaiderRon

Any bum off the street can come in and play FB. When was the last time a FB was drafted in the first or second round for that matter? That fact alone tells you the importance of the position.

  • RaiderRockstar

Jon Ritchie was a 3rd rounder

shut up Ron. if you actually laughed out loud every time you typed “LOL” people would think you were a mental patient

in fact, they might anyways …

    true…

some of all the tweeners we have drafted through the years such as Darnell Bing and Eric Frampton, we should have converted them to a nasty blocking FB’s…

that would be much better than Al davis annual project of making an LB a safety..

  • M Lonetree

    Hwnrdr,

Lebron to LA? The rumor has legs but it is with the Clips not the Lake-boys.

    Lebron/Bosh
    Lebron/Wade
