Bruce needs to be accurate if he ever envisions himself a full-time starter.

This is true. But the book should never be closed on any 27 year-old QB. There is still time to improve and hopefully he did so this offseason and upcoming training camp.

Same goes with Jason. His accuracy is good enough, game management is not. This can also improve this year, as the book shouldn’t be closed on him either.

QB’s are not RB’s, they gradually get better and peak at around the 28-33 range. RB’s are already used up by about that time.

Bruce Gradkowski might have 2 out of 3, but that first one (accuracy) is a biggie!

I’m not ready to call journeyman Bruce an accurate QB when his stats don’t enforce it

Chad Pennington has been pretty darn impressive (when healthy) throughout his career

this guy probably has the weakest arm in the league, but makes up for it with smarts & accuracy

That’s what a QB needs. They can be 6 foot with a weak arm, and still win the Super Bowl (as we just learned).

Glad everyone is excited to have a QB that has the ability to check down, because that is one of the main negatives on JC’s game, he checks down way too much.

Although a check-down on 3rd and 8 is much better than a sack or an overthrown turnover.

the arm strength argument is WAY overblown. you just have to have a guy that fits your system …

did anybody see Kyle Orton throwing for 3800 yards & 21 TD’s last year ???
