Getting ready to leave for Napa and the Raiders’ first practice of training camp.

This morning at 8:30 a.m. will mark the first of eight “learning-intensive” or walk-through practices, although coach Tom Cable did refer to a little more action during drills.

For updates from the penalty box (the 20-yard rectangle on the far side of each field where the media must stay as of last year), check this link to my Twitter page.

The first player interview session, which ostensibly will include recently anointed starting quarterback Jason Campbell and newly-signed first-round pick Rolando McClain, take place following the first practice. There is a second practice at 4:20 p.m.

JLH <——- Needs to man up or leave the game… Acts like a sissy…

  • mistic1

Mclain is a leader! When was the last time we had a real leader as talented as this kid at mlb!!! The bay area will now be the center of the mlb universe, with willis ( as much as i hate those chumps across the bay), and Mcpain!!!!

  • mistic1

Jlh is finished, ford is a major upgrade.

Trust me Rockstar, you know it’s all love on here, and I usually enjoy reading posts from fellas such as yourself who really do watch our squad inside out. But I wouldn’t be saying this just to be saying it, ’cause I watch a lot of ACC football (regrettably). Jacoby Ford is a solid pickup for our team, whether it’s WR or KOR/PR.

  • BsJ here’s my post again (since you are reading (impaired)calling for no politics until Jan 2011. Either you chose not to understand it or you are as dumb as you appear.

Nnamdi, now that camp has started can we resume jarmarcus b0bama discussions in Jan 11 ?

Tom Cable give rambling address to media with a suspicious purple drank moustache on his upper lip.

And being a Louisville native, I unfortunately watch too much Big East football as well, and I’ve been waiting a long time for Bush to show us what he’s really got. Outside of Rondo, Bush is probably the best all around athlete to come from the Ville since Ali! Bring it to ’em Mike! Let’s Go!!!

  • If Al lets Marshall do as he see’s fit I agree. If AL has his mits on things expect the Def to be ranked in the 30’s again.

i havnt been this excited about our d-line since we drafted the howie long days! think of it Seymour and houston can flip flop all game long. then you can line up seymour at rde, and bring bing hendu in the game. The o-line will never know what is coming at them, not to mention scott dropping down for the occasional elephant look! This is nuts!!!!

Raiders have parted ways with longtime sponsor Gatorade and it appears coolers are now full of a mysterious new purple drank.

It is tantamount to this team that the “other forces” be allowed to continue the work “they” have started…

I havent been able to post as much now that I have actual work to do. I still enjoy reading the comments.

Thec: i’m not worried, neither is he

Ford is a return man, nothing more. nothing less

I guess you missed that Ford was on the field with Campbell while JLH was on the field with Frye.

I know this is off topic, but, am I the only one who thinks Mayweather is a biggity b!tch?

  • J Wiggle

everybody (including myself) has said that Seymour will play all over the line and exploit mismatches. most of the time he’ll be inside on 3rd downs for pressure up the gut

Some of us have been saying that the majority of Seymour’s snaps should come from the DT spot.

3rd down DT? Doesn’t appear to be that way.

J-just wait. After a few practices there will be enough conclusions(speculation) to fill this board many times over.

Floyd Jr. would tap your lights out and Brandon would beat you with his helmet…

Mista trying to goad people. Seriously, c’mon man.

Whats this joker gonna do? Become a Detroit faN?

    Can’t handle things going well.

Needs everyone to feel as ****ty as he does.

Thats YOUR choice on how you see the world my brutha…

    McClain’s in camp.

Raiders complete and ready to get it awn baby!

Its a good day to be a Raider….

  • Nnamdi I’m saying lets put aside politics until Jan 2011 and you & BsJ are not having any of it?

Ok, you and BsJ talk politics. You are exactly the “mopes” I said you were. I’m on record for trying to keep this 100% Raiders you are on record just the opposite.

  • J Wiggle

No doubt about that Lefty …

Look what we have after one “walk through”, lol.

  • What time is second practice starting?

To Lefty’s point, It really does seem like we have a coach that “is working well with the owner”. I think the day to day medling by Al is over. Probably more from medical reasons than anything. But Cable’s “methods” with the owner will allow the coordinators to do their thing.

We already hear how Marshall is putting his stamp on the offense.

Cable is talking about how there are new things on defense on top of what we had last year. 5 new guys on the front 7? Yeah, I think Marshall had something to do with that.

  • Nnamdi21

Sorry Mista. Sounds like a good plan. Enjoy the day and Go Raiders!~

  • Nnamdi21

F’in excited about the Raiders baby!

I’m sure the guys are wanting to put on the pads on clobber someone but I hope the walk thrus keep the injuries down and the focus high…

    Lets go Raiders!

  • lefty12

What many don’t get is Cable came in and asked Davis to teach him ‘everything’,not I know everything, this is what we’ll do.This sat well with Davis.Lets hope it translates into wins and Cable sticks around for a while. It will benefit the organization.

  • M Lonetree

It has been months since Cable has been quoted as saying, “I’m geeked!”
    Now that’s progress.

  • mistic1

I actually have changed my opinion on the cable guy. He reminds me alot of flores and madden, in the way he lets al be al, but still manages to have his own input with the old man. he also has that thing that we love in raider land, his players would run through a wall for him, im sure this is another thing that davis loves about him. he sucked as a play caller, and game manager, but he may do very well as someone that motivates, and steers the ship. i also really like the way he leads, no bs get it done or your out. He got the old man to dump no. 2, and seems to have the respect of everyone. Wow Not even gruden was able to do all of these at the same time, not to mention he is doing it without a buffer! Exciting stuff.

  • bigd2010

memo nobody cares about boxing. its as fake as wwe.

  • damn…I suck…my arms are too short…don’t know how I did everything I did before…but obviously it was a fluke…cuz my arms are short…I never really knew how to play or had any talent, yet they fooled me and kept me playing!

I thought for sure that Cable would nix the patty-cake training camp idea now that Jamarcus is gone…that lazy fool needed the special ed version of training camp. The other players are professionals, treat them like it.
Dakota…what is your sports resume? ever do a training camp? ever show up for practise everyday, along with attending every class, and maybe partying when you could?
