Probably banned your ip address and not your name id. If you don’t have a dedicated ip service and connect via DCHP, turn off your modem at home for a couple of minutes and you are likely to be ok. If you are on dedicated ip service, you are screwed until they un-ban the ip address itself.

Opposite of DHCP. Your internet provider assigns you a dedicated (all the time) ip address. You usually pay more for a dedicated ip. You can ask your internet provider if you are on dedicated or DHCP.

I suspect that your home ip is still on a banned list someplace. If you can otherwise interact on the internet ok, then the problem is with the blog server.

  11. Thec07 Says:

Your DHCP lease can also be tied to the MAC address to your nic… Your ISP may even be doing this… Which would me even though you are “Leasing” an IP addy, it is still tied to your computer…

  51. priesttj Says:

    Raider O

I think DHB is going to change a lot of opinions about him in a hurry. He has rare size speed ratio. A lot of people laughed when I posted that and I don’t think many are laughing anymore. DHB has world class speed and he is the only WR with that kind of size and physicality with thjat kind of speed. Randy Moss is the other but Moss is not a physical WR. AJ is very physical but he doesn’t possess speed like DHB. He really is a rare animal. That 44 inch vertical makes him a nightmare to deal with. That’s why Nnamdi always selects him after practice because there is no one like him and DHB is getting Nnamdi best. Just think about that for a second.

  52. SnB offense defense specialteams Says:

DHB was drafted 7th overall and was the 1st receiver taken in 2009. He is supposed to improve and he is supposed to be a difference maker.

I am pleased that he is rebounding from a totally atrocious and unacceptable performance last year. Shows he has character.

But lets keep things in perspective, he was drafted to be the dominant receiver….not a role player.

  53. priesttj Says:

Duh Yeah!! anything else?? it’s just justifying the pick, we’ve already said that.

Of course the regular season too. I personally like the direction of this team, but this team is going to go through the paces this year trying to bring all of the new pieces together. That may take time.

Hope you all don’t get too frustrated if things don’t happen quite as fast you are predicting

  62. lefty12 Says:

So now everyone is on the “I told you so” wagon concerning DHB.Sorry,Priest, but last year you were blaming DHB for the bust and the offense in general being so terrible.

  63. aig-raiders Says:

thats right. Priest was blaming dhb for Jawalrus’ poor performance.

  64. priesttj Says:

    SnB

Hard work always pays off, at what point is hard to say but it will pay off. DHB has been the hardest working Raider this offseason and it’s just starting to pay dividends.

No one is saying at any point this year we’re going to resemble “the greatest show on turf”, all I’m saying is DHB’s love for the game is very evident. In most cases that is the difference between just average and greatness.

  65. SnB offense defense specialteams Says:

    Priesttj,

No dividends have been paid yet. Dividends get paid with catches, yards and wins when the games count. Not practice without pads.

He’s practicing better, that’s good. Lets see it transfer into games

  66. lefty12 Says:

    AIG-in all fairness,he wasn’t the only one.

  67. priesttj Says:

My onpinion of what I saw from DHB last year hasn’t changed he was green and so was Murphy. IN fact Murphy admitted leaving some 500 yards out on the field and he didn’t blame anyone but himself.

AIG listen man anyone with half a brain knows throwing a struggling QB together with two rookies is a recipe for disaster. Maybe you think it should’ve worked. lol

  68. SnB offense defense specialteams Says:

DHB was awful last year. Period. Regardless of the shoddy QB play.

As for the QB, JaDavis had no business being on the field at all and should have been made to earn it.

Water under the bridge now. Let’s see if this team can compete this year. That’s the goal….play hard consistently and compete in most of the games this year.

Wins and losses count in 2011

  69. Raider Dell Says:

Practice is for the players to prepare the players, for each player role in the offense or defense.

The players on offense must exhibit knowledge of their assignment and display the knowledge of that assignment. The player must show his ability to know what their role is and move towards perfection in performing that assignment.

I know its hard to believe, but one player on offense or defense, who fails or can’t fulfill that assignment will cause the particular play to breakdown and the play, can be a rushed pass, a broken block, and its not completed, so the running play is shut down. All players on defense have to perform in rhythm, to have a successful play. That’s what makes football so hard, the incredible rhythm and chemistry to complete everyones given assignment perfectly.

I’m glad DHB is showing promise, but again Campbell must read the defense accurately, blocking has to protect and DHB has to run his route in rhythm with the coordinated pass play.

The great teams peform on sundays with more chemistry and executation and have less broken plays by their players in their assignments.

The play has so many variables only the end result is a completed pass and so many others must perform their job to make DHB look good and Campbell as well.

  70. lefty12 Says:

S&B,what you are missing is by the way he is practicing and what he is showing in those practices gives others on the team more confidence and the knowledge our WR core could be a strength, not a weakness. You don’t believe the DHB of today is making Campbell feel more comfortable?

  71. Dude Says:

There have been, what 3 practices and all the sudden DHB is a strength?? Man, sometimes I think Raider fan is the stupidest fan in all of sports. The Raider WRs as a group are the worst in the NFL. Period.

  72. priesttj Says:

    Lefty12

I think DHB is giving Campbell confidence not just comfort, guy’s with that kind of talent can make a QB play better. WE can’t see practice but what I’ve been told and what I’m hearing consistently is huge concerning DHB. It’s almost shocking!!

  73. SnB offense defense specialteams Says:

    Lefty12,

Its good they are apparently practicing well. Glad to hear this as opposed to the nonsense of the past.

This team is still in OTAs until they start practicing with pads and at least playing some preseason games.

  74. priesttj Says:

It’s obvious that some in here just don’t get practice. 95% of the time players play the way they practice. Now you’re right we haven’t been in pads but that is just where they’re hitting amd taking hits. The toughst ;part for any WR is getting OPEN in the NFL. DHB got open last year he and the QB were never on the same page. Year two we have a experincd QB and a very confident DHB much different battery here.

This isn’t rocket science if he can get it done in practice there is a 90% chance he’ll do it in a game……….period

  75. RAIDERMAN99 Says:

Saw an interview of Rolando McClain by G Papa with footage of Rolando running around the practice field the day he signed with the Raids.

I was surprised at how slim he looked in a Raider uniform. Thought he looked much beefier at Bama. In fact, without the horse collar he wore at Bama his neck reminded me of Harvey Williams.

Encouraging to read twitters noting him diagnosing and intercepting swing passes. Raids have an awful lot riding on McClain’s performance this year. He’s gotta be ready from the get-go. We’re asking for alot from a rookie. I believe he’s up to the task and should be more solid than Morrison even this early in his career.

One question though, if McClain gets injured or is unable to go for whatever reason, who steps in for him ?

    Brown ? Goethel ? Wimberly ? Scott ?

I’d be interested to know what the Raider contingency plan is in the event McClain has to miss some time.

  76. lefty12 Says:

Take a reading comprehension course dude.’Could be a strength’ is not the same as ‘is a strength’.Talk about stupidity-you are at the head of the class. As far as the worst in the NFL-that remains to be seem. Many young WRs blossom in their 2nd and 3rd year. That could very well be the case with the Raiders, and if it does happen they will be far from the worst in the league.

  77. priesttj Says:

    Lefty12

Dude is not a very sharp guy…….he’s not responsible……if you know what I mean.

  78. lefty12 Says:

Agreed,Priest.I read an interview with Campbell by someone back east in Wash. and the thing that impressed me was the praise Campbell was giving our whole WR unit, especially DHB.With DHB’s size and speed,if the QB and him develop some chemistry,we could see some special plays between them.

  79. SnB offense defense specialteams Says:

    Priesttj,

What you are neglecting is that other teams are practicing well too. I am happy you are fired up about the season.

Pads and hitting makes a huge difference. That’s practice. This is OTA like stuff right now. Trying to learn where to be and all that stuff. Let’s perform like this in pads with someone ready to hit you….let’s get open with the corners jamming the fell out of you and a hard hitting safety looming over the top.

I cannot say the Raiders are heading to a Colts like precision based on SIX practices in shorts.

  80. aig-raiders Says:

    Priest,

My Garbagegrowdski didnt seem to have much problem winning a couple of games under those 2 rookies. Try again pls.

    Dude,

Long time no see. Still coming on here smarting your rears off huh? How’s USC? The last time I asked you mentioned “what violations” this time last year. lmao.

  81. lefty12 Says:

Last year the complaint was if they can’t do things right in practice how can we expect them to do it in games. This year they seem to be ‘doing it’ in practice and it is being downplayed because its ‘just practice’.I guess to some we just can’t do anything right.

  82. aig-raiders Says:

    SnB,

Even though they dont have pads, I can assure it’s been rough out there. Langston Walker admitted as much that they go 100% at the lines. We played without pads and our WR got a concussion. Even Jerry agreed with me that we should just put the pads on and go full force.

  83. aig-raiders Says:

    Exactly Lefty,

We should be happy that they have good practices. You need good practices to MAYBE win the game but you most certainly cannot win with poor practices.

  84. priesttj Says:

    Snb

Dude relax man no one is claiming a Colts like offfense. We’re talking about ONE PLAYER tak it easy will ya’. I don’t know what the overall passing agme will loook like I’m just reiterating what I’m being told and the same things you’re hearing from Jerry and others.

I would love to see a great passing game, do I expect one NO. Let’s just calm down a bit the only player I’m talking about here is DHB………period

But I do know that you play how you practice it’s a truism. If you execute in practice you will execute in games………period

  85. Raider Dell Says:

McNabb, and he was wearing No. 5. I didn’t think it was a particularly sharp first day for the Redskins latest starting quarterback, but I’m told by observers that he has already proven he can make throws that Jason Campbell never dreamed of in the past.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$Above quote by a washington exec is either the truth to Jason campbell difficulities in the west coast offense, or his inability to make certain throws as a QB, or a big lie to justify a QB change for McNabb and his performance thus far.

  86. lefty12 Says:

Dell, the hell with the Redskins, what do you expect them to say that McNabb can’t do what Campbell could?.All we can and should do is judge Campbell by how he does for us.

  87. RAIDERMAN99 Says:

When evaluating the quality of the Raider receiving corps, one must consider that this group of young men had the dumbest, most inaccurate QB in NFL history attempting to throw the pigskin to them.

Yes, Murphy, DHB and Schillens are green but they also seem talented to me.

Admittedly DHB didn’t perform well. The big question about him was his hands and he did nothing to lead anyone to believe that the belief that he couldn’t catch was unwarranted. But he does have that great speed that can’t be taught. With the right desire and coaching he could turn things around and be a force.

Murphy had a very good rookie year. With a better QB he’d have had alot more catches and yards. His blocking on the long Miller TD vs. the Eagles was the Raider play of the year in my opinion. He’s a keeper.

Schillens can be an upper tier WR. The only question is durability. He’s got the size, speed and hands to be one of the best. I’m really pulling for him to overcome the injury bugaboo that has plagued him so far. When I’ve seen him interviewed I was impressed by how well spoken he was. Seems like a real good kid.

Has this group done much yet ? Nope.

But given the right QB, some more experience and refinement, I think they can do plenty.

Worst WR corps in the NFL ? Hardly.

    Lefty,

I agree with your comment #86, just a quote I read in the article.

  89. lefty12 Says:

Dell, the ’skins will probably be one of the medias darlings this year due to the love affair they have for the rat. Here’s hoping they go down in flames.Never liked the rat-never will!!!!!!

  90. Raider Dell Says:

    Lefty,

Let’s also be cautious with our own media, who may also be overstating camp performance, due to the abysmal camps the last three years.

Last year, I recall a completed pass was a big deal. Many times Jerry tweeted, the ball on the ground and incomplete. Let’s be optimistic and let’s see for ourselves when the exhibition season starts.

  91. lefty12 Says:

I agree,Dell. But it sure is better reading what we hear so far this year as opposed to the last couple of years. Also,I doubt Jerry would sugar coat things,he seems to keep things in proper perspective.

  92. Raider Dell Says:

Pads on Monday. We will read some different quotes from the scribes as the players play that physical part of the game.

  93. lefty12 Says:

Lets hope they continue to be positive. That is all we have at this point in time-HOPE!!!!

  94. Raider Dell Says:

    Lefty,

    Take care, off to bed.

  95. lefty12 Says:

    Night,Dell.

  96. priesttj Says:

Yes! hope based on what’s going on in practice. It’s like Lefty12 said earlier there were constant complaints about what wasn’t happening in practice, now they’re complaining about what is happening saing it dosn’t man anything. Well which is it?

  97. Dude Says:

Hmm… Priests rhetoric about DHB sounds REALLLLLLLY familiar……. Every team in the league has Training Camp Stars who dont do a thing during the season. Priest is nothing but a freakn cheerleader who is wrong EVERY time he predicts something…..Period.

  98. Dude Says:

    Lefty,

Funny reading you question someones intelligence when you sing the same song EVERY year and are ALWAYS wrong.

And which is it for you priest? You dogged Jerry last year for his reporting of Russell’s failures in camp. Now you believe Jerry’s reports? lol….

I for one always took his reports at face value. Not like he’s making this sh1t up. Therefore, I’m excited about this year, especially DHB. Like his improvement. But there remains one big step so my optimism is cautious. Gotta do it in games, obviously.

According to KFFL, DHB added 10 pounds of muscle.

  101. RaiderSam Says:

hoping that DHB steps it up. The main thing is probably
MILB Rolando McLain…we really need some run support.

    Truth…

Man I hope you are right!

I got a question for all. How much would you pay for
    Tim Brown now?

Timmy was the best O weapon we have had in the last 20 years

!!….. But he did not have RAIDER SPEED… Well he did until his rookie year, and then…

    It’ true.

Despite playing in Paul Johnson’s triple-option offense at Georgia Tech, a system that’s considered ill-suited for the NFL, Thomas was selected ahead of the more polished Dez Bryant, who went to the Dallas Cowboys at No. 24.

Q; Why dont the Donkasses get hate on for passing on Dez?

A; because nobody gives a $hit about them!!

  105. NoMoreFargasForever Says:

A young Tim Brown would stand out even more with this horrible Wr core. 10 lbs of muscle tell me DudleyHB is learning to catch the ball .

    GO RAIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  106. priesttj Says:

I saw DHB in the office before the draft and the 1st mini camp he had already putr on some size and had been working out. This guy was doing some heavy weight lifting and had bulked up already. That’ when I came in here and posted that I thought he would have a great offseason. Well he’s having it.

  107. DirtyRaccoon Says:

    Dudley haaa.

I had a dream once where he got a pass stuck in his face mask! Over, and over, and over…

Random thought: Al will take a DB in the first round next year… It has been too long since he has burned a high pick on a CB.

  110. DirtyRaccoon Says:

Priest, that is the case more often than not, regardless of what the talking monkeys say. If they had any interaction with the team, they would see.

  111. lefty12 Says:

interesting takes on Comcast Sportsnet web site.Says DHB has clearly been the best player on the field so far. Also says Veldheer is fighting for starting spot and has been taking snaps with 1st team at LT as well as practicing at Center.
