Seven down, one to go
By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Sunday, August 1st, 2010 at 11:47 am in Oakland Raiders.
The Raiders concluded a fairly uneventful morning session Sunday and will have one more practice this afternoon before putting the pads on Monday afternoon.
For the next week, the Raiders will have a brief morning walkthrough on days with pads (Monday, and probably Wednesday and Friday as well) and practice at 3:30 p.m., with media availability coming in the evening.
Tuesday and Thursday will be double sessions at 8:30 a.m. and 4:20 p.m. without pads.
The Raiders remained healthy through the Sunday morning session, missingly only wide receivers Chaz Schilens (foot) and Louis Murphy (concussion).
Cable said there is no hurry to get either player on the field, with Schilens working the soreness out of his twice-surgically-repaired left foot and Murphy still sensitive to light and sound following the concussion.
More to come before the afternoon practice, including items on linebacker Rolando McClain, running back Darren McFadden, wide receiver Jacoby Ford and quarterback Jason Campbell . . .
Morning practice notes can be found on my Twitter page.

How can that foot not be healed after the off season it was just a broken bone, right ?
August 1st, 2010 at 12:04 pm
X-rays showed there is nothing wrong with the foot-it is just sore.Ever had foot surgery? It takes awhile for it to feel ok.Those damn small bones are pain.

hard to believe…i broke 2 meta-tarsals in my right foot and tore tendons in the ankle and played 5 basketball games in a weekend 10 days later.
There has to be more to it with him…he’s had 2 surgeries on it.

Fargas signed with a UFL team. The same team signed Curry and A.Walter.This same team then signed the one and only super-bust.I believe it is the Omaha team but I’m not sure.

DHB better be as improved as the Raiders media dept. is claiming he is. Our young receiving corps is banged up and we haven’t even logged one week in camp. Not a good sign.
Won’t help Campbell much either – if he doesn’t have anybody to throw to.
August 1st, 2010 at 12:56 pm
Disregard that.I read it somewhere but after looking up the league and rosters none of their names are mentioned.Sorry about that.
