    Big Ted,

The Raiders are currently in a HISTORIC losing stretch. Are or have there been a bunch of positives to point out????
    _____________________________
We were AFC Champs just 7 years ago. That is much better than many other teams. (The 49ers haven’t won a conference championship since 1994). I guess it depends on how you WANT to look at it.

I WANT to think positively about my team, and life in general. I know there are plenty of negatives I could be dwelling on – that is called depression – good luck with that.

  • aig-raiders

Found this funny piece on Pft…

Rough news for 49ers fans at the start of training camp: Top pick Anthony Davis listens to Miley Cyrus.

  • BigTed707

    Dude,
Do you think it is true that J-Russ actually improved the Raiders in his three years here, compared to the three years before?

I think the truth is: we were rock bottom before he got here, and he didn’t help us get any better.

  • BigTed707

“If there has been a fumble by a RB through seven practices, I haven’t seen it, and DC John Marshall is urging defenders to go for strip.” via twit.
    —————————-

I like this – It tests our running backs as well as teaches good habits to defenders.

I think the acquisition of John Marshall is one of those positives that Dude requested I point out.

  • Just Fire Baby

All the “Raiders record improved the three years Jamarcus was here compared to the prior 3 years” will be silenced when our record the next 3 years after Jamarcus left is vastly improved.

  • aig-raiders

    Just ignore DUDE,

he comes on here to smart off through out the season. The best response to him is asking him how is USC doing and he’ll shut up real quick.

Anyone with half a brain would see that we avg 9 points a game under Jawalrus for the first 10 games last year. Enough said.

  • Dude

LOL @Big Ted. Sorry bro, my mood/life dznt revolve around the Raiders wins or losses. Good try though. Funny as hell that you actually harkened back to SEVEN years ago! That is a typical Raider fan excuse/rationalization. “Hey man, we were in the Superbowl 8 years ago” LOL. Notice how the number keeps growing, making it more and more pathetic a argument, yet Raider fan keeps using it. I mean, pay no attention to the fact that the history books will show that no team ever had a more pathetic stretch of losing than the one that the Raiders are currently in. History nly counts when its good, right Teddy??

  • Dude

USC is fine. Not real worried bout them. The next year or two will be different but theyll recover. Thanks for askn Alisqueer.

What was that you were bragging about “what violations” this time last year for USC? What happened to your championship?

    Dude,

speaking history? Please tell me how many teams in the nfl you know that has not hit rock bottom in its history? Cowboys? Patriots? Indy? SF? NO?

Tell me if the Raiders have ever had a championship taken away after winning it like USC is right now.

Lance as the head coach? For someone that is all about numbers records and nothing but facts, you are delusional.

  • aig-raiders

    Dude,

Were you a USC fan when they were the perenial doormat to UCLA before the arrival of Pete Carroll and his cheating ways? Or are you just a bandwagon fan? Which one is it?

  • Dude

LOL@ “what happened to your championship”. Like anyone cares that they took the “title” away??? When they can erase history and peoples memory then I will care.
The sanctions suck, no doubt, but it will be sweet when they win the Pac 10 and get to chuckle at Oregon or UW going to the Rose Bowl as a replacement team.

  • aig-raiders

Jerrymcd Campbell finds Jacoby Ford on nice turn-in rout in front of Chris Johnson. He’s been getting some compliments from coaches for his routes.
    ————————

Thec is about to bust to nut on this one…..

  • aig-raiders

    Dudette

Win the pac 10? by who? Lame Kitten’s track record as HC? Do you even know his track record as a HC? Drexl is right. Who’s delusional here?

  • Dude

His cheating ways?? That is so weak, its funny.

As far as being a doormat goes. You show your true stupidity when you say something so rediculous.

  • aig-raiders

    Dudette,

What was the record from 1991 to 1998 for USC vs UCLA? you want to talk about 7 bad raider yrs. How about USC being owned by UCLA for 8 years straight?

You dont know shytt so GTFO

  • Dude

His track record as a head coach in Oakland and Tennesee have nothing to do with USC. I thought he did some good things with the Raiders and when he was at SC as a coordinator. He has a good staff and good talent. With Masoli being gone, it opens the door for a title.

  • Just Fire Baby

USC will probably win their toughest game on the schedule, but underachieve for the year.

That is the way with Lance at the helm.

  • Dude

Do you REALLY want to put up UCLAs program against SCs????

Nice route inside by Ford beats Johnson; DHB up high for nice 20-yard catch from Campbell

  • Just Fire Baby

Raiders have been better with Tom Cable than they were with 76 yard FG Lane.

And I’m here to tell you the Vols will go better than 7-6 this year.

  • Just Fire Baby

    Just fire,

What do you base that on?

    **********************************

Lane beating a ranked South Carolina team and playing Alabama their toughest game all year, than getting throttled by Ole Miss and losing to UCLA and Auburn at home and going 7-6 for the year.

  • Thec07

I am a die hard USC fan, Lane is horrible for the program… Team will slink back to the middle of the pack, until he leaves…book it…

  • Thec07

JFORD getting some 1st team run….
    where the hell is JLH???

  • aig-raiders

    Dudette,

You mocked us for the past 7 years. How about you defend USC vs UCLA since 1991. What happened between 1991 to 1998 PRIOR to Carrol’s arrival? Yes, being owned for a decade straight by UCLA and being UCLA’s biatttch. In the history of your rivalry, never has any one team owned the other for almost 1 decade until UCLA did it.

    Go Bruins.

  • Thec07

One thing i am noticing not a lot of dropped or underthrows, or major QB issues thus far. I am not getting a head of myself here but it seems like they are doing better than this time last year…

  • Dude

No way Thec, he is one of the best recruiters in the country and has surrounded himself with a great staff. He will be good for SC…..book that.

  • Thec07

the lan sark combo of running the O was horrible. If Chow stays the easily win mor Cships….

Chow was the mastermind behind that team, Lane and sark 2 good politicians…

  • Dude

Your a Bruin fan?? LOL! That explains alot. Like there is any chance that we could have a rational convo on the subject of SC/UCLA football.

  • SnB offense defense specialteams

    Thec07,

What I like about this is we have a good QB coaching staff with Jackson, Tollner and Hackett and a QB that has the tools to do something good.

JaDavis didn’t give a shhhhh and didn’t work at all.

But Campbell has been looking for good consistent coaching. Might be the 1st time he’s getting it in his career.

    Things looking up.

    ++++++++++++++

    1. Put some coin on it, sat 250 snacks…
    2. Wonder if the team will be motivated to play without a bowl bid.

    3. 7-6 at best…. book it

  • aig-raiders

    Dudette,

Were you owned for almost 1 decade by UCLA? yes or no please

  • aig-raiders

I am not a Bruins fan. But when idiots like you come on here blasting us for the past 7 years I just wanted to remind you that were owned for 1 decade by your cross town Rival.

I just did to rub it in your face.

It doesn’t matter who he surrounds his ass with, his record is trash.

The man is a cancer on football.

Lets not forget he was on staff when the whole Reggie is a cheater stuff went down.

It is good to know that there is at least one @sshat in Lance’s camp.

    Thec,

Ford is getting lots of reps in practice. Chaz and Lou Murph injuries may have been a blessing disguise for the development of Ford.

Do you think he returns both punts/kicks? Haven’t heard much in regards to any of that, except that JLH was returning punts and fumbled one.

seems jlh may be feeling the heat

No doubt Vegas, I think that will help him develop getting the reps. He could turn out to be our vesion of DROYAL… I see Him KR/PR may even split time with NMILLER depending on who emerges as the front runner…

I like both those guys, they will push JLH for slot time…IMHO…

everyone on the team should be. I hope JLH is successful, as it would be a nice problem to have ALL of our wides be productive. JLH is a vet and should be leading the way at this point for our rookies…

  • http://0 Bob Marley

    Snb makes a good point.

Paul Hackett must be thrilled that he got a QB who is willing to put in the work to get better, now we can get the most out of one the best QB coaches around.

  • Thec07

Not to mention Cable will not be calling the plays…

  • Just Fire Baby

I’m sure they want either Nick Miller or Ford be the FT punt AND kick return guy.

No sense having one guy only return part of it. JLH’s days as a return guy seem numbered, so he better be productive in his limited time in preseason.

Sticking with my initial claim that JLH and THoward won’t get much run in the preseason. If the young guys look ready to replace them without much or any dropoff, they will be cut. If the youngsters don’t look quite ready they will stay.

But it is almost out of their hands at this stage.

  • Thec07

Vegas, agreed… JLH will be allowed to focus strickly on WR… I hope he steps up as the vet he is. 2008 he had a good season… From the way the report I saw about chaz we may not be counting on him… That said it is going to be crucial that JLH steps his game up…
    As he is the VET…
