Jackson: Our whole thing is if they’re keeping score, everything’s important. That’s just kind of the way I am. If they’re keeping score, I want to win, and I think that’s the way our players are. We’re going to walk out there, and they’re going to put a ball out there and we’re going out there to play, and we’re going to play to win. We’re not just going out there to play. I watched the interview on Raiders.com and really like the way this guy comes across. He’s sharp, has a good sense of humor, is good with the media (at least on a first watch), and is extremely motivated. He also strikes the right balance with Al Davis: being respectful while not sounding/appearing like a total doormat.

He looks and sounds like a head coach already. I’m very excited for this season and what should be a decent offense, though I hope they sign a veteran wide receiver after cuts next week. It’s about time this team got back on track — been way too long.
