I would like to see two other another priorities put in there as well Coach Cable:

On defense….. maintaining GAP control and attacking and filling the gap by the D-Line and LB’s.

And on offense, Center and Fullback Blitz pickups!

Remember the Oline has year was in a complete state of flux. Only two guys started every game and our best lineman didn’t even play half the season and neither of those starters were particularly stellar. You have to really know your stuff to accurately evaluate a center in that kind of environment.

The screen game can be even more effective if freakin guys like Satele, Carlisle and Gallery actually engage someone in the 2nd or 3rd level instead of just blindly diving and completely missing a body.

If you go to the Chicago game tape, on the big play screen to the FB, Satele acts like he falls down (a classic screen play maneuver) and then levels one of the Chicago players which results in the big gain. Satele might not be Matt Birk or Nick Mangold, but he is a better player than most of you guys give him credit for. As for the Henderson brothers……….
