    860,

I think to be a good football team, you have to be good at every facet of the game. Otherwise opposing coaches can take things away from you.

Without credible WR’s defenses will crowd the line.

PLEASE where can i find the game online?? its a hunt everyweek!

  3. bstnraider Says:

miller figures or JLH? which one of three gets cut?

  4. Just Fire Baby Says:

I would like to see Nick Miller get some returns in.

We have seen JLH on punts for awhile, and he just seems to get progressively worse. I’ll pass on Figurs and Cartwright for now.

Miller and Ford should get all the returns tonight. If JLH is getting returns, than that might mean he still has to earn a job.

top ten would be a first for me.

  6. RaiderRetribution Says:

    #5 & 6 even

  7. bstnraider Says:

agreed. Im all set with jlh. lost his explosiveness, all others are faster and hungrier. He also seems to be too tenative over middle, doesnt fight for ball on outside and loses focus. Miller fills the void just the same, feerless, better hands.

  8. priesttj Says:

If you don’t think we have legit WR’s then watch tonight I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. No one will crowd the LOS on the Raiders anymore.

  9. bstnraider Says:

We do not have a legit #1 receiver. DHB has awful hands, murphy is a solid 2 with suspect hands, ford, miller unproven, jlh proven-bad. Our best shillens cant stay healthy.

  10. PurpleDrank81 Says:

ne1 no of local radio station that is carrying the game besides 105.3

  11. priesttj Says:

We might not have what you call a legit #1 but who’s to say we need one to win. All that matters is that you win. Stop whinning about 1’s and 2’s. WE’ve got what it takes to win ball games and that’s all that matters.

So the NFL guys or so called expert analysts are giving the Raiders an average record of 8-8 for the season. LaCanfora gave them the lowest record of 7-9. Which at this point I would be ok with. I would hope for an 8-8 season, anything over that would be a bonus. And like I said, 7-9 would be somewhat of a disappointment, but it would still be improvement.

I hope we keep Miller (Nick) for some reason he reminds me of Welker. I don’t know, he just does.

  13. bstnraider Says:

dont see too many superbowl winners without a solid receiver threat. But im not sour on the team, im happy we didnt persue ownens or other like receiver, i think we have a talented core. God knows we may have the fastest receivers one one team at the same time in history!

Just read on my Blackberry Sprint NFL thingy that the “Bennett Fracture” that Bush has is a lot more serious than it’s being lead on. It can cause enough damage to not be able to move your thumb if not healed properly. The healing takes 2-6 weeks. So if Bush wants to rush it and risk losing mobility of his thumb, that being a long term effect, he could possibly be ready for the opener, but that’s a tough personal choice to make. There’s life after football after all.

Raiders need to defeat the San Diego Chargers at least once, and have a division record of 4-2 at minimum to have a successful season.
