Figurs among the missing

Share

No word on who the Raiders cut to make room for Erik Pears, but return specialist/wide receiver Yamon Figurs was not present or accounted for during the media window Wednesday.

Figurs didn’t finish the Tennessee game with a stringer, but said Monday he was good to go for the St. Louis game.

Those not present at practice who had injury issues included left guard Robert Gallery (hamstring), defensive tackle Richard Seymour (hamstring) and linebacker Travis Goethel (lower back) cornerback Walter McFadden (hamstring). Those present but not practicing were cornerback Chris Johnson and safety Hiram Eugene.

Cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha also wasn’t practice as practice began. Asomugha occasionally comes out late after stretching with trainers. Running back Michael Bush was on the field with his left thumb wrapped and was in conversation with trainer Rod Martin as practice began.

Free safety Michael Huff, who didn’t finish the game with a knee injury, was practicing.

More to come later . . .

It’s very unpopular to say so but the problem swith this team were much more than Russell. He was just where everyone put there hopes and dreams for the future of this team. And when he didn’t deliver it was easy to say he was the problem. Just fans being fans.

No doubt about it. The Raiders are way more f-ked up that just at QB. The owner and coaching staff are other areas that need to be changed as well…

The irony you all are lock, stock, and barrell on board with hope & change, another failure.

Jets offense looked like crap and Kris Jenkins is lost for the season.

could they be a “panic button” team?

    Fox Sports? My bad.

    FYI:
    49ers
    Eagles
    Jets
    Bills
    Browns

  • Mike Vick’s the new starter in Philly.

  • MistaBr0wn

The Raiders dont have a panic button they just creep along at a snails pace doing the same things wrong over & over. If there was a panic button that might be a good thing!

Al probably has a panic button but that one is wired for medical attention.

good 4 him. I always thought the guy deserved a 2nd shot to be starting QB in this league

I’d laugh if the Eagles win more games than the Skins with Vick at QB

  • PassTheCheetos

I really think the Raider’s can find a better O-Line by just havin tryout’s outside the local Jenny Craig..

  • Does Al Davis not appreciate the function of the Offensive Line?

  • MistaBr0wn

Trade BsJ for a legit talent evaluator.

  • The Titans’ DL is not great, and look what they did to our OL. You really think we are capable of an 8-8 season?

We will not win 8 games with this OL and Cable! Print that!

  • kidseven

Maybe Figurs has taken his tiny hands somewhere else.

Put the scrambling Pollock and Nick Miller the DB killer in there and let’s see what we can do. At least it will be entertaining. And start more rookies. Better to suffer through growing pains than knowing pains—as in, I know Mario is never going to be a legitimate starting left tackle.

  • MistaBr0wn

Chris Long might even have a good day come Sunday.

  • MistaBr0wn

Too bad Howie cant make the trip to watch his son play. Al could even apologize to him for the mistreatment over the years.

  • LhayeS37

sunday-the rams will attack the raiders.any 3rd and longs will be a nightmare.i don’t know much about their secondary, but i know the front 7 is solid.our o-line will be in trouble again.as usual the raiders will probably make many more mistakes, enough to keep the rams close,or the rams may win.no shock there

i forgot to mention stephen jackson.if he has’t slowed down because of the back injury,do you think huff or branch wants any part of him?

  • Too early for Sunday predictions? I think noooooooot.

    Rams 13, Raiders 9

  • KK,

Al drafted Gallery 1st RD, Grove 2nd RD, Matt S 1st RD, but he prefers drafting DBs.
We draft a lot of DBs!
BTW, we drafted 2 MLBs in the 1st RD this decade.

  • UCLA Raiders

I sure hope “butter finger” Yamon is cut. Why didn’t this coaching staff go over the final cuts of teams to bring in a semi-quality KR/PR? Don’t tell me we got better players than other people’s rejects ’cause we don’t. Even high caliber teams like Colts are constantly tinkering with their roster based on who’s available via cuts. But naaah not the Raiders! They go with their own “TALENT” come rain or shine. How arrogant should a team’s GM have to be to do that? Ohh I forgot who we’re dealing with: Al, the king of decades. Illusions of greatness is blinding Al to reality. He should open his eyes to see what he’s standing in. Earth to Al: WAKE UP!

  • LhayeS37

hey armchair do you think the rams can’t win…i don’t think is post is all that funny.it might happen.warning sounded

  • After the Raiders lose Sunday, Tom Cable is going to storm right up to Al Davis’s office, kick the door down, grab Al from his wheelchair, pin him against the wall, and apologize for not being able to execute his brilliant gameplan. Then he’s going to set Al back in his wheelchair, dust him off, walk out the door, go home, and beat up a hooker.

  • LhayeS37
