We have too much talent on this team to perform that badly. Who do you think is responsible for that? I believe it is the HC. He is like a CEO. His job is to make sure all the tom brass do their jobs, he has to have the ability to motivate his troops, devise the strategy that gives this organization the best chance to win on a consistent basis. We have all the components to compete with any other team in this league. Look at Shaun Payton, for example. How long did it take him to put the hapless NO Saints, with discarded players into a CONSISTENT POWERHOUSE. Why does TC deserve more time than Payton to elevate this team to, at least, respectability I agree with everything you said, however don't forget that Sean Payton decided to stay with the Cowboys as the OC instead of being the HC for the Raiders. He took the reigns of a better team in the Saints the next year. Mr. Davis simply does not appeal anymore to the elite coaches in the league and he historically does not overpay for this position either. Even after the loss, hard to argue at this point that Cable shouldn't be the coach. What is Jackson going to do it instead. Al needs his puppet. Leave Jackson to figure out the offense.
