BART Bridge Blues Says:

Now we know the real reason Jeff Garcia quit the team last pre-season. He saw the awesome skills of Bruce God-kowski and decided to pack it up and go home to wifey. How could he possibly compete with a younger version of himself.

...........................
truth atleast to some degree lol

The entire team played like crap against TEN, not just Campbell.

Campbell was pulled at half when we were only down 4 points.
===============
We should of never been down four to the rams.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wouldnt that be on the defense and not the QB?

You know, there are so many cities and even large towns in America that are riddled with poverty and violence today. But for some reason Oakland just gets the brunt of the criticism. I would think it was racism (considering where a lot of this criticism is coming from), but of course there are black people in all of these towns and cities. So, what separates Oakland from all of these other places with violence and poverty? Could it be that Oakland has so much more than even so many of the safer, wealthier cities? Could it be the generations of talented entertainers to come out of Oakland? Could it be that just about everyone, of all races, under the age of 40, all across America, uses some form of 90’s Oakland hip hop slang (i.e., the term “player hater”, or even it’s short derivative, “hater”)? Even in corporate board room meetings? LOL. Even the president (Bush), when he called Saddam Hussein a “hater”?

Could it also be the political movements throughout history in Oakland? Is Oakland’s exclusive criticism still pay back for the Panthers? Oakland’s reputation for standing up to abusive authority? I may be on to something here because I notice Detroit gets a lot of this unfair criticism, too.

While the back stories are much different, Cable's choice of Grads and Reid's choice of Vick to replace the supposed franchise QB both had to be made. Both Raiders and Eagles have O-line problems, and the presumed #1's were struggling to escape with their lives. It has to be obvious to anyone that was watching with an unbiased eye that Gradkowski showed much better ability to deal with the pressure, just as Vick was clearly better able to move the Eagles than Kolb. The coach has to put the QB that shows the most potential to win on the field, regardless of whether he is the "best". If Monte Poole can't see that, he's got his head firmly planted where the view ain't so good.
