If the warriors could just keep their opponents to under 100 pts per game, we'd be the #1 seed in the West. This statement is pretty meaningless by Cable but he's right. Just doesn't mean anything

Other than the Jags game in week 14, this is the best shot for an away win this season. They're 3.5 point dogs, but I like 'em:

Raiders 20-16

Tom: I'm gonna start Gradkowski, Mr. Davis.

Al: Who?

Tom: Gradkow- The Pop Gun.

Al: Oh, yeah. Tell 'im to get rid of the eyeliner. Wait a minute, Campbell has to be the one to come off the bench, just like Plunkett in 1980.

Tom: You wanted Pastorini to lead the team that year, didn't you?

Al: I did? Well what the hell is he doing now? Can he still play?

Tom: He's racing cars in Houston.

Al: Houston? I traded him back to Houston? God damn it, get Bud Adams on the phone...

McClain body slamming a player is the most Raider-esque move since their SB run.

This is off topic, but anyone have an opinion or thoughts on the Raiders and A's changing the field to that rubberized field turf? I know the general idea is that the athletes can get hurt easier, but it is so improved nowadays. Plus there are many NFL teams that use it, even outdoors (see New England, Pittsburg, to name a few who have recently made the switch).

The problem can't be the cost either, because all the local schools are converting to the rubberized turf fields.

It would be such an improvement for the football games, at least until the A's get their own stadium, them we can install an perfect grass field again. Until then, I dont understand why they dont install field turf so the football games dont have to suffer through that dirt infield for half the season. Plus once the A's season is over, the grass still doesnt look great for a few more weeks. It's rediculous. Any thoughts as to why they havent done this or if they would even consider it?

Yes, coach, not scoring points is the BIG problem here.

We almost never score more than 2 touchdowns in a game.

But how do you change that, coach, when you have the worst O line and WRs in the game? DHB looked good against the Rams, but can he do it against anyone else?

I love Gradkowski, but the poor guy has his work cut out for him. I forsee Darnell Dockett running over Cooper Carlisle and getting in Bruce's face before he can set his feet.

Hey DMAC - you must be fired up right now!
I agree totally, the RoMo tackle was fierce, that would have been "fair-bump-play-on" in Australian football. Great hit, it's why men play the game!
