Looks like the Raiders might have to exceed Tom Cable’s 24-points-per-game goal if they want to win this one.
Darren McFadden already has 74 yards rushing and 18 yards receiving. Bruce Gradkowski is 8 of 17 for 126 yards and a touchdown.
One thing the Raiders have going for them _ the Cardinals don’t seem to realize they are having a pretty easy go of it on the ground. The more Derek Anderson throws the ball, the better the chance the Raiders go 2-1 for the first time since 2004.

Reece actually had a really good block on the DMAC run and I’ll admit hes proven me wrong, I was unsure of how he’d do carrying the load but I think he’s leading the NFL in rushing right now.

The much maligned Raider O-line is playing pretty damn well as a whole. Gave up one sack, but are basically protecting Grads fairly well. And they are obviously opening some holes for DMac.
We give them a lot of crap on here, and most of the time they deserve it. But gotta give credit where credit is due. Props to them.
Now, let’s blow these jokers out in the 2nd half.

I had to go back to Oct. 30, 2005 to find the last time Raiders scored more than 20 by halftime. Led Tennessee 24-22, won game 34-25. That’s 75 games ago. Scored 21 in fourth quarter of last year’s win over Pittsburgh.

The defense was bad on that drive. But they’ve only given up about 200 yards (if you don’t count penalty yardage).
The offense is the bigger problem right now. They’ve squandered too many opportunities.

I don’t care if Tom Cable is the next Bill Walsh…If I were Al Davis sitting in the sky box, and I watched my team, down 4, take a 2 and INCHES and, THUS, CERTAIN touchdown with 3 potential QB sneaks to come, and turn it into a 2nd and 7 because of a delay of game penalty (no less, already into the 4th Q with timeouts left), I would immediately roll my wheelchair onto the field and fire WHOEVER THE %&*#^$ the coach is, ON THE SPOT, no questions asked.
I don’t care if it is Gradkowski’s fault ultimately, or Jackson’s call, I don’t care if we had scored a TD on the subsequent play…THAT KIND OF $%*)&$% INEPTITUDE must be PUNISHED…or else, why else go on living?
