Anyhow, the answer is yes, coaches can call a timeout when the play clock is winding down.

I HATE FAT PEOPLE, SeaFat doesn’t have to practice or exercise with the team until Preseason and even then he usually splits time with some no named kicker/punter to keep “fresh”
all he has to do is show up on Sundays during the regular season and make FG’s (and touchbacks).
it’s obvious fatty ain’t getting it done

How ironic that an Oakland Raiders legend at QB and Kicker led the way to an Oakland Raiders victory. After a loss to a team where our place kicker who is 90.2% misses three in a row.
Blanda could be a two for one deal today kicking field goals and being the QB. Athletes today have all the measurables in every aspect then the players of the 70’s except for the heart. That is one measure we always miss in todays game.

Rest in piece. Thanks for the Great memories. My family and I send you heart felt condolences.
You guys act like Sea Bass is garbage. How many games has this guy won for this team?! You can’t count the # of games he is responsible for losing on one hand. Didn’t he almost break Jan Stenarudes record last season?
I will say this though. Last season Sea Bass was in the best shape he has been in since he was a Raider. He did not have that big fat belly last year. He even stated he felt more energy and he felt stronger. If he were in last years shape the game winning TD on the opening ko would not have happened. He would have tackled the dude.
I say don’t be stupid, Jano stays in Oakland. If he goes to Denver! You will live to regret it!

Solution to Jano’s problem is simple: MANDATORY exercises with a personal trainer. Strengthen that core, drop 30 pounds and Nobody gets past Jano!
I do not know exactly how many but he has made more TD saving tackles than he has missed. Yesterday’s was just a case of being waaay overweight. I was just hoping he did not rip a hamstring while trying to make that tackle.
His exercise circuit should include: Kicking off from the 30 yd line, and then immediately sprint to the 50 yard sideline, as if to block the ko return man. The goal will be to get his best time (lowest possible) and then maintain that goal.
September 27th, 2010 at 4:17 pm
