Somebody please answer the following question objectively…

How good would Rich Gannon have been if he played behind our current offensive line. No Barrett Robbins, no Lincoln Kennedy, no Steve Wisniewski.

    Thank you.

Watching Cable’s press conference. Must say that I agree with him about the OL’s play. There were two sacks and a couple of penalties, but he pointed out that Bruce was back there several times patting the football and looking from side to side for open receivers. He also said there were lots of plays to be made. The OL and playcalling are taking too much heat for this loss.

    Debo,

I read the article and I think I understand it quite well. You just dont get it just like you thought JFB was bashing Bruce but he wasnt. Bruce threw into single coveerage is what he is supposed to do. You want him to throw into double coverage?

Get over it. You’re still defending any black personel on the Raiders. Jawalrus, JC and even Hue. Just about everyone on here recognized that Hue sucks yesterday except you.

  • StayinBlack

i can’t say Hue sucked. Now he did blow the redzone opps but really how many times have we ever been in the redzone at least 5 times in a game in recent history?

  • raidertay

Seabass misses a chip shot to win the game and teh next day the Raiders HOF kicker dies. Not saying their related. Just a bit ironic.

You just said Bruce was throwing into single coverage. Doesn’t that imply that the right plays were being called? Guys were open. The plays were there. Bruce said it himself. The failure from the -yard line is almost entirely on him. This man crush you have on Bruce is embarassing. With all the breaks we got in this game, the play of McFadden, and the play of the defense, there’s no way it should have come down to a field goal. This man crush you have on Bruce is embarassing. Bruce could throw five picks (which easily could have happened yesterday) and you’d still be blowing him.

I still want to know WTF happened on the delay of game penalty.

What was the problem ? Headset not working ? Play get in late ?

I mean, you’re 2nd and goal at the half-yard line, and you can’t get a play called and the ball snapped in time to avoid a delay there ? Are you kidding me ?

Vegas, you’re right…part of the blame, maybe even most of the blame goes to Bruce there for not calling the time out. A more experienced QB sees the play clock at 7 seconds, realizes his line isn’t set, knows a delay penalty is almost unavoidable at that point, turns to the official takes the time out, walks to the sideline, and we likely score on the next play and wind up winning the game.

But WTF was Cable doing ? When the Raids break huddle late and it’s fairly obvious a delay penalty is coming, Cable has got to get a time out called.

You bet Bruce should have called the time out on his own, but when he didn’t, Cable had a good 7 seconds to get an official’s attention and call it himself. That’s his job, to manage the clock and coach. He has to see the play is late 10 seconds before the clock expires. If his QB isn’t heads-up enough to call the TO, then he damned well better do it himself.

It was obvious watching that play unfold on TV that the Raids were gonna get flagged for delay. It was easily avoidable.

Cable’s got a lot of explaining to do.

“Bruce could throw five picks (which easily could have happened yesterday) and you’d still be blowing him.”

The point is Bruce DIDN’T throw five picks. He didnt have a great game, but he did enough to win. Converted some big 3rd downs and a 4th in the clutch.

On the other hand, JaMoron is out of the league, the biggest bust ever, and his nuts are still banging against your chin.

I remember you saying that JaMoron was your favorite Raider !

I’m surprised you think you have any credibility after reading all your BS about JaMoron last year and this off-season.

Grads on his worst day has never been as bad as JaMoron on his best.

    God Bless,

Tatum and now Blanda, the great ones are dying and not being replaced. Glad I was around to see the great ones play. Hang in there Mr. Davis, I know these are very tough times for you.
