The point is Bruce DIDN’T throw five picks. He didnt have a great game, but he did enough to win. Converted some big 3rd downs and a 4th in the clutch.

I mean, you’re 2nd and goal at the half-yard line, and you can’t get a play called and the ball snapped in time to avoid a delay there ? Are you kidding me ?

Vegas, you’re right…part of the blame, maybe even most of the blame goes to Bruce there for not calling the time out. A more experienced QB sees the play clock at 7 seconds, realizes his line isn’t set, knows a delay penalty is almost unavoidable at that point, turns to the official takes the time out, walks to the sideline, and we likely score on the next play and wind up winning the game.

But WTF was Cable doing ? When the Raids break huddle late and it’s fairly obvious a delay penalty is coming, Cable has got to get a time out called.

You bet Bruce should have called the time out on his own, but when he didn’t, Cable had a good 7 seconds to get an official’s attention and call it himself. That’s his job, to manage the clock and coach. He has to see the play is late 10 seconds before the clock expires. If his QB isn’t heads-up enough to call the TO, then he damned well better do it himself.

It was obvious watching that play unfold on TV that the Raids were gonna get flagged for delay. It was easily avoidable.

The failure from the -yard line is almost entirely on him. This man crush you have on Bruce is embarassing.
