Bruce Gradkowski completes 50 percent of his passes, which ranks 30th in the NFL right now …

31st is Dakota’s boy Jimmy Clausen!

    LOL

Bruce has a QB Rating of 71.8 , which ranks 21st in the NFL. Below guys like Seneca Wallace, Josh Freeman & Matt Cassel

  • bcz24

The Raiders are tied for second over in the NFL in yards allow at 260.7 per game

The Raiders and Jaguars are allowing 4.6yds per carry.

The Raiders are #2 overall in passing yards allowed per game 127.7ypg. Jaguars are #29 overal in passing yards allowed per game 289ypg.

RoMac must not play on any passing downs… are on the running downs that have allowed us to improve to 24th in the NFL… He must only play on the bad ones.

  • bcz24

Oh yeah… we are 24th in points allowed, they are 29th…

  • bcz24

Matt Cassells rating before he carved the 49ers up was a 55.3… he had one good game as a chief and it was last week.

    JFB: you’re trashing the Cardinals?

    *********************************

I am trashing their 31st ranked run defense, with their shiny new 1st round pick at NT.

  • RaiderRockstar

you guy are great at making excuses!

    must be democrats :)

  • fat kidd

gradkowski started last week and somehow the news is slow to get too you people, but any who he lost, i hate to break it too you this way but he lost, now as i remember jason campbell got yanked after a game and a half cause he lost or was losing so if my math is correct that leaves gradkowski 2 qtrs before he gets the hook.

  • Just Fire Baby

Bruce has only been sacked 3 times, which puts him amongst the league leaders, lol.

  • Just Fire Baby

Bruce has an average of 7.4 yards per attempt, which puts him ahead of Tony Romo, Aaron Rodgers, Matt Ryan, Carson Palmer, Brett Favre and about 10 other QB’s.

Bruce = down the field thrower which is why his completion % is so low.

    1.5 games though remember?

3 sacks in 6 quarters comes out to 1 sack per half

and behind this O-Line he might just deserve an award for that!

Sorry to break it to you, but your math is like the “mental math” that they are teaching my kids at school. Math and you are clearly not friends.

  • bcz24

Whos making excuses. I am giving you stats! If Grads has a 150 rating after carving up the worst pass D in football what are you going to tell me? It was a fluke against a weak D. Yet when I use the same argument I am making excuses?

  • ghosttothepost

That’s one legit reason JFB … But also he is not all that accurate and he’s too short (gets passes knocked down at the line)

  • RaiderRockstar

Bruce = down the field thrower

    ***

not good when he has a noodle arm

has Chad Pennington ever been labeled a “down the field thrower” ???

No, but at least he was accurate!

trade Nick Miller & Hiram Eugene for Chad P!

who cares about comp % ?

The yards per attempt is what troubles defensive coordinators, that have to keep guessing. It keeps them from crowding the LOS.

I’d take the 50% passing and like the taste of that medicine, even the interceptions. Watching a checkdown passer throw 5 yard passes on third and 6 gets old. It also wears out the defense. You cant compete with the D on the field all the time. 3 and outs are as good as turnovers.

I don’t think reality is friends with half of these Raiders fans either … thats why they trash Jerry Mac all the time too (he speaks the truth!)

    O I see….makes sense now

  • fat kidd

al davis mathematics are i am paying a qb 500,000 a year too lose games for me when i have a guy i am paying 4 million carrying a clipboard.

  • ghosttothepost

The only reason to care about comp. pct. is that because the elite NFL QBs can do both — yds per and solid pct.

    From Jason Cole:
Memo to Oakland Raiders wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey(notes): While it’s nice to see you playing better, stop begging for pass-interference penalties on every route. It only makes you look ridiculous. Over the past two games, Heyward-Bey has begged officials for interference calls at least five times … and that’s just in the times I’ve been watching the Raiders. Heyward-Bey did get one important interference call in the game at Arizona, but he didn’t have to beg for that one.

  • RaiderRockstar

BCZ: JFB & I are debating Run Defense and you pop in with some Pass D stats!

completely off topic. we’re not talking about total D or Pass D, alright?

do the Jags have guys in the secondary named Asomugha or Huff? no. so just cool it

Run D only, Jags are better. point made. time to move on

    NEXT

  • guest123

    I’ll take Grads 15/30/265 over Campbell’s 22/32/165 anyday.

  • ghosttothepost

Case in point for my last post: Stabler career 59.8 pct./7.4 yards per attempt

  • RaiderRockstar

    G123,

Grads > Campbell > JaWalrus isn’t saying much

time for the Kyle Boller era to start in Oakland ???

  • ghosttothepost

Yep, Grads is better than Campbell … BFD

  • guest123

That ypa for Stabler had a lot to do with Cliff Branch, an all time stud who should be in the HOF. They needed to retire his number, but at least Asomugha is a deserving player to wear the legendary 21

I’m not in denial of who or what we are….

just trying to make some lemonade and spike it a bit an hope it passes for koolaide

  • bcz24

You arent debating run defense you are debating Middle Linebackers. Last I checked MLBs are on the field for those pesky pass plays that get thrown in.

Your right though. I just cant understand why you waste your time here hating on the Raiders instead of over at a Jaguars forum blowing Captain Kirk…

    ***

wish I could have seen Cliff play, back in the day.

I’m limited to those old Commitment to Excellence DVD’s and the 3 disc set Super Bowl pack

  • ghosttothepost

yea, Stabler had Branch and Freddie B. … a bit better than DHB and Murphy … although since they are both very young, keep hope … Branch couldn’t catch a cold in his first few years in the NFL

He takes lots of chances. That’s why I love the ‘oh he should have been pickes X number of times.’

And if your aunt had balls, she’d be your uncle.

  • LA to TheBay

    picked*

Cliff Branch, an all time stud who should be in the HOF. They needed to retire his number

Raiders don’t retire numbers, which I actually think is really cool.

And nobody gets to wear #1 (that’s Al’s number).

  • fat kidd

campbell boller grads and frye will be coming back then someone has to go.

  • RaiderRockstar

BCZ: if you wanted to be perverted, take it elsewhere. alright?

    this place is family friendly

and who are you to say what JFB have been debating since BEFORE the draft?

you stuck your nose in where it didn’t belong and you got thumped. don’t act surprised about it

  • guest123

RRS, Cliffy was my childhood hero, the first poster I ever had was of Cliff Branch. It was a thing of beauty to watch him run those post stutter step routes when he’d just blow by the DB and the safety was caught napping. The big arm of Stabler and the deep bomb when one play at the start of a drive could change everything.

Cliff Branch is still my favorite all time Raider.

If I change my blog name, it will have something to do with CB21…

  • ghosttothepost

RR, it was perfect … Fred would catch everything mid-range, so they’d start doubling him … and then Cliff would suddenly run by them on a sideline streak for a long TD … It was magic

  • LA to TheBay

do the Jags have guys in the secondary named Asomugha or Huff?

That’s like saying do the Jags have guys on offense like Jerry Rice and Hank Baskett?

Lol, if we have a bromance with Grads, you’re honeymooning with your boy Huffy.

Yes it was, and you had Mark Van Eeghan up the middle softening the defense.

    new post!

  • fat kidd

eagles go with mike vick trade kevin kolb to the raiders for bruce gradkowski, goes back to j. campbell as starter cuts charlie frye .drafts andrew luck next year goes with campbell kolb and andrew luck.

  • sirblitzalot

If your occupation is ditch digger, and you work a regular work shift. Your job description might consists of lifting a shovel, operating a jack hammer, etc. You get a living wage for doing this back breaking work. If you are Jano, you get paid $250,000 a game to KICK FIELD GOALS!

When a kicker accepts a job, he should have a contract that mandates that the kicker be under the auspices of personal trainer and that he work 8 hours a day in the gym, with his personal trainer, so that he is condition to run down a kicker that gets past all the other members of the Special teams. If Jano were under such a contract the Raiders would not have lost the game on the opening kickoff. So why don’t the people that sign kickers include this stipulation in the contract.

If there is no work ethic, then they should be penalized or forced to work like any other citizen in this country. FAT Azz Jano should have prevented that TD!!

  • sirblitzalot

Jano made a major f/u on the opening ko and he made a major f/u on the last play of the game. And he sucked in between.

  • RaiderRetribution

Raiders need to win today, and even next week is more important than today, but the raiders must focus on the Titans

  • RaiderRetribution

Word on NFL Network is Andre Johnson is very doubtful.

Raiders better win by two TDs if Andre is out.
