    Plunk, seriously?

CJ37 & Walter Mac are banged up. Branch & Mitchell both stink in coverage.

Henderson & Seymour are banged up on the D-Line and Tommy Kelly & Rolando McLame can’t pick up the slack in terms of Run D …

  • Plunketthead

I am a kool aid drinking homer, RR

I think the Defense will continue to improve
And DMAC/Bush/Murphy/DHB are about to explode with SuperBruce leading the way

  • RaiderRockstar

I think the Defense will continue to improve

    ***

the Run D has only played well 3 of 12 quarters thus far, against a lousy Rams team and that was with big John Henderson in the middle

is there room to improve? yes!

will they? remains to be seen

the best thing to hope for is Foster’s shoulder injury to be worse than advertised, forcing the Texans to go pass happy without Andre Johnson out there.

we have a plethora of pass rushers!

Houston, ShoNasty, Scott & Wimbley are VERY good in this regard

  • NoMoreFargas

We played the Rams,Cardinals two awful teams how did the Run D do vs Titans lets put together some games vs good teams then I’ll start singing the praises of the D. And anyone notice Titans don’t look so good.

    GO RAIDERS!!!

    GO LAKERS NOT A 3PEAT JUST A YR BEFORE A 4PEAT!!!

    Good Morning Nation!!!
You know, I’ve only been on this blog for a little more than 4 years…part of the AM Crew for over 2 years…what will happen IF the Raiders put together at least a 3 game win streak???
Anyways…like Dirt Lot said on Monday morning…may just be me, him, Norco Bob, his friend that’s on here (can’t remember his name) and the seagulls on Sunday….

  • hwnrdr

Top of the morning btw to Plunkett, Rockstar, NMF…
NMF, actually…yes, take away that one long run…the D held Tenn to a little over 100 yards…and aren’t teams running the ball to get rid of the clock with a big arse lead like how they had…?

Debo is still holding onto the fact that Jamarcus will get another chance.

Scanning the internet to get some type of updates. “I hear he is doing great with John Lucas”. LMAO!!! Lucas is a basketball guy, so basically Jamarcus is just trying to get into shape.

Clue me in when he is in a football skills camp, or actually invited to a camp for a workout.

  • guest123

Good Morning guys. Some Raider kool aid for Wednesday, Sept 29.

We have all the pieces we need to dominate the Texans. We just need to put it together. The defense can’t allow mistake matchups like allowing a LB cover Andre Johnson. David Anderson sucks and Matt Schaub will surely make us pay. Hopefully we get Big John Henderson back in there for 25+ plays and stuff the run. We also need to stop making the mental mistakes, the false starts, etc. that you have in your control.

    No freebee plays!

Last week’s poor kicking was an anomaly, and I feel that we have kicked Seabass around enough. He will rebound and make every kick this week. Still very disappointed with our special teams on both sides of the ball. The clock is ticking on John Fassel. He’s gotta be the worst ST coach in the NFL. I will throw down a few cold ones, the day he is fired.

Still the ST’s lacks continuity, and I am hoping that retaining Stevie Brown will allow that unit to gel a bit. This yoyo game with Stevie Brown wasn’t good for the team. Nick Miller is occupying a spot that a contributing player could actually use. Here I am looking at big Al, he needs to stop all this scholarship nonsense, and clean house for a game plan that involves the entire roster. This is frustrating but out of our control.

Al Davis runs things and he wont let you forget it.

On offense, I like the progression of Darius Heyward Bey and Louis Murphy. They are both running routes now, knowing that there’s plays being called for them and that they aren’t just clearing space like they did in the past to get Zach Miller open. Gradkowski is proving to be a big play QB, that is hit and miss, and you gotta love the yards per attempt. That philosophy is forcing the defensive coordinators into drop back zone coverage, and opening up running lanes for Darren McFadden to gash through with force. DMAC is a beast this year, and I expect a big day running and receiving this Sunday.

Keys to the game: Pressure Schaub and break down his pocket. Improve the safety coverage. Improve special teams from last week’s failing grade to a C minus. Continue the offensive downfield philosophy against the worst pass defense in the NFL.

Once we go into the 4th quarter with a lead, we should get a lot of loud support from the Raider faithful that will put them over the top.

My humble prediction: Raiders 31 Texans 27

Is Arian Foster the real deal?

    Wednesday Predictions for Sunday’s game:

Texans RB Arian Foster has a big day. 125 yards and 2 TD’s

Andre Johnson is a non factor, but WR’s Walter & Jones each get TD’s

Matt Schaub ends up with 350 passing yards, 2 TD’s and 2 INT’s. he is sacked twice

Raiders RB Darren McFadden goes up over 100 yards again and has 2 rushing TD’s. Mike Bush also gets a 1-yard score

Louis Murphy is a non factor, but DHB gets a TD and Zach Miller catches 7 balls for 105 yards

Bruce Gradkowski throws for 290 yards, 1 TD and 2 INT’s. sacked 3 times

Janikowski goes 1 for 2 on FG’s. the one he makes is in the early first quarter, the one he misses is in the late 3rd …

    End Result = Raiders 31-28

No Steroids: The Raiders opened their doors Tuesday to more than 100 high school student-athletes from four Oakland high schools for an anti-steroid training session. Raiders linebacker Sam Williams and strength and conditioning coach Brad Roll helped educate the students about the dangers of using steroids and human growth hormone.

Students from Skyline High, Davis Senior High, Mandela High and Media College Prep participated in the five-hour session. The program was borne of a $2.6 million grant from Redskins owner Daniel Snyder and his fellow 31 NFL owners in conjunction with the NFL players.

Looks like Ryan Mathews is back for our sloppy seconds against Arizona:

    Ryan Mathews, RB SD

News: The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that Chargers RB Ryan Mathews said he was pain free after doing his most extensive workout Monday, and head coach Norv Turner said he is “hopeful” Mathews will return to practice this week heading into Week 4 against Arizona. “They let me get after it today,” Mathews said. “It didn’t hurt. I felt like my normal self.” Mathews was inactive Sunday at Seattle in Week 3 due to the sprained ankle suffered in Week 2 against Jacksonville. He was replaced in the lineup against the Seahawks by Mike Tolbert and Darren Sproles. He was originally diagnosed with a high ankle sprain, but Mathews said the injury was not as serious as originally thought.

Tom Cable is highest paid time out coordinator in the NFL, and half the time, he can’t even get that right.

I am officially in I’ll believe it when I see it mode.

I have zero faith in a Cable lead anything.

  • elraid

Amazing I read these blogs every single day and it is simply pathetic how many of the bloggers have zero knowledge about football. First off any moron here who thinks Jason Campbell is the answer needs to get a labotomy. The guy is a statue, slow at reading defenses and unable to process information. Gradkowski has less physical tools but knows how to react quickly. I agree the offensive line is a major problem, but please tell the the Steelers line is significantly better. I rest my case!

  • bcz24

#619… I feel we are a different team. Definitely will not be looked past. Teams will gameplan for us. Fact is our OLine is too weak for us to run a consistant offense and will prevent us from getting over the hump. My big concern is when we DONT get over the hump and we fire the coaching staff, does it set the whole team back? Are we back to square one?

  • RaiderRockstar

RIGHT OVER THAT “I’M IN” SIGN OF KIFFIN’S..

    ***

that should go on Cable’s door

…and then somebody should write “over my head” beneath it!

A move I’m anxious to hear about today is Stevie Brown. Little things like that.

Forgot to add, Cable is money for knowing to throw the red challenge flag at the two minute warning down 25 points. He’s one sharp tool in Al’s shed that guy.

  • J Hill

Are we really going to throw a one armed Walker out there?

BCZ, the Titans have a good coaching staff, O-Line and probably the best running back in football … that kicker is pretty good too

QB, WR’s, and defense = terrible

basically, if a team can shut down CJ2K – they win. the Steelers did that. the Raiders & Giants didn’t

    plain & simple

don’t see them even getting to 8-8 this year

    we drafted Kirk Morrison 2.0

if you want to get excited about that, be my guest

could have just kept Capt Kirk, drafted a nose tackle and saved $30 million, but whatever. it’s not my money

and the run defense has been awful for 7 years. I shouldn’t be surprised when we make it 8 …

  • elraid

    Some points on Sundays game:

McFadden carries the ball as the number one back

Gradkowski will have a good day the chemistry between him and Murphy is great as it was last year.

DHB will amke key catches, and will exploit the secondary of Houston which is awful.

Defense comes up big with some blitz packages, listen Schaub is ok, not great and can easily be rattled.

    Raiders will win.

  • elraid

I completely disagree with you regarding McLain, and to compare him to Morrison are you kidding? Much more instinctive and better reacting than Morrison who use to make tackles but constantly blown off the ball.
