  3. GG Says:

Anyone got any early info on whether DHB and Murphy are gonna play for sure or not?

  4. 90806RAIDER77 Says:

Good morning Nation. Should be a beautiful California day for a Raider win. Hope for a good showing from our young men. Go RAIDERS

  5. raidermarty Says:

Can we exploit their crappy pass defense?
I think this is the key to victory- if we can get the wr’s involved early we can set a tone. The problem is DHB and Murphy are questionable. I hope they plan to use McFadden in the slot alot today…..
    GO RAIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope Raiders win, but I am done with thinking that they will. It’s better to be a realist. Raiders have no receivers..How can they win with Ford and Higgins? They can’t.

I’m sick of the same ole crap. Lose, lose, lose, that’s all they ever do.

Even if they play well they’ll come up with some new creative way to blow it at the end. It is as it always is. Last week convinced me of that.

Wow… you say i am not a fan. This post makes you sound feminine…

So its “cool” for you to be a “realist” but when i say i am not upset with the loss i am not a fan???

Also what do you know about JFORD aside his 40 time?

  8. RaidingTexas Says:

I thought blackouts only affected the local area where the game is played. They’re not televising the game here in Texas, either. They always show Texans games here. Unreal.

    Based on what???

  10. Midwest Fan Says:

We’re gonna need both DHB & Murphy in this game. Would like to see Ford used a little bit more on O.

  11. SnB offense defense specialteams Says:

    Bauce,

Post where I can find you in the parking lot. Going to check out that bar Ricky’s before heading over.

Couldn’t sleep last night. Felt like a kid trying to sleep on Christmas Eve!

  12. Just Fire Baby Says:

    SnB,

If I remember correctly, he always says the A lot, 6-7 cars parked together, Bob has a silver Suburban or something like that.

R8eray might be able to help out, he met with them two weeks ago.

  13. Just Fire Baby Says:

We need at least one of DHB and Murphy to play today.

I think we can handle one out, with JLH filling in, but both would Ford or Nick Miller would be starting, which would be craziness.

I don’t think Ford or Miller have got many reps as the #1 WR in practice.

  14. raidermarty Says:

I expect to see Grads play a little better today too. He’s a tough competitor and he will find a way to improve from last week. I do agree with the decision to play him at this time though; let’s ride him a little bit and see where it goes!
    GO RAIDERS!!!!!!!!!!

  15. SnB offense defense specialteams Says:

Thanks JFB….will check out either way.

  16. raiderzmaverick Says:

Might be better if DHB doesn’t play. He’s only catching about 33% of the passes that go his way. Over half of the “misses” from Grads goes towards DHB.

“Heyward-Bey caught only 23 percent of intended passes last year. That’s the lowest rate of any receiver with at least 40 pass targets in the 17 years for which there is data, going back to 1993.”

  17. raiderzmaverick Says:

Murphy caught 6 out of 7 that went his way in the last game.

  18. raiderzmaverick Says:

I’d like to see more of Nick Miller and JLH out there. Might help Grads be more consistent

  19. Thec07 Says:

Now is the time to see if these younsters can play. not sure who is playing where however, if DHB and Murphy cant go, then our backups will have to step in abd step up, they are pros, thats what they get paid to do. JLH is the vet of the group, he will make plays.

  20. Thec07 Says:

I would like to see somm 3 or 4 wide sets. Have yet to see Hue do that…

  21. raidermarty Says:

Kind of curious about Nick Mller myself.
    He IS active today.

  22. Thec07 Says:

We saw JFORD and NMILLER make plays in preseason, they should be able to make plays in realtime. Not sure why they havent seen the field as of yet, both are play makers.

I am not impressed with Hue jack so far…

  23. Just Fire Baby Says:

    You and me both.

Let’s hope he doesn’t try the double-pass play again today.

After losing 4 yards on it the first time in Tennessee, he tried it again last week and lost 7 yards, lol.

DHB is listed as questionable, does anyone know the severity of the injury?

  25. raidermarty Says:

Well I agree those were ill-timed plays that were poorly executed but I do like the fact that he is trying to stay aggressive and trying to change the offensive culture and push the envelope a little bit. I’ll reserve judgement on Hue for a little while longer…..

  26. Just Fire Baby Says:

I don’t think we will know the extent of the injuries to Murphy and DHB until the active list is produced.

  27. Thec07 Says:

Let’s hope he doesn’t try the double-pass play again today.

    ++++++++
Agreed…He should have been getting the yougsters involved in the O just in case we do get injuries, the bakups can step in… Right now hue gets a c-

  28. Thec07 Says:

Has Hue ever ran a 4 wide set?

  29. GG Says:

Louis Murphy (clavicle) plans to play against the Texans on Sunday.
Despite being limited in practice on Thursday and Friday, Murphy is safe to put in lineups. He’s a high-end WR3 in this tasty matchup against the Texans’ struggling secondary.

  30. Raider O Says:

    Good morning Nation.
What’s up Thec, do you like this weather?
I have to agree that I’m not sold on Hue, but he did improve our offense.
DMC is playing better, The WRs have more catches, we are avg 5 more points than last season, but we are not doing that well.
    I give him a C+.

  31. Thec07 Says:

    what up O?

Yes i do like this weather hoe it stays like this all day….

i am not going to put Jack on suicide watch like fassel but he needs to step up his play calling, and using more WR’s. Out youngsters may get some PT today. inexcusible wht they havent seen the field at wide…

  32. SR Raider Says:

With Murphy and DHB banged up, and a bad texans secondary, it has to be Nick Miller time, doesn’t it? Two TD’s today

  33. SR Raider Says:

Just gotta win the turnover battle today

  34. Raider O Says:

    Suicide Watch (LOL):
    Fassel, Sanjay Lal, AND CABLE!!

Our Boy Ford needs to get more involved in the offense.

Right…Thats one of my knocks against Hue..Not playing the youngsters…

  36. Raider O Says:

Ford > N Miller the DB Killer

-Cut N Miller (when our WRs are healthy), H Eugene, S Williams, Rock/ Bennett, and Cooper C.

-On thin ice: Dez Bryant, R Brown, Satele, Mario, and Walker.

  38. Raider O Says:

Ford was a great pick IMO. He didn’t get a lot hype due to him playing with Spiller (who can rush, catch, return, and he was the entire offense).

  51. Thec07 Says:

All extra points go for 2…

  52. Roch R Says:

C’mon Tommy Kelly, we need a big game from you today!!!

    Go Raiders!!

  53. Thec07 Says:

We should either go for it or punt…

Only time i want to sea perch in the game is dufing a kick off after we score a TD…

  54. mistic1 Says:

Hue jack has improved our offense leaps & bounds. Going to a downhill power running scheme was brilliant as dmac was miscast in the zbs running style. We are moving the ball getting 1st downs and have been in position to score. Grads/ campbell have not executed enough to put the points up.

This crap about playing youngsters at receiver… Dhb & murphy are youngsters! Also they are far better options than ford miller & higgins. The only way ford higgins or miller could see the field while dhb and murphy are healthy is if we run 3-4 wide sets. We havent seen that part of hu jaks offense becuase of the severe line issues we ar up against

  55. Just Fire Baby Says:

Maybe our boy Pain McClain will have a little extra juice in his veins after watching his ‘Tide slap around the Gators last night.

  56. r8eray Says:

Thec, thats funny you say that!
Kiffen over at USC does not kick the extra point, he goes for two!

  57. Roch R Says:

I have to come to Seabass’s defence here, one of my favorite things about the Raiders is the fact that we have Lechler and Seabass as out kickers.

Seriously would you rather have Swayze!?!

Seabass had a bad game, so what, what Raider in the last 7 years hasn’t had a bad game!?!

Don’t be so quick to forget that Seabass nailed a 58 yarder in the freezing cold at Cleveland.

As far as kickers go he’s one of the better ones, and he’s a huge pollack that kicks left footed, and plays his kicks like a golf swing, the guy is pure porn!

So IMO get off the hate Seabass wagon while you still have time, because if you’re a Raider fan, at somepoint over the last 7 years you felt pride when that big guy trotted on the field for a 55+ yard field goal, and you know it.

Cut Seabass some slack, he’s a Raider, he’s OUR Kicker.

    Go Raiders, Go Seabass!

  58. mistic1 Says:

We are hurting on the oline, our dtackles are banged up, & our promising young weapons out wide are gimpy,. I dont see how we caj win this game. If grads turns the ball over ( and he probably will) we will lose big.

  59. Roch R Says:

The Raider Recipe for this win is to simply make this a down and dirty football game.

Defence has to step up and have a big game, starting with Tommy Kelly.

Time for our secondary to start grabbing some picks.

The most important thing as usual is to contain the run early, and score early.

Grads, has to lead an opening drive TD, we have to force the Texans to go to the air and play catch up.

The ingredients are there, soft Texan pass defence, A strong D-line even when banged up, and The BEST secondary in football. We have what it takes to win.

But we have to get ahead, and stuff the run early. Simple, but easier said than done.

Grads needs to be our fire.

    Go Raiders.

  60. Just Fire Baby Says:

If grads turns the ball over ( and he probably will) we will lose big.

    *********************************

In all of his starts with the Silver and Black (almost half a season), he has never thrown more than one INT in a game, with a few games without a turnover.

He will be fine, and might outplay Schaub today.

  61. Just Fire Baby Says:

Bruce in a much-win game and the SF Giants play for the playoff, AT THE SAME TIME!!!

About to get real serious for me in about 4 hours.

Of course DHB and LMURPHY are youngsters, you stet the obvious why?

    They are also veterans No?

Who said JOFRD, or NMILLER was a better option that our current starters?

Are you insane, or is it your habit of putting words in peoples mouths…Tell me where i said that? If not you are a liar staight out…

Disagree with your last point als you can still run 3-4 wides, you just need a quick drop and release….

  71. Just Fire Baby Says:

Not many second-half adjustments from Hue last week.

At the same time, I’m sure he would tell you he had his offense in position to win the ballgame, and scored a season-high points while leaving a lot on the table.

  72. Thec07 Says:

    Hue Jack grade C-

  73. djohnnyg Says:

Seabass had a bad game, so what, what Raider in the last 7 years hasn’t had a bad game!?!
    —————————

Yes. players have bad games, but he has had 2 out of the 3 for a team that cannot afford their kicker to miss game winning field goals.

IMO that was possibly a season defining choke job. He demoralized that team. I don’t think people realize what a HUGE loss that was if you are hoping for 8-8 (or better). That was one YOU HAD TO HAVE to get there.

Please, someone share a list of all the game winners Jano has made. I can give u three right off the bat that he’s blown in the final seconds.

    -Jets in 2003
    -Denver a couple yrs. back
    -Last week against Arizona

Granted, he has not had many opportunities in the last seconds to win (or lose) a game, but the chances he has had, he has blown.

He did kick that 63 yarder to win a game in OT against the Jets acouple yrs. ago but no one expected him to make it anyway, therfore NO PRESSURE really.

When the pressure is on, he resorts to he really is an individual: a fat, drunk, failure.

  74. raiderswagga12 Says:

Have we ever been blown out in a game WHEN BRUCE GRADKOWSKI IS THE QB,EXACTLY.lets calm down and take that for what it is,we are at home raidernation, the black hole!.raiders take it 35-21.

  75. mistic1 Says:

    @ thec o7
relax bra none said ford higgins or miller were better options. My point was those giys couldnt get on the field in our two wide set, becuase dhb & murph should not ever be replaced while they are healthy.

Im afraid you are wrong about our offense. It is a 3 wide deep passing game. 1991 redskins with the rypien & the posse. You need to pass protect to get into that part of thw playbook. With out an oline, and a turnover prone qb, we must chip with backs and tight ends. This is why you havnt seen 3 wides yet.

Hu jack had us in position to score, the team has blown the chances.

  76. RaiderRetribution Says:

word on NFL Network this morning, ANdre johnson is very doubtful, Raiders should win by at least two TDs if Andre is out.

  77. mistic1 Says:

Cables o line struggles against 3-4 front, and we are banged up oline, this could get ugly. The raider dline is beat up going against a prolific run offense, not a good mix

  78. jerryburger Says:

909raider do you know if SO CAL cbs is playing the raider game today or do we gotta go to the bar n watch/?!??!!

  79. aig-raiders Says:

Hue didnt have us in position to score. His playcallings sucked. No 2nd half adjustments and we kept on calling the same plays. We kept on dialing for passes in the redzone when we should rely on our best offensive weapon Dmac. We were lucky to have a chance to win that game in spite of Hue Jackson, Mario and Veldheer.

  80. aig-raiders Says:

Man, Pete Carrol got it right with Earl Thomas. The man is a ball hawk.

  81. Just Fire Baby Says:

Earl Thomas, Safety 14th pick in the draft, had two picks and a TD in the preseason, and already 3 int’s this year.

If we could get anything close to that from our Huff we would have been in some good shape the last few years.

  82. Just Fire Baby Says:

Pete Carroll didn’t get it right with that fake though, LOL.

  83. raiders22 Says:

@Adam_Schefter Texans WR Andre Johnson will be inactive today. 6 minutes ago

  84. 909RaiderLifer Says:
