Raiders inactives
By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Sunday, October 3rd, 2010 at 12:06 pm in Oakland Raiders.
Inactive for the Raiders today against Houston are LB Travis Goethel, LB Ricky Brown, G Robert Gallery, DT John Henderson, CB Walter McFadden, CB Jeremy Ware and WR Chaz Schilens.
No players were waived or promoted from the practice squad, and presumably wide receivers Darrius Heyward-Bey and Louis Murphy are good to go.
The most significant absence against the Texans and NFL leading rusher Arian Foster is John Henderson, whose strength is standing his ground against the run. Houston may be even more persistent with the run considering wide receiver Andre Johnson is out with an ankle sprain.
Other Texans inactives: FS Eugene Wilson, LB Darryl Sharpton, LB Kevin Bentley, DE Ryan Denney, WR David Anderson and G Casey Studdard. A linebacker, Isaiah Greenhouse, was added to the roster.

GO RAIDERS!!!
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:16 pm
No AJ means the Texans WILL run it more. Foster hasn’t been doing much of anything, so it is a big game for him too. We need to keep them off the field as much as possible. Tough test for DMac and Bush. But between them we should be able to do some damage. Our Oline needs to hold up when we do have to pass. But having Murphy and DHB will help. Winnable game, now don’t screw it up with something stupid like fumbles and missed FGs. Add penalties to that as well.
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:18 pm
Foster is the leading rusher in the league. What do you mean he “hasn’t been doing much of anything”?
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:18 pm
I’m anxious to see if Henderson actually plays well against Williams. He has before, let’s see. Hopefully it’s not like Orakpo was last season.
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:19 pm
Hopefully not having AJ will allow us to man up on the outside and put 8 in the box.
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:19 pm
Foster hasn’t been doing anything? He leads the NFL in rushing.
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:21 pm

October 3rd, 2010 at 12:22 pm
Man, I am becoming a bradford fan.
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:22 pm
I know, I had a brain fart…
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:23 pm
I like Bradford now that I don’t have to watch him beat my college team any more. He’s got the potential to be a great NFL QB if he can stay healty.
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:23 pm
For the 1st time in many games, Scott didn’t have a neutral zone infraction last week. I am expecting one.
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:25 pm

New England Raider, stop jinx’ing us man with the nightmare penalty shout outs.
“False start # 75 offense 5 yard penalty replay 2nd down ….Offsides #91 defense lined up in the neutral zone 5 yard penalty replay 3rd down”
Tommy Kelly has big day, Super Mario beats Mario.
The screen play that looked soooo good in the Pre-season shows up big time today, watch for some big plays on the screen, and a huge game for DHB.

BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCE!!
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:39 pm
@ aig
we are one of the teams near the top of the nfl with trips inside the redzone. The red zone is scoring positon. So yes hu jack has had us in scoring position.
Also this talk about halftime adjusmenys is bogus. We were in the game and it was close, if its not broken dont fix it.
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:43 pm
Mistic,
I have debunked your dumb a$$ all week. Dont even try with your dumb fantasies. BTW, still waiting on JC’s win/loss recordd from you. I know you will never post it because you know that it will debunk your long term theory again.
Give it up already. Hue sucked last week. You dont call a screen on third down and long on your final must have drive.
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:45 pm
Did we lead the league in Redzone for the first 6 qtrs of the season or from the last 6 qtrs of the seaon? C’mon Mistic. You already know the answer. Hue has been the constant for all 12 qtrs. You know it as well as everyone who is not in denial on here that Grad is the one that moved the ball not Hue and his playcalling.
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:46 pm
Gradkowski has a tendancy to turn the football over, if he does that today we will lose by at least 10.
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:46 pm
gotta run to the local pub. catch y’all on here later. Go Raiders 27-24 Raiders.
October 3rd, 2010 at 12:53 pm
Aig,
what are you talking about… Oh yeah you dont know what your talking about. What does jc’s won loss record have to do with todays game? Yes you do call a screen on third and long, when its a four down situation.
Our offense looks better than it has over the last few years and this without having an nfl starting calibur qb or oline. We have 400 yds twice & 20 first downs twice. Im afraid your argument doesnt hold water. By the way bruce runs the plays hu calls them.
October 3rd, 2010 at 1:03 pm

October 3rd, 2010 at 1:14 pm
Another big run at Trevor Scott’s side.
I’m telling you man, we have no REAL chance with him starting at DE for us. And for him to be matched up against the RT is ridiculous!
October 3rd, 2010 at 1:15 pm

October 3rd, 2010 at 1:16 pm
why is it the raiders can make every QB look like peyton
October 3rd, 2010 at 1:17 pm
We could only hope, Raider75. He’s clearly not fit to be a head coach in the NFL. In fact, he’s clearly not fit to be an OL coach. This guy has no idea what he’s doing.
October 3rd, 2010 at 1:17 pm
u would thinik hue jackazz would call for a screen to dmc like the texans did with slaton
