McFadden inactive, Gradkowski No. 3

By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Sunday, October 17th, 2010 at 11:47 am in Oakland Raiders.

No surprises or miracles. Darren McFadden is inactive for the second consecutive game with a hamstring injury and Bruce Gradkowski was designated as the No. 3 quarterback, meaning Kyle Boller is a play away from seeing action today against the 49ers at Candlestick Park.

It’s rainy and wet _ should be a good game for guys who should be heavy-footed mudders such as Michael Bush.

The bulk of my time during the game will be with a live chat. I’ll try and check back here from time to time at quarter breaks. Be forewarned _ wireless here is supposed to be pretty erratic. We’ll hope for the best . . .

Other Raiders inactives: CB Walter McFadden, RB Michael Bennett, LB Travis Goethel, LB Thomas Howard, DT John Henderson and WR Chaz Schilens.

For the 49ers, inactives are WR Kyle Williams, S Curtis Taylor, TE Delanie Walker, T Barry Sims, G Tony Wragge, T Alex Boone and WR Jason Hill.

Penalties. Bad tackling. It just continues. We have got to get rid of Cable. He just can’t get through to these guys. They need a disciplinarian.

Tom Kelly got blown up on the gore run

  • Thec07

Ro Mac looked like a rookie on that run by gore…

  • Ghost2Post

    hands of stone

  • lefty12

    Kelly was held

  • Guy

seymour was doing good against the double team on that gore run, Kelly thrown aside. Good defense thought except for what should have been a pick. Pass rush looks nice

  • Just Fire Baby

Rich Gannon = Rolando McClain fan

  • Guy

Lol why was DHB covering Gore?

  • RaidingTexas

After all that, at least they got the stop. This only works against bad teams, though. You can’t do this against the Pats and Colts and expect their drives go out with a whimper.

  • Carl Weathers

    Nice to see pressure early!

  • beach

Good pressure up front! Keep it up for 60 minutes!

  • Thec07

Ro mac should have made that play on the gore run, he was completely out of place….the run went right where he should have been…Rookie mistake…

  • Thec07

DONT WANTTO SEE THE DOUBTERS POSTING DUMB SH1T TODAY LIKE LAST GAME SOUNDING LIKE A BUNCH OF WOMEN

  • Roch R

    Rich Gannon: “…nice…”

  • Roch R

  • Guy

Bush better not be hurt too badly. I think our only other back is Cartwright

  • RaidingTexas

Zach Thomas and Shawne Merriman didn’t make those mistakes as rookies, though. Not that I ever saw. I hope Ro gets it together. I hate to think another top 10 pick . . .

  • lefty12
