Status quo on injuries

By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Friday, October 29th, 2010 at 10:55 am in Oakland Raiders.

No surprises as the Raiders finished warmups, drills and a special teams session Friday in preparation for the Seattle Seahawks, with Bruce Gradkowski doing some light throwing but nothing that would indicate he would be able to resume his role as the starting quarterback.

Cornerback Chris Johnson, who hadn’t been cleared Thursday from a concussion, was on the field, as he was the previous day, when he ended up not practicing.

The only three absences were defensive tackle John Henderson (stress fracture), and wide receivers Louis Murphy (lung contusion) and Chaz Schilens (knee).

More to come later . . .

He’s not even THAT good, he just looks better than he is because of the zero competition we have on this team at wide receiver. Our Tight End can make every catch that guy can, in traffic, and here’s the kicker….not get hurt for two freakin years while doing so!!!!
Next years draft we need to obviously target some OT’s perhaps a corner and a safety, and bring someone in who resembles Hakeem Nicks, or Brandon Marshall, or Mario Manningham. Chaz is a poor mans version of those guys, which is fine, but I can barely remember even seeing this wuss play!? You can’t make the club in the tub dude, and with the rate this guy resides in the tub, I am going to assume he has freakin gills by now.

Not that hard to believe really. He is a GREAT prospect in MMA, but that was only his 7th fight at ANY level of professional fighting. No surprise that a seasoned vet like Cain beat him. Hell, I was more surprised that Brock was able to fight for a full 2 minutes after Cain turned the lights out. Did you happen to see the video of the Undertaker trying to start something as Brock left the cage… THAT was priceless.

I just get really frustrated because everyone HATES Brock because he wrestled in the WWE… Who cares. His familys farm was nearly in forclosure so when Vince offered him a Million a year he took it. He also got out immediately upon fullfilling his obligation to the WWE.

Nnamdi will get tested against Williams this week. He will not be able to man handle him like other WR’s. This is like Vincent Jackson vs Nnamdi. The key is will Hassleback be like Rivers and throw it on the back shoulder and allow Williams to duke it out with Nnamdi.

McFadden’s 2 years of injury are not = to Chaz’s IMO. DMC got hurt in GAMES, Chaz’s have all been playing tiddlywinks on the practice field….
Anyway, I realize that Chaz is getting paid peanuts, but Drex is right, even the Cable guy is like WTF with this guy. I played the game, I know what its like to be hurt, (and be behind a terrible Oline) but don’t think for a second that some of these coaches aren’t about sick to death of the Chaz saga. Everyone is putting it all on the line and this whimp is breathing through his gills..

Who lives in MA? It’s rough being out here and have to deal with the non stop Pats Jets and Giants talk! People ask me why Im a Raiders fan and not a Pat’s fan. It’s obvious I tell them. I’m 38 and when I started watching Football the Pat’s sucked. They played games that the score reflected 6-3 and niether team played good Defense. They were NEVER televised. Every week it was the Silver and Black …#32 Marcus Allen JUMPING over mountains of would be tacklers for first downs and touch downs. Ive bled Silver and Black since I was kid! Thank God for an understanding wife(who happens to be a huge Pats fan) and Sunday NFL Ticket!

    Not at all RRS.

Dude is bizarre.. Like I said, two weeks ago, I was agreeing with the guy, and he snaps on me, like my post said the opposite of what it did.

He is just so off with everything. I insult NE fans, and he says I insulted raider fans.

He threw out an example of MM missing a tackle. I rebutted with a post solely meant to imply that all defensive players miss tackles by saying our best defensive player even misses tackles.. So that means I am comparing the two of them, and their abilities… MM is no where near as good as 21..

If I were comparing the two, wouldn’t it be more like… MM hits harder than 21, or 21 covers better than MM.. Know what I mean? There is no comparison between the two, and I can almost swear I stated such.

Then he asks to end, I oblige, and he fires it back up again..

Not a sign of my previous diagnosis of a bi-ploar, paranoia fuled, schizophrenic, is there..

And just because I don’t post here often, I am here everyday, and the guy had legitimate reading comprehension issues.

How else do you explain it when you completely agree with something someone said, and they in turn tell you how wrong you are… That alone tells me the guy, at least upstairs, is softer than a wet jelly donut.

Not saying “I” personally dont like it. But I was trying to figure out why the coaches wanted him gone. I’m starting to speculate that it may be his attitude. I like the guy dont get me wrong. He was the only guy I wanted for last year’s draft. So far he has not disappoint since the whiff against the Cards.

Hill, now it’s I said it reminded me of “bandwagoners”

Well at least your moving in the right direction.. before I called everyone “bandwagoners”..

you’re getting better Hill. keep up the good work.

And yes I said you put words in my mouth, you did, didn’t you?

but only when he is not misconstruing posts, putting words into people’s mouths,

You mean only of Friday before Halloween when I ask you to clarify a post?

Again, YOU said you may be guilty of wording it wrong….

DISCLAIMER – or something to that effect!

How can it be miscontrued if even the author thinks it MAY need to be worded differently.

And I reposted your post from this morning with the word bandwagon in it if YOU need to reread it.

And to me, and I’m sure a lot of other people, if YOUR answer to MM34 missing a tackle is Nnamdi missing many tackles (I assume your opinion is he missed more than one tackle diving – sad that I need to do all this clarification now, eh) I fail to see how that is not comparing the 2 players. Maybe I do need a refresher in reading comp. Help me out, will ya?

I’m still waiting for you to clarify how Gardowski “put the entire team on his back”, while Murphy and his 2 TDs (which you left out, lol) had nothing to do with it.

Also, if you get a minute, let me know if you’re still stuck on how Gardowski left points on the board.
    ————–

this is exactly what New England was complaining about in an earlier post. You are the king of twisting other people’s words….

    1. Grad in Pitt. If the QB is going to throw for a big day, who is going to catch his balls….himself? If you look at that game where our running game was no where near last Sunday. Anyone with a common sense would say that the QB had a great day. If the QB is having a great day throwing the ball, one would hope that one of his receivers would be catching his balls too. My original post was that Grad had a good day but your dubma$$ tried to reduce it by saying Murphy was a big contributor. No Schytt. Tell me one great QB that didnt have a good WR to match up to him. Who the fck is going to catch the balls? Grad 300 yds 3 tds. Murphy 120 yds 2 TDs. Who the fck carried the day?

    2. How Grad left points on the board, you claimed I said. Are you an effin moron? My original post was about Jason Campbell leaving points on the board against SD when he inherited a great Nick Miller return to SD’s 46 yd line and went 3 and out.

All you’ve just done is backed up exactly what New England Raider was saying about you. You defended JC all week against me only to say later you frickin hate him later. You are really bipolar.

    Hill

I am not getting in to a pissing contest with you.. You’re just reaching now. You have proven to us all, just how simple you really are. You have problems following along, have problems sticking by your own guns, and actually make little to no sense. Have a good day Hill, I have to go get my B1tch from work… Keep on imagining things, twisting words, and being softer than a wet jelly donut.

And before you go off on it again…

I didn’t compare 21 to 34. I simply offered a an example of players missing tackles. chose one of our players thinking maybe it would be more familiar to you, and you go on a rant about how I am comparing 21 to 34.

Again Hill and for the last time, there is no comparison between the two, and having said that, I have a hard time believing I would compare the two.

21>34 can ever be, GOT IT?
