What it showed the Raiders is how much they have to up their game. They were coming off a bye, a week in which they took first place in the AFC West by doing nothing. They had won 3 in a row and I'm sure they were feeling pretty good about themselves. Pitt on the other hand had just had their heads handed to them and had lost last year to Oakland. Which team do you think was more motivated? Oakland's loss tells them we have a long way to go and that we have to be more physical and intense. The thing I found most surprising was their inability to take advantage of the patched up offensive line of Pittsburgh. I thought for sure they would get a lot of pressure going after the left side of the O-line. The team as a whole looked flat and uninspired. Playing football at 10 a.m. our time has an effect, as does a two week layoff. They're one game out of first and have to play the entire AFC West again.
