Gradkowski re-injures shoulder

Quarterback Bruce Gradkowski re-injured his throwing shoulder in a 33-17 loss to the Miami Dolphins and rendered the Raiders’ quarterback issue meaningless for at least the next few weeks.

Gradkowski said it felt much like it did after the San Diego game, a third-degree separation which cost him five weeks.

Raiders coach Tom Cable said after the game the plan was always to go back to Gradkowski once he was completely healthy.

Much more to come later . . .

    ——————–

No haterade from me. I’m right there with you. I was nearly banned for suggesting a few weeks ago that we trade him for a high draft pick next April. He is good but overrated, and I would dump him to get a chance at a franchise QB.

If Nnamdi is considered an “elite” corner in the NFL, it’s only because there’s a lack of talent at the position league-wide. It’s all relative, right?

The problem is that he’s paid too much and nobody would take him at that salary. The Raiders would need to offer another player and/or cash to equalize the trade.

This team can’t get better until the HC is allowed to take players to the wood shed for a good old fashion ass kicking. As Al will never let that happen, the best we can hope for is to occasionally stumble onto mediocrity.

cable record as a head coach…25-59…the fact that we suck is no surprise. Cable is a buffoon, but no one else wanted the job

    —————

No one else wanted the job and cable has done what he can. He is a players coach and has done a good job. Season ain’t over yet. They will bounce back. Cable inherited a dysfunctional heap of chaos with no work ethic. He has not transformed them overnight, but there has been progress. Slow, but progress. If he or Al or the gm can put together a decent o-line, get a long term qb, they will be ok. A lot of the pieces are in place.

Something happened today, can’t put my finger on it, but some type of cancerous activity is permeating the compound, and I don’t feel it is coming from the players or coaches. AIG may be spot on here. When the organization rolls out the OC to announce or explain decisions regarding players, that may undermine the head coach, and it filters on down to the players. As a player, you look to your HC for leadership, no matter who it is. Lose that, and the team suffers.

Looks like our third place position in the division is about to be solidified. San Diego is clicking late in the season . . . right on schedule. Peyton is getting schooled by the Chargers secondary.

I will NOT be watching another Raider game this year.

I hope that next year we can be better. This year is over.

    ————

Tried it many times and failed miserably myself. Gonna be brutal next week. 3 weeks already and no wins. This game may have marked the end of Cable as well.

I’ve done it before. It helps that I don’t live anywhere near Northern Cal. I have to watch games online which I will NOT be doing the rest of the year.

Watching the Raiders play now is like watching a slow death. They are done for the year and will be mailing it in the rest of the way. I don’t need to see it. I will check the scores and jump on the blog every now and then to see what’s up but I need this garbage. I’ve seen Raider teams quit before and I’m sick and tired of it.

I hope they do some things to improve the team so next year they’ll be better, but I don’t need this c.rap.

Conspiracy theorist abound. When ever we lose this stuff gets started if we’re winning you don’t hear it. We just loss 2 games that’s all we”re dealing with IMO your own dismay is taking your mind on a freeride.

Relax breath we’re just not good enough yet to win consistently. We have to solve the QB problem on this team and the rest will follow.

But I think it’s definitely time to start Bruce Campbell at RG and Mario at RT. We’re just not very physical at the point of attack.

This is a decent team. Just need to get a QB and another receiver to pair with “Ford”….

As for Bruce and JC…they are what they are. You can’t expect to win with 2nd hand QBs with limited ability. You can wish it and hope for it…but we all know what a real QB plays like.

Too bad JaDavis didn’t humble his punk azz and take a pay cut and try to learn something from the bench for a year.

Anyway, Al Davis has to go back to drawing board and try to find a competent QB whether in the draft or another spin of the wheel in free agency.

I don’t dispute that, but Al also likes brilliant offensive minds (fancying himself as the defensive genius who needs the offensive foil) and Hue is doing nothing to show that he is even inventive, let alone a leader of men. A cheerleader, yes; a real leader, no.

I just finished watching the game on tape…..

No way Gradkowski should have played today, you don’t have to be an NFL coach to see that he wasn’t 100% or maybe I had forgotten just how terrible of a duck Grads used to throw.

Underthrows and poor accuracy all day, ALL DAY CABLE!

And what the heck is going on with our secondary!?! Yeah, you can say the rookie McFadden got lit up, but everytime they stacked recievers on us we look like the keystone cops! Blown assignments everywhere.

But the “stinky poo” ball has to go to Marcel Reese! Yeah you have made some great catches this year, but everytime you block it looks like your trying to dance with the guy!

Why has our running game suddenly started to look horrible?? There has been absolutely no push off the line of scrimmage, and Reese gets shed like a blow up doll gets tossed.

Wow, I guess being tied for first place after the bye week … (at 5-4) was good enough for this team.

It’s like the offense has completely disappeared.
