Ware among inactives

By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Sunday, November 28th, 2010 at 12:01 pm in Oakland Raiders.

Raiders inactives Sunday are CB Jeremy Ware, RB Michael Bennett, CB Chris Johnson, G Daniel Loper, WR Chaz Schilens, WR Nick Miller and Jarvis Moss.

Ware and Miller are surprises. Could mean Walter McFadden slides into the nickel role, with Johnnie Lee Higgins returning punts.

And get this _ no changes to the starting lineup, which includes Jason Campbell as the starter.

Heading to the live chat now for the next hour . . .

Is anyone else watching the Falcons-Packers game? Watch RG Harvey Dahl of the Falcons get down the field and block for his running back.

I’m not sure who brought him up as a possible FA signing, but I’m glad they did. This guy looks like a big-time player, and would be a massive upgrade over Carlisle.

    WHAT???

  • YoungAmerican

PFT is reporting Gradkowski “officially” got the call.

  • YoungAmerican

    Something is amiss here.

  • Just Fire Baby

    LOL!!!

Man Jason might here some serious boo’s if he strolls into the first huddle

    That can’t be right, lol!

Gardowski guys are going to tear some shyyytttt up!

  • YoungAmerican

This is going to be interesting.

  • Just Fire Baby

Nick Miller has progressively gotten worse returning punts, and good to see him get a blow of accountability for mindlessly fair-catching a punt at the 4.

    NYG losing.

  • mistic1

    Lefty,

i cant follow your post at all. It cant be about the qb, they have both struggled. The one constant this year is piss poor pass protection. Cable has had two years to upgrade the front and has failed miserably.

Im not sure why you posted a list of qb’s i dont see what they have in common. Im not a fan of some of those guys at all.

You are stuck on jc vs grad. I would rather look at the real issues, its not qb

Which is why it was a good idea to start Gardowski. To have the coliseum boo every incomplete pass isn’t going to help the situation.

I doubt it. There won’t be enough fans at the game to make that kind of noise.

Campbell listed as starter, need to change my score prediction:

    Oakland 9
    Miami 7

    With BG:
    Oakland 41
    Miami 10

  • RAIDER KID

how are you supposed to complete a pass if u have no time in the backfield??? offensive line needs to step up.

  • Just Fire Baby

Walter McFadden might see the field a bit today, should be interesting because I thought he looked good in his brief preseason appearances.

    Ware was torched last week.

  • raidermarty

    Well this should be interesting……

  • J Hill

    JFB,

Are you watching the Pitts/Buff game?

You can’t tell me the Oline play for Buff isn’t making a difference.

  • YoungAmerican

Yeah Ware really looked like a 7th round pick last week. Hopefully McFadden steps up.

  • RaiderDebo

Fitzpatrick is a badass!! I want to see the Steelers go down so bad.

  • Lowdown_in_Beijing

My List of Raiders’ QBs I wished death upon while off the field/not during a game:

    Marinovich
    Jay Schroeder
    Mark Wilson
    Tui
    Aaron Brooks
    Hobert
    Jeff George
Paris Hilton…not a Raider, just wish her slow death.

  • Just Fire Baby

    Just turned it on, J.

Fitzpatrick is miles better than anything we have.

Im listening to Raider pregame and they are saying Bruce is starting!! what is it jerry??

jerrymac: I’m sure he is starting. But Raiders P.R. is sitting right behind me and saying `no change.’ They like to be difficult

    ********************************

    Mickey-mouse BS

  • J Hill

I won’t argue with that, but his Oline is giving him time against that D we faced last week.

I’m noticing Cornbread is not at RT for the Bills. Did he get cut already?

  • http://www.beyonceonline.com/us/home DaRayduh

JFB-I saw that too. Absolute nonesense.

  • RaidingTexas

    Lowdown, you forgot Daunte Culpepper.

Bruce better start…I just picked up Murphy in my FFL!! And I’m starting him!

  • 89052RAIDER

how many catches will DHB have this week? I am saying 2-12.

  • Just Fire Baby

Cornbread was IR’d a few weeks back.

    LMFAO.

    What’s the point?

  • RaiderRobG

WTF Chaz Schilens? What happened to a week 5-6 return?

  • Lowdown_in_Beijing

    RT,

    my bad. I am human.

That list could keep Tanya Harding in business for years.

Is the bye week killing you at WR this week? I can’t imagine why anyone would want to start a Raiders WR.

  • Lowdown_in_Beijing

    RRG,

Schillens got hurt going back for seconds…

  • buckeyeraider

    ‘Sup fellas.
Did you guys see Fred Jackson take a screen pass 65 yds to the house vs. Pittsburgh?

Did the Raiders try that last week to counter Steeler blitzes? Not really. None to McFadden or Bush. One Hot Potato to Reece that ricocheted off his hands for INT.

Hue called a clunker last week just like he did against SF. Same damn game plan, seemingly.

Oh well. Time to look ahead. Back to a more aggressive offense, hopefully. Get DMac and Bush rollin, to begin with.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

No question the OL is playing a big part. Being at home helps the line out too. But Fitzpatrick is becoming one of my favorite players. No rah rah BS. He just goes out and gets it done.

  • Just Fire Baby

    Fitzgerald is a Harvard graduate.

He probably studies the phsyciological effects on when and how to rally the troops and infuse leadership when needed.

  • 187killa

did anyone catch the andre johnson vs cortland finnegin smackdown?

  • Lowdown_in_Beijing

    Buckeye,

seems forever since we ‘established the run game’.

    run for 2 yrds.

    drop pass

    drop pass

    punt.

    repeat

  • Just Fire Baby

Aaron Rodgers representing the Butte College Roadrunners proudly.

  • PurpleDrank81

    Jacksonville is no joke

  • RaiderDebo

No clue about Fitzgerald, but Fitzpatrick has figured out that the best way to rally the troops and infuse leadership is by making plays. Kelsay needs to get on the juice.

  • Just Fire Baby

Wow!! Just saw the Finnegan-Johnson throwdown.

I think Johnson will get suspended for that last uppercut.

  • RaidingTexas

187, they just showed a replay of it on CBS. Funny stuff. They were going at it.

  • PurpleDrank81

    Who won the tussle

  • J Hill

    1st time offender = 25k fine.

  • 187killa

AJ beat his ass lol…these announcers on that game are hillarious, making boxing jokes

i think its ian eagle and dan fouts

  • RaidingTexas

Oh, that Finnegan-Johnson thing reminds me . . . I found the perfect pause point on NFL Rewind from last week’s game:

  • Plunketthead

Andre Johnson just did a number on Finnegan.

    Courtland is a dirty punk

  • buckeyeraider

    Purple,
I would say it went to Johnson by TKO. Pretty good little scuffle.

Hope the Raiders come out today with some controlled aggression. They looked very tentative, almost passive last week.
Which is almost sacrilege for an Oakland Raider team.
