FORD SEEMS TO BE THE ONLY ONE WHO SHOWS SIGNS OF LIFE WHEN THE GAME ISN’T GOING OUR WAY! THE REST OF THE TEAM NEEDS TO WAKE UP AND UNDERSTAND THAT IT’S NOT EVERY GAME THAT’S IMPORTANT, IT’S EVERY SINGLE DOWN! I ONLY PLAYED FOOTBALL FOR 4 YEARS AT THE POP WARNER LEVEL AND 4 YEARS AT THE HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL BUT IF YOU ASKED ME WHAT THE SCORE WAS AT ANY POINT DURING ANY OF THOSE GAMES I PLAYED IN, I WOULDN’T KNOW! I PLAYED EACH AND EVERY DOWN, OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE, LIKE IT WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT DOWN OF THE GAME! THAT’S THE WAY EVERYONE IN THE NFL SHOULD PLAY, BUT MY ONLY CONCERN IS THE RAIDERS, SO THAT’S WHAT I EXPECT FROM THEM! THAT’S HOW THEY PLAYED DURING THE 70′S AND 80′S AND IT WAS FROM WATCHING THEM THAT I LEARNED TO PLAY THE WAY I DID! COME ON GUYS, GET YOUR HEADS UP AND GO OUT THERE THIS WEEK IN PRACTICE LIKE YOU WANT TO PLAY AND PLAY LIKE YOU WANT TO WIN! EVERY PLAY COUNTS!

I applaud Jerry for calling out Cable like that on the QB issue. Cable started pouting and getting sarcastic, like a mini version of a Mike Singletary press conference meltdown,lol…

My guess is that, after the 3-game win streak, Al Davis tried to big-foot the credit for it. There were 2 national stories on him prior to the Pitt game. And the “Leak” he wanted Campbell to play came out.

He became enamoured with new toy Jacoby Ford. In the Pitt game, they returned to conservative play-calling with deep-sideline passes, to no avail. (Davis style)

The Miami game 16 rushing plays, with again, emphasis on Jacoby Ford, deep.

Now there’s counter-productive controversy in the locker rm about the back and forth QB situation, and who’s the boss.

#132. Exactly. Poor Walter McFadden. The rookie was making his first appearance of the season due to injury. He was a mark out there.

I thought the defense played fairly well actually, until they wore out completely. Due in part to the offenses total ineptness, and their own inability to get off the field on third down.

The reason they couldn’t get off the field on 3rd down was because they had an achillles heel. #22..Walter McFadden. Miami found it and exploited it continuously. Whoever McFadden was covering bam. Didn’t matter if it was 3rd and 8, whatever. They found the mismatch and exploited it.

And Oakland was helpless to counter it or fix it in any way. Frickin unbelievable.
