Gradkowski says he’s not done yet

By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Wednesday, December 1st, 2010 at 12:27 pm in Oakland Raiders.

Raiders quarterback Bruce Gradkowski confirmed a third degree separation to his right shoulder Wednesday but said he still hopes to play this season.

“I don’t see the season being over for me yet,” Gradkowski said. “I mean, I’m not going to go down yet. I’m just going to keep preparing, just keep rehabbing. But I’m thinking a couple of weeks and get back. If we can make a run here, keep doing well in our division, I think we’ll be all right.”

Gradkowski said the diagnosis wasn’t much different than it was after the first Chargers game, when the injury cost him five weeks. He said third-degree separations don’t necessarily mean surgery and noted it “seems like my shoulder is still strong to where if I just let it heal right, I’ll be all right.”

More to come . . .

It is common in football to refer to a team as the head coaches team.

    ……………..

    Yes it is.

    Thank you.

Grads was horribly late on that INT on the goalline. I was sitting on the 20, and pretty much the whole section was screaming at him to throw the ball about 2 seconds before he did. Then, he threw it at the goalline. where Ford had to wait for it. Either put it at the 5, or the back pylon. Pretty much the play of the game. I was a Bruce guy until Sunday, but he created this mess as much as Cable with his lobbying and trying to play hurt and be the hero.

Also, to all the people who said Scott sucks, our d-line wore down without his depth. Sho-nasty has never played that many snaps and it showed. Run d was alright though, it would have been much less yardage if we could have got off th field on 3rd down.

If Scott wasnt on the active roster, and neither was J Moss, and neither was Ware or CJ, who the heck was active? Seems like there were some curious deactivations on Sunday.

DeboGlen, you left out the kicker on my post which was that Cable is a FK’n moron.

    A classic OakGlen/Seymour move…lol

Our defense had it rough this past sunday. They didnt sustain a drive longer than 4 plays until the final 2 mins. And that drive was 7 plays.

are we gonna be satisfied with HJackson taking over for The Cable Guy next year?

There are definitly stronger candidates out there. but would anybody truly covet the position?

Im of the opinion that any candidate that would be an essentially unanimous upgrade (Jim Harbaugh for example)is not going to want to work under Al and inherit a team with so many glaring holes

id rather give the system time to evolve under Cable and Hue at OC..if we change now, it is conceding another 3-4yrs in rebuild mode. and opening up a # of personnel issues

Cable’s contract is up after this season.

What I can’t see is giving that guy another 3 year contract. What has he really done to deserve that?

Not looking forward to Hue as a HC either unless he admits that he is a total idiot lake Haley in KC and hires some real coordinators to clean up his mess.

yea i def dont want to give him 3 years, but i wouldnt be opposed to signing him to a one yr ext, and taht will at least get us through the uncertainty of the lockout

  • RaiderRockstar

Bruce is just a distraction at this point for us

    ***

Agreed with Jmack, just place BG on I.R. and sign Joey Harrington to be the 3rd string “emergency” QB

    call it a wash

Does anyone think gradkowski is being paid by someone too sabotage are season?

  • MikieG

    1.Do our QB’s suck? Yes
2.Does our O-Line have Monstrous Holes? Yes

Take care of #2 and you end up fixing #1…Any QB in this league can work over a defense if given this little known commodity called T-I-M-E……………..~!
