McClain still watching

By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Thursday, December 9th, 2010 at 10:31 am in Oakland Raiders.

No apparent change as the Raiders completed warmups and drills Thursday, with middle linebacker Rolando McClain a spectator while resting a sore left foot.

McClain was not wearing protective boot, as he was Wednsday, but was not participating in the walk-through session. It also looked as if safety Hiram Eugene (ribs) was also sitting it out. Defensive end Jarvis Moss, who got in for the final two snaps against San Diego, was watching defensive linemen go through drills with his right hand wrapped.

Cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha was on the field, although it remains to be seen how much work he’ll get it. Wide receiver Chaz Schilens is going through drills with receivers.

Columnist Monte Poole takes a look at Jason Campbell and the importance of the last four games to his future as the Raiders quarterback.

Beat writer Steve Corkran examines coach Tom Cable’s promise to stay grounded.

The Raiders remain on their earlier practice schedule to prepare for an East Cast time zone. All interview sessions will take place after practice, instead of before practice.

More to come later . . .

It would take him a minimum of three years to rebuild a team. He would be over 70 years old.
How many 70 year old coaches have there been in the NFL?

Bring Martys old sorry arse to Denver. I would welcome it.

Kell, good point. Mistic was lecturing to us yesterday about how the Raiders are a run/play action team. Interesting one of the Raiders’ offensive linemen would criticize the excessive passing attempts if that’s the case. Why would a running team pass the ball so much? Why would a lineman of a running team feel they had to “get back” to the run? Good eye. You’re on to these guys, Kell. That’s why they hate you.

It’s a lot more fun reading hateful posts about the President then being the one writing them as I did from 2000-2008

So go ahead and cry, complain and look like a tea bagger while I LMAO reading your hateful posts

  • Plunketthead

Someone else pays the Presidents lawyer bills?

You say some mighty stupid things rmr but Soros paying lawyer fees for the President of the US may top them all.

I think the President is hiding something.
Otherwise he would release all his records and school transcripts like other politicians do.

    I would be bragging

  • Plunketthead

I agree he was a great coach.

I just think theres a point where man is too old to do stuff like be a head coach in the NFL.

I would take my chances that he cant do it again is all I am saying

    Plunk,

how bad does Denver really need to be rebuilt?

Thier offense is pretty good. The defensive front seven is ok, but will improve when they get Dumervil back. Wink Martindale is a joke at DC. We remember how incompetent he was as our LB Coach!

I would blow up that secondary and draft some young studs there. trade Bailey & Dawkins for whatever draft picks you can get

Marty could have them back in 1 offseason.

Look what Weis & Crennel did for KC!

  • Silver-and-black666

BO is a 2 term President so you might as well get in line with it….there is no way he will lose in 2012

    1. There is no one who could legitimately challenge him
    2. The economy will be much better in 2012 weather it is because f his efforts or not
    3. When the economy is strong people will NOT want a change
    4. The American people are still sick of corporate greed

  • Plunketthead

Besides, Dungver is a total mess.
Raiderfan should erect statues of Josh, take them to the Coli when the mules come to town and pay fake homage to it.

I personally hope Denver opts for somebody like Gary Kubiak, Urban Meyer or that unqualified interim coach Eric Studesville …

Cowher, Gruden or Schottenheimer ??? NO WAY!

I would be concerned, to say the least.

  • Silver-and-black666

Think about it…if the president was born somewhere else don’t you think that hospital would make a claim by now. It takes small brain to concoct such ridiculous rumors….I guess listening to Rush Limbaugh does kill brain cells

Urban Meyer to coach the team that drafted his lover Tim Tebow…… I can see that

But a 81 year old, non-ambulatory, catheterized General Manager with a losing record for the lst 20 years is ok?

  • Plunketthead

I am going on all the crazy moves made since Josh got there. He gave away all the stars.

You can only restock for so long and I am betting that all those bad moves keep them in the doghouse for a few years.

I also think the only reason there are winning at all is because of Ortens passing skills. Skills he has never displayed before.

Look at our teams from the past seven years. You could say the same thing about us (except for having a QB like Orten) we had some skill players and looked good on D now and then but we have just now and just barely crawled out of the sewer.

I think he was born in the States. I just wish he would show his BC and put an end to it.

By the way, no hospital has made the claim that he was born there. Its one of the whackos contentions, that usually hospitals are real proud of it when P’s are born there but Hawaii hospitals make no such claim to fame.

Plunkethead, I was being facetious about Soros. He’s one of the big money liberals that the mouth foaming right hates so much. My point was that just because someone is paying legal fees it doesn’t mean they’re guilty. If I were in the president’s shoes I would pay whatever it took to make sure I wasn’t treated any differently than previous presidents.

Which brings me to my next point. No president has ever been asked to show their birth certificate outside of their home state. I admire the President for not allowing himself to be the first just because vocal haters of his are demanding him to.

The timing of the birther movement is quite suspect, too. I’m sure the fringe believers started it years ago, but the minions like Luke Scott didn’t jump on until The President won the election. Just another desperate Hail Mary to change the results that they just can’t deal with, that this country unanimously wanted him to be president over John McCain and the grizzly woman.

I don’t believe for one second that RRS is at work when he leaves comments here. No job would put up with that, and no self employed person would be able to stay in business spending that much time online. If he does work, he works nights, when he’s not on here.

Anyway, back to my point. Amy Trask thinks the stadium is the reason the Raiders haven’t sold out games in recent years. She might be the dumbest CEO in America.

    ———————————————-
Oh, Amy! Height of cynicism. She doesn’t even believe this, just deflecting attention from the poor product her boss has put on the field for the past seven years. And undoubtedly setting the stage to extort new stadium funds from Alameda County.
