The Raiders kept their AFC West playoff hopes alive with a 39-23 win over Tim Tebow and the Broncos Sunday. Jerry McDonald lost his internet connection at the Coliseum, which is why he hasn’t posted an item himself. He’s on his way to the locker room for post-game interviews now, so look for his posts a bit later.

Hue Jackson gets a lot of credit this season. We now have an offense for the first time in 8 seasons. Hopefully, we can finish 9-7. I expect the Chiefs to win the division.

Unlike the last 7 years – this is the kind of game we would have folded in the 2nd half. Not this year. They came out and dominated the 4th qtr when it mattered.

Sucks were gonna be undefeated in the division and not win it. Gosh those games we lost early just plain and simple suck. But man after last eight yrs I’ll take this season and build on it. Imagine how bad are o would be without ford, dmac, Reece, miller, bush, I could go on. Are recievers are fine every catch they make has to be almost spectacular. Campbell just isn’t that accurate and just throws a bad ball. Props to my man mcclain good game. Sucks TO is out for season thought they would have a shot. Nice win dmac ur a workhorse. Sweeeeeeet.

It still concerns me how average/below-average passers pick on Routt. But that’s what the draft and FA are for.

Seriously though. The Teabow lovefest has to end. Today was absolutely ridiculous. The guy had a decent game ..a great game running for a QB but an awful (and lucky at the same time) game passing as a QB. That won’t cut it in the NFL. He’s no Mike Vick …to darn slow. He can’t pass. He probably won’t last in the NFL.
Just another glorified nobody who hasn’t done anything in the big leagues.

The Broncos couldn’t run the ball today because the Raiders showed no respect for their ability to throw it.
Stack the box, play the run hard and make The Anointed One beat you with his arm. Pretty much everyone except Gus Johnson knew it would work.

How to beat colts. Rush four all game have safetys sit back do not blitz manning he will
kill you. They don’t run the ball well today was a fluke. Manning will throw the ball about 60 times. Rout and Johnson need to have games of there lives. It’s gonna be tough.

Hey I hope Bruce Campbell is ready to start and dominate next season as a RG. I will be happy to be wrong on that one.
But the guy is in the mix with the Loper’s and Jeremy Ware’s of the world. Inactive and on the outside looking in.
No doubt this team will not pass on a LEGIT guard prospect because of Bruce Campbell in the draft.

It wasn’t even all that great. When you watch the highlights or replay, watch that “Denver record 40 yard QB touchdown run”. HUGE uncalled holding penalty. It was in plain sight of the camera. I guess not the refs, though. The play should have been nullified.

Huff is a big upgrade over what we’ve had here (Anthony dorsett, Gibson, Stuart) and should be kept.
Don’t assume it can’t get worse.

We can beat the Colts. Their run D is bad and the weather will be nasty again. We will need to dominate time of possession and get some points on Special Teams and hope the Titans and Bengals play well. This time next week we could be in the driver seat for the division. When is the last time fans could talk about that this time of year?

Raiding Texas, plenty doesn’t mean anything. It’s about the majority of the consumer base. It’s obvious where they stand, and in all sports. Even basketball. Look at the lower deck of any NBA game and you don’t see much diversity.

This would be the right idea. Get Champ a lucrative short-term deal.
The CB position is a weak link on this defense…which is surprising given the investments over the years. But with Nnamdi on one side…the other guy is going to get picked on…
Routt has not gotten the job done and he also has missed some big tackles.
See Nnamdi take down Tebow…then replay Routt blowing the tackle that led to a 70 yard run last week.
Cornerback is priority. Free agency or use that 2nd round pick

The Raiders should either pick up FA CB Jonathan Joseph from the Bengals, or offer Champ Bailey a 2-year deal with incentives. Or use the 2nd round pick in the event that a CB capable of contributing right away falls in their lap.

Yeah, they are better than they play but they are just too darn inconsistent. Part of that falls on coaching …part of it falls on players
Campbell has been playing good ball lately; but absolutely terrible ball at the beginning of the season. That was a major factor.
And outside of the division the team has clearly stunk which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense considering SD and KC beat those same teams.

Kind of bittersweet to think of beating the Chiefs week 17 to allow the Dolts into the playoffs.
I think we will all be hating Seabass all offseason, as I don’t see the Dolts losing one of these last two games.

JHill-in all those game the play of the QB was subpar.There are going to be breakdowns in every game.The good teams overcome them.When our QB is subpar,we can’t ;when he isn’t we can.Again today is a perfect example.3 turnovers in the 1st half,letting Tebow run for the TD,the whiff by Routt-all breakdowns.

Raiders can win with JC. Better off letting him get comfortable with the system and move forward. The Raiders are TERRIBLE at developing QBs. Let Hue Jackson work with JC…..30+ in last 3 games…I am good with that.
Now for the defense…had the defense stepped its game up last week…the Raiders are still in it.
They need another CB opposite Nnamdi. Why? Because look at what the Raiders ask their corners to do. play on an island on nearly every play with little over the top help and also leaving little doubt with the opponent as to what they will do.
The Raiders need to BAUCE CBs to make it go.

With the talent around Campbell all he needs to be is good and we can win a SB. DMC running the ball is hellacious! If these WRs, in particular, DHB comes alive ..you simply can’t stop this offense and a good QB can win it for you. He doesn’t need to be great if the team around him is better.

That guy is one of the best players we’ve picked up in the draft in a long time. A real student of the game. You just don’t get middle line backers that good in a draft very often who play well in their first year.
We had a great a great draft last year and we need a repeat this year. We need to pay attention to the OL and QB positions.

some of the observations I had on McClain was his sideline to sideline speed, and his big hit ability.
He seemed to be just a second late sort of playing on his heels reacting, instead of using his natural insticts to take over… He is really starting to show some promise… Was a good pickup…

McClain has been very good and what the team needed.
The issue of giving up these big plays is far bigger than any player on this team…I believe it has something to do with focus and preparation.
WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY tooooo many big plays for TDs.

Losing the weight has done Kelly wonders..He has been balling all year…We were getting great run penetration without richard seymour in the game….
That was a good testament to our Dline stepping up, and McClain ballin…We missed him in the jacksonville game….

QB is no longer the issue.
Is JC a top 5 QB…Nope…and you will NEVER get a top 5 QB off the shelf.
But he’s good enough to win the division….and if the defense made two stops last week…..the division title would be under their control

Everyone should know by now that the Chiefs and the Chargers are both jokes if one of them make the playoffs. None of them can defeat the Raiders (granted the Chiefs still remain) who are in the same damn division so how can they mount a challenge when they aren’t even the best in the division?

What the Tommy Kelly bashers also failed to realize is this is year #2 since his reconstructive knee surgery-a surgery that the Drs say takes 2 years to completely heal.The weight loss is great,but he is finally totally healthy.

Ok let’s look at where we are. We need both Sd and KC to lose next week.
Ciny is the best chance to beat SD because I don’t see the Broncos getting it done on the last week of the NFL.
Tennessee is very capable of beating KC in my opinion. Guess I’ll be rooting for Randy Moss and Chris Johnson next week.
WE can beat Indy, but we have to play lights out defense…

QB is only as good as the guys around him. QB is going to miss some throws completing 6 outta 10 passes us considered pretty dam good.
I saw you guys going back and forth over the Zack Miller drop earlier today. I think you guys were both right. It could have been a better pass, but the ball hit Zack in both his hands. Once we start making the majority of those plays, this offense will take off.

ZMiller and definitely Tyvon Branch fell off this year vs last. ZMiller has better stats than last year but he’s been dropping balls and missing blocks. He needs to be back to the kitchen and work on his craft.

I am stats guy, but a 63% completion % with 22 TD’s with only 6 int’s and a 93+ QB rating and a SB ring is pretty good, no matter what the circumstances.

Watched the first quarter of the St. Louis/KC game and it was REALLY hard to believe that these two teams were on top of their divisions.

Part of the reason he was underachieving was his injury which,btw,you refused to acknowledge.If the team felt he was so over weight,they should have told him.He was switching to the inside and might have been told to add the extra weight or due to the injury he couldn’t work as hard as he should have,which I happen to believe.Also,with the coaching mess,there really wasn’t any true leader to tell him what they wanted.

o line did good run blocking, ok pass blocking and as a whole have picked up their game. I think satslle gets punked still as does carlisle. walker is better than barnes or the kwame but seems to get hurt too easily. They can be upgraded…

The bias is there and if you don’t see it – you’re kidding yourself. In recent years even the commentators have conceded. We dominated to the point where the refs couldn’t stop us. But they kept Denver within reach for as long as they could. I mentions 14 points…you mention yardage…which would you rather have? Yardage they can equal things out in garbage time (like the holding call on Denver just before halftime – inconsequential)
“To overturn a ruling, he must see “indisputable visual evidence” that the call on the field was wrong.
Do you think they had that to overturn the incomplete call on the TD? What about the phantom illegal formation? Replay clearly showed we indeed had 7 men on the line of scrimmage. How do you explain these?
