Nick Miller was apparently more healthy than Johnnie Lee Higgins or won a game of rock-paper-scissors.
With Higgins inactive today against Denver, Miller is the likely punt return specialist.
Other Raiders inactives are rookie cornerbacks Walter McFadden and Jeremy Ware, running back Michael Bennett, linebacker Bruce Davis, guard Daniel Loper and guard Bruce Campbell. J.T. O’Sullivan is the third quarterback.
Inactives for Denver are kicker Matt Prater, safety Brian Dawkins, running back Laurence Maroney, cornerback Cassius Vaughn, offensive lineman Eric Olsen, wide receiver Demaryius Thomas and linebacker David Veikune.
Kyle Orton is the third quarterback, meaning his ribs are enough of an issue where he can’t play, as opposed to being used as an excuse to start Tim Tebow. The backup quarterback, should Tebow be injured, is Brady Quinn.
