Everybody just walks in lockstep and opines on “Campbell lost this” and we got “beat in the trenches” and blah, blah, blah…. The Raiders get screwed every year. No matter how many different HC we get will ALWAYS be the MOST PENALIZED TEAM IN THE NFL. FOREVER!!! MFers

These officials are more like movie directors. They orchestrate drives (ie ticky tack flags turning 4th downs into first downs for the Colts!), and then the commentators hue and cry about how “brilliant” Manning is; and how “the Raiders keep shooting themselves in the foot”. I am so glad I decided not to pay to see this corrupt crap!

Excellent point J Hill.

These guys can flog JC all they want. The bottom line is football games are won in the trenches. The Colts won both sides of the LOS. They throttled the Raiders run game for the most part.

Their defense was speedy enough to shut down the Raiders screen game. Plays to Reece and McFadden that might have burnt other defenses for huge gains got dragged down from behind for two yd gains. Again and again.

Eliminating the running game and the screen game put too much pressure on the o-line vs. Freeney,Mathis and co.

JC and the WR corps just aren’t good enough to make D’s pay for it. Not yet.

Jim Plunkett didn’t really have “it” either. The problem with this game, as a microcosm of the season, is a defense that breaks at inopportune moments. Campbell could get this team to the playoffs with some help at WR, center, and some more muscle at the interior of the defense. As for Cable, I think he’s here next year, and why not?
